While driving around central texas, I always enjoy stopping here at the Bread Basket. They have a wide variety of foods in their restaurant and the attendants are very professional and courteous. I just got gas here at their Texaco too and the attendant offered me a free drink just because he sees me here regularly. Next door is the Taco Basket, Video Store and a Nail Salon so there's always plenty to do if you live nearby. read more

Alright so I was in town and was up early in the morning very hungry. I saw this convenience store and saw that they served tacos. I had no high expectations for them I was just starving. I bought 2 potatoe and egg tacos, and a burrito. The burrito was great, no complaints there. But the tacos...oh god, I have never tasted tacos as insidious as these. The egg and potatoe tasted like fish, and the salsa was abnormally bitter. I'm not one to complain about my food, it really takes a lot, but these tacos tasted so strange. I had to check twice to see if it was a fish taco! I have a feeling wherever they cook their eggs, they are cooking fish there as well without cleaning it. Am I surprised? No, its a cornerstore. I'm surprised to see the previous poor review. Maybe things have changed since then. I've never visited the "snack counter", but I have stopped in numerous times on my way home for this or that. Their prices are pretty reasonable for a convenience store and I've always found the personnel to be friendly and they work with a sense of urgency to get you in and out quickly. read more

This place is a store and a snack bar, produce counter, and meat counter all in one. Sounds great right? The people make this store a horrible place to shop. It is busy because it is the only thing close. Today when I was pumping gas one of the store employees, who is a very unpleasant person, burned rubber in his truck right in front of the store and then parked in one of the front parking spaces. That makes sense right? Now there is one less front spot for customers to use. So I got my gas and went into the store to see the snack bar, I stood there about 5 minutes and no one said anything to me. There was a lady cracking eggs in the back of the deli. She just stood there and looked at me. I think she may have been talking to someone I could not see. It made me angry and I said to the guy behind the check-out counter that if no one wants to help me that is fine and I walked out. I try not to go to this store and when I do go I am reminded right away why I try to avoid this place. They don't seem to care about customer service right now but there are several things being built around the area with the new race track about 5 miles away. They won't be the only thing around for very much longer. Here is to seeing your business decline. One thing I won't put up with is poor customer service. Is a smile and a thank you too much to ask? I think it's a nice store. BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE HANDY CAP AREA. OH, YEA THERE IS ONE BUT IT'S ALL THE WAY TO THE END. NO WHERE NEAR THE STORE THAT YOU GO IN AND OUT TO PAY FOR GAS. There is pillers, high steps, hard to go up and down when you are handy cap. Handy Cap people beware don't go there because in front of the store there is no way you can go up safely. I have to take a step holding on to the polls so I won't fall.. Unless they put it easy for the handy cap people I would say stay away. the only handy cap area is way down the other end. If you are getting gas that doesn't help. They should have it where you can go up and down in the middle of the store area.. read more

When I go and stop to get gas I go pay there is no safe place to go into the store. The HandyCap is all the way down to the other end at Fast Freddys. I mentioned it to the sales person taking my money & he says yes we have one out that door. I walked out that door and there wasn't any. I looked This store is at one corner & the handy cap is at the other corner. BE CAREFUL the steps are high. I am older than those young kids coming & going. I have to hold on to a pole so I won't fall. It is not safe to go buy gas there. I can't wait until they put the gas station I heard they were going to put near the high school, or the one they are talking about by the Popham elementry School.
