Absolutely worth the stop! We had a fantastic meal at Bed and Roses. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with the red beans, rice, and sautéed spinach. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The iced mocha and iced dirty chai were both excellent. Rich, well-balanced, and not too sweet. For dessert, we tried the coconut and chocolate brigadeiros. They were massive and incredibly delicious. This place has cozy vibes, great service, and food that really delivers. Highly recommend.

Big fan of the coffee and atmosphere. It's the definition of what a great local friendly coffee shop and bookstore should be. Not to mention the latte drinks here are top notch. The BlackBerry bliss iced latte is heavenly. Creamy, smooth cold foam with hits of sweet blueberry is perfect for summer. I got a small which is the size of a normal drink at most places. Inside is very inviting as there are several tables nestled among the books and plants. The music and decor will give you hippie vibes. There was live music on a Monday morning. There are also a few tables outside if you prefer the auns This place is great for meeting up but working to an extent but it could be challenging to grab an outlet and take a call depending on where you can find a seat if it is busy. Free 2 hour street parking out front. Definitely worth stopping by for a caffeine fix and supporting a great local LGBTQ business!

An all-vegan cafe and bookstore on the cape?! What more could I ask for... plus, the ambiance was exceptional and the staff was kind and helpful. My only gripe was that they were out of most of their drinks (and all coffee) when I visited. Would love to come back for their matcha or kombucha! My group tried a couple of sandwiches and the avocado toast. The best was the "the good trouble" sandwich.

Hands down one of my fav places on the entire cape. I love that they have so much local art and creations and that everything by default is vegan. The drinks and food are fantastic. The portion of the avocado toast was massive and so so so damn delicious. They usually have live music as well and a lovely seating area. An ethical and fantastic spot.

A really cute cafe bookstore that has a cool selection of books and queer affirming stuff everywhere (newspapers, books, decor). They have three distinct areas to sit in: a large communal table, some smaller 4 chair seating, and a back area with couches and arm chairs. The specialty latte itself was pretty alright. The price was high for a medium latte (7 dollars) but I think worth supporting this cool space.

Found this place after searching for a lavender latte. I love the vibes of this place. Everything about it is so warm and inviting. When I see books, I automatically feel comforted and they add a lot of color to the interior. They also sell stickers and greeting cards which are all cute. I love cute stationery and stickers. Their stickers are a bit expensive but since they are social cause-related stickers and are a bit harder to find in regular stores, I suppose it's not too bad. There are also plenty of spaces to sit which I appreciate because many cafes have limited seating. They mainly have your regular cafe tables and chairs inside but they also have a big dining table with some more chairs and a couch and some cushion chairs at the very back. The food is probably the least notable for me. The lavender latte was good but not great and the avocado toast was alright. Overall, this was a solid find!

I stopped by for coffee cause it was the first place I saw after we parked our car. Cozy little coffee shop/bookstore. They are all vegan. They do not have whole milk. I normally am not vegan. But I got my lavender latte with coconut milk. It was alright. They had a mushroom and leek soup that smelled wonderful but we were so full from lunch we had no space. Cute little place to come work, study or hang out with some books.

The food here is amazing! They were doing a $30 prix fix menu the night we were there which included a soup, salad, entree and dessert. They even brought a complimentary appetizer of hummus, baba ganoush, olives, olive oil and pita bread, which was delicious! Every single dish was beautifully presented and delicious! The service was excellent and the place was attractive too! I highly recommend it and we will be back! read more

Fantastic cafe with great coffee and food. I had the best breakfast sandwich ever there this past weekend. Friendly team behind the counter and a lot of interesting merchandise on the shelves. Keep an eye on the menu as it appears that sometimes what's on the wall doesn't reflect what they have house that day, or at least that was my observation recently. read more

This place has quickly become my favorite weekend breakfast spot. It's a calm, pretty space with delicious food and amazing vegan coffee drinks. We always spend too much on books but it's okay. We enjoyed a lovely lunch at this trendy book store/ vegan eatery. I ordered the Feta and Fig toast and it was superb! The combo of flavors hit all the right notes! The restaurant was bright, cheerful, and clean. Staff was friendly as can be!!! Wish I lived nearby to linger a little longer and get a good look at all the books and other items for sale!! Went to Bread & Roses to grab a cup of coffee and run, but wish we could have stayed longer! It is such a warm and inviting space, with so many amazing books and pieces of art all over. I got a lavender latte which was so delicious (and not soapy!). It was busy, but there were so many things to look at while you were waiting that the time flew by! read more

Great food and very friendly service from the staff. This bookstore/restaurant is an oasis in Cape Cod, welcoming folks from all walks of life. I'm not vegan but really appreciated the meal I purchased that left me very satisfied. Leaving the establishment made long for something similar in my own neighborhood. Book selection was stellar and I didn't want to leave once I got there. The online presence was (surprisingly) great. I thought I'd be talking to a bot for a pat response but was speaking to a person who was prompt, polite and extremely helpful. Special shout out to Courtney who was able to retrieve a lost receipt I needed, weeks after the trip. read more

