But at the same time, she's sooo good that I have been driving all the way to Brea to keep seeing her. In fact, on my way there today, I realized that my package is almost over so I was mentally preparing to "break up" with Kay. This is tough. She's been with me as I experienced major milestones in my life, etc. But since I moved last year, driving here for a facial takes me 45+ minutes each way. But... As soon as the session started I felt like I melted onto her table. Her hands are so darn good. The session starts with a great accupressure massage. She really beats up your face so gently. Hahaha. I think I fell asleep after she vacuumed my face. I woke up when she applied this super cold face mask. Lo and behold, I ended up buying another package. I have tried out closer places to my home. But no one beats Kay and her competency, massages, fancy machines, great products, and just amazing customized facials. Although I've been going to her for over 10 years, she knows how to keep things updated and customizes each session depending on what's up with my face. It's amusing seeing her joy and excitement when she tells up she's going to use a new machine at that session. My favorite is the scaler/planer thing. Sounds like she's zapping my face but my face feels so smooth afterwards. Setting up appointments is easier now via text. You could call, but I just like texting.

My first consultation was with nurse Amy, and she was so kind, patient, and a great listener. My conversation with her initially helped me gained trust in the business. However, I am hesitant to return for continued treatment because: - Skin tag removal scheduling options are extremely limited (my drive is far, and I'd like to have more flexibility of days I could get the treatment done). - No numbing cream. I'm not sure I could tolerate anymore treatments without some kind of effective numbing cream... please support your spa and staff with products that help ease patient discomfort. - Cost. Although I don't mind paying for a treatment I really need, considering the pain level with no numbing cream and the time it takes to remove skin tags (because I have to keep returning), the price is at a much higher end than seems reasonable. Overall, the new 2nd floor space is nice and rooms seem well maintained. Staff has been so friendly and helpful! When you step inside, check in to the right as they share a building with a salon.

Do not recommend I…read morewas seeing Roxanne a few years ago. My husband and I started fertility treatment at the same time and it was suggested by my Dr to no longer continue treatment. I started back up with Roxanne earlier this year and when my busy season for work came up, I went to another tech in the meantime (all of May, June and up until the first week of July) because she told me how important consistency was. During my last session with the last tech a few weeks ago, she absolutely ruined my skin and I ended up in the ER due to severe inflammation and irritation on my skin. I knew Roxanne was the best option moving forward and even moved my own clients, so I could get in and see Roxanne and make this consistent again with her. I told her I was committed and permanently moved clients, so I could continue seeing her. I have come in when I had a bad back and she even suggested cancelling my appointment when my back first went out. I went back and looked at our texts: March 27 - my back was bad and she is the one who suggested cancelling, so I did April 15 - I let her know the day before that there were personal matters I was dealing with, with my grandma. We rescheduled to the 23rd and I woke up with the flu that day and I paid the cancellation fee Today, I woke up extremely sick. Unfortunately, I work with kids and I am sick often, so I have to reschedule sometimes. I've always paid the cancellation fee and have rescheduled as needed, when needed. Apparently she doesn't care about anyone's health and the spreading of illness and terminated me as a client today "because of too many cancellations", as if I hadn't just paid her the cancellation fee. As a business owner, I think it's ultimately up to the clients on consistency and their schedule. If they're willing to spend the money and have breaks in between treatment, due to personal or health matters, it's not up to the technician on if that client is a good fit or not, especially when that client is apologetic, pays their cancellation fees and was getting treatment when they couldn't see you.

I reached Mirako Spa in Brea for my facial appointment exactly 3 mins late. A lady who told me that…read moremy appointment was at 2:30pm. (I have attached text messages that my appointment was at 2:45pm). Upon showing the text message, she agreed that I was late by 3 mins. (+ 5 mins grace period). I was informed right away that I need to reschedule as I was late or cut down my facial time from 60mins to 40 mins. I should have arrived 15 mins before the appointment time. Therefore, my showing up delayed by 3 mins would delay the next client by 15 mins as they needed time to prepare for the next client! Math doesn't add up any way we look at it unless they had informed in advance to show up 15 mins before the appointment time, which they hadn't. 1. There was absolutely no notification or instruction provided to me about arriving 15 mins early before the appointment time at the time of making my appointment or text reminder. Therefore if one is late by less than. 10 mins, they lose their facial time by 20mins and are lashed out if clients try to reason out. I was told me to depart as I was 3 mins late or reduce my facial time by 20 mins. 2. Jenny, who came over from inside took over the conversation, was very unprofessional and rude. She argued with me for 15 mins non-stop when I tried to reason out that if I was late by 3 mins, if they wanted to be a stickler of time without informing me to arrive 15 mins early, they should take away 3 mins of my time not, 20 mins. She yelled at me saying "I don't want you to come here ever, I never want to give you service!". I don't understand how Mirako Spa even employs such people who are clueless about how to treat clients with courtesy, let alone working in a service industry. Here is the twist: when I checked in, another lady besides Jenny told me that my appointment was at 2:30pm, which their mistake to begin with as my appointment was at 2:45pm. It appears that they messed up with their own scheduling but because I was 3 mins late for my 2:45 appt, I bore the brunt of Jenny's unprofessional behavior as she couldn't admit that they had accidentally messed up scheduling my appointment. Instead she told me to leave or get a facial cut down by 20mins! I am attaching screenshots of my appointment time. As per Jenny, I should have a common sense to show up 15 mins before appointment time even though I wasn't informed about arriving early or else, appt that was anyway scheduled incorrectly by 15 mins sooner, from what I was notified. Try to avoid Jenny if you go to Mirako Spa in Brea, she can be scathing, unreasonable, and unprofessional. Try to reach 15 mins prior to your appointment even if they don't notify you.
