Home cooked feel, southern charm, and excellent customer service. My boyfriend got the southwest taco salad and it was so good I kept stealing some from him. He said, "It was so good and they weren't skimpy on the chicken either!" I got breakfast food and am super picky about my eggs. Wonderful restaurant with a great menu and comfortable, open atmosphere in PB. We split the charcuterie board and some delicious desserts and it felt like something you'd get in an upscale restaurant in a big city--not a small town hours away. It took a while for them to get it ready but that's to be expected with a small staff and I believe they were preparing for a large group as well. I recently visited this restaurant for dinner and I was VERY impressed with the the food, dessert, and coffee. It was all delicious, very fresh, and came out pretty quickly. The decor was great and very industrial. The only reason I am docking a star is due to the fact that they could train the service a little better. The server asked if we wanted refills on our waters every time she came over instead of just doing it, which was about a dozen times. After our meal, our server told us that this was her first job and had only started 2 days ago. As an ex-waitress, I know it takes more than one shift to properly train an employee. I was just passing through with my family and looking for a good place to eat that wasn't fast food. The menu was really exciting and gave the appeal that we were going to try something new and different. That usually raises the expectations so it made the disappointment more obvious when the food was mediocre, only few things were fresh made, most were frozen and basic. The drinks were concentrated products, the kids were convinced the chicken strips were frozen Tyson brand, and the chicken dumplings turned out to be a soggy sloppy kind of soup ...my croissant was cold and stale. A lot of their sauces were too sugary and sweet when we were expecting savory. They had so much potential being that they're one of the only quality minded local owned places in the entire area. Things I wish they had: fresh house made flavored lemonades, fresh baked & toasted croissants, cream based dumpling recipe instead of the watered down chicken broth, house made breaded chicken strips and an option for dill pickles and just more savory alternatives in general. Extremely overpriced! Awkward seating. For anyone who is new coming to this place, you walk in and look around. You see they are obviously going for the rustic country barn theme....Which they overdo a bit too well. Their chairs are made of aluminum, and while it isn't their fault a customer may be on the heavy side, that was terrifying to sit and eat on. Anyway, like I said you walk in and expect to be seated like most restaurants. However instead there is this counter to the left of the door and you grab your menu, and order right there in the doorway! No time to browse the menu properly, no time to have a rest and chat. Staff was impatient and I felt very embarrassed for being new and having never eaten here before. They could tell I hadn't and didn't offer assistance other than to say the menu was on the wall, hidden in little alcloves. Also the food is subpar. I had a turkey pecan wrap, while it was good I would never pay that much for a medium sized wrap again. The side dish of mac and cheese was soooooo underseasoned and tasted dry. read more

What a great find! Driving from ATL to KC and stopped in for dinner. I walked in with my family to say we were driving through and had our little dog with us. They let us bring her in. We expected to eat outside on their nice front porch. Food was great. I had a combo meal of a cobb salad with baked potato. My other half had a cobb salad combo with soup and it was served with the most delicious roll. The kids split a bowl of fettuccine Alfredo. Super nice wait staff and very accommodating. Great place. My first date with my bf was here and I loved it. However, I'm giving it 4/5 because since I've returned my daughter and I ordered coffees and we waited over 30 minutes even when i had asked what the issue was. The waitress said they were having machine issues yet when the coffee finally arrived 10 minutes later, as we were walking out the door- they did not offer to refund. To me that's poor customer service. I would go back because food is always great but if service doesn't improve may limit my visits. read more

Way overpaid a really bad dinner experience.. service was really bad.. like got no bread that they kept forgetting.. my meal was sposta have 2 sides- only got one, and it was so long before we seen waiter that our meal was nearly complete so they did not even offer to bring it out anymore...waiter informed us that beings it was included in meal (although we did not get it), they could not deduct any from the price. I told waiter NO sour cream on my potatoe, I got sour cream in 2 tubs- and then was charged extra for sour cream??