OMG - this place is fabulous. Vegan, lovely atmosphere, friendly team, and books too. Who could ask for more? I had a cappucino with macadamia milk, which I didn't know existed until now. It is delicious and creamy with a bit of cocoa flavor: tastes like a mocha with a light touch. Highly recommend you visit this place on your trip to the Cape. read more

The Cape desperately needed a place like this. Super welcoming and comfy. The quinoa bowl was proper and subtly unique, the workers were super friendly, and the ginger-turmeric tea was perfect. The book selection was a little lacking and pricey but there were some interesting choices. So happy this place is here. read more

Delightful coffee shop. Atmosphere very cozy, it's not just a coffee shop, we had a pumpkin soup with dumplings that, was out of this world. The staff was very friendly and the chef Joe even came out so say hello. It is a venue that encourages staying there and enjoying a long coffee break. They have some big plans coming up in the near future ie music sidewalk seating ect. I really enjoyed my time there, both of us did! read more

I had the oyster mushroom carnitas burrito the other day, and it knocked my socks off!!! seriously amazing burrito! I'm looking forward to trying the Portuguese breakfast burrito next. if you're into burritos this place is for you! We were walking down the street looking at menus and stepped into this wonderful restaurant full of plant-based menu items, a small yet complete bar, and lots of tables. The atmosphere is part bistro and part cafe. We had beer and cocktails (lavender lemon drop martini.. yum) plus an olive appetizer and two dinners. We liked all the food so much... my portobello burger was amazing. My plate was clean when I was done, The desserts looked wonderful but we were full. We are planning a return trip for some (and probably another martini). Oh and we bought a new cookbook in the store too. read more

Went to browse books because I love a bookstore cafe -- left with an awesome blackberry matcha latte, vegan brownie and coffee cake (I'm not vegan but it was amazing!) and like $100 in merch-- great tote bags, prints, stickers, and a children's book about disability by a local cape cod author. 10/10 would recommend! We were also able to hang out and sip our drinks with a baby in toe, there was plenty of space and a comfy couch to give him a bottle. Service was great, my barista was friendly and helpful and I can't wait to go back! read more

This past fall I met a friend for breakfast and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. A vegan friend was in town so I suggested we go there for breakfast. Yesterday three of went there. We ordered 3 meals. They were not inexpensive. The egg on sourdough was so small it looked like a tea sandwich. Our biggest complaint though was that all of the meals were cold including the waffle. For forty dollars we st least expect warm food. Don't bother eating here. read more

This is not "fish and chips" but real food and great choice for those of us who eat plant based healthy food. We have eaten at Bread and Roses several times and are never disappointed. Books are piled high, they fall, ghosts get blamed. It is a pleasant haunt.

Such a welcoming place! I love B&R and it's become a quick favorite for me. The coffee is great (seriously delicious cold brew) and the space is everything I could ask for - books, food, social consciousness, music, a bar, and a crowd that cares about humanity. Can't sing their praises enough! They are a great addition to the community and you can tell they truly care about it. I've been recommending it to all my friends and family. read more

This place is anti police and facilitates hatred. They actually sell stickers that say "F#%k the police". Service is terrible to say the least. Plenty of places to grab a coffee. They don't deserve your business or your hard earned money. Was just informed that they don't like to pay their employees for the work that they due. This is going to get really interesting! read more

Bread & Roses is the BEST! I'm not a vegan and I still enjoyed a smoothie and some of the best and flavorful avocado toast I've ever had. My friend got one of their vegan sandwiches and it was so good! The vibe is amazing and the people are super friendly and cute. And not the mention the awesome selection of books and other goods:) Love it read more

Stumbled across this place last month on our visit to Hyannis. It was such a delightful find! Delicious coffee, smoothies and food. Our small kids ran around like crazy people and the staff was so sweet with them. This place has such a fun vibe (I want to come back without my kids and have a drink lol). Can't wait to visit again! read more

This place is discussing and sad... They promote domestic terrorism & sell stickers that say "f**k the police". I have also heard that none of their food is fresh and they have a dirty kitchen. Everyone needs to stay far away from this nasty shop and their disturbing socialist views that are destroying main street. read more

I guess if you don't mind sitting around with smelly un bathed people than look no further. Overpriced, not worthy of a 2nd visit back. Prices on the books were exaggerated and lacking good content. I thought my Granddaughter would enjoy this new place, she was not impressed. read more

Such a wonderful little spot with great food and drinks. Love the vegan menu, which is so welcome on the Cape where many places have no vegan options. The vibe here is awesome and the staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to visit when you're on the Cape! read more

I FOUND SEAGULL IN SANDWICH!! I bit into my sandwich to find what turned out to be a seagull foot! BREAD AND ROSES MORE LIKE MOLDY BREAD AND WEEDS!! If you couldn't tell I'm fuming with anger/confusion. Overall, wouldn't recommend. read more

The food was very disappointing unfortunately. We tried it because it was the only spot on main street that didn't have a line (for good reason it turns out). Not worth the stop with so many other options around. read more
