Mao's Garage will always be on my Mount Rushmore of mechanic shops. Brought my car for a…read moredifferential swap and Mike was able to schedule me relatively quick and offered a more than fair price! The job was completed in quick and honest fashion. What makes Maos garage a go-to-spot for me is his attention to detail. While working on my car, he noticed my tensioner and drive belt were worn out and caught this before a catastrophic roadside breakdown. At no point did I feel pressured to get anymore work done than what I requested, and mike seamlessly completed this side job with no extra downtime. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here for any of your automotive needs.

As the invoice says, they charged me for "top off fluids" on the last line in photo. I check my coolant after getting my car back and it's at one inch.. my washer fluid is also very low. (I don't mind that, not necessary) but for my coolant to be very low even though they charged me to top off fluids is bad business. Aside from that, My issue was that under heavy load, like going up a large hill or pushing to go into freeway, my steering wheel would stiffen and my battery light would flash. Took it to them, they didn't contact me for 3 days. I had to call them and Mike says 'I didn't have your number I lost it. Ok cool. He said he'll call me the next day to discuss the issue. 2 days pass I go into the shop and ask. He says he lost my number again. NO communication. All in all I still have the issue of battery light turning on under heavy load. They didn't fix the issue, I still paid. and they tried overcharging.

**CONVERSION AND BREACH OF BAILMENT**…read more Just got a new 2026 Mercedes CLE53. I purchased a full catback exhaust and decided to bring in my car to this shop to get it installed. Josh was the one who scheduled me over the phone and handled the installation. Originally he quoted me $250 but because he said it was more complicated than anticipated, he let me know it will actually be $350. He was friendly, transparent, and got the job done. I understood and agreed to the mark up and was happy with the work, so I even left him a tip. The stock exhaust is all one piece so Josh told me that I could store it at their shop and come back another day to pick it up. A few weeks later I was finally able to get a sprinter van to come pick it up so I gave them a call to give them a heads up. They let me know that the owner literally sold the exhaust "yesterday". He said the owner tried reaching out a few times to let me know, but I have my call logs that show otherwise. I will reach back out, and give the owner a chance to make things right. Brand new OEM CLE53 Exhausts are not cheap at all. If he does not try to resolve, I have a strong legal case in court. "When the exhaust shop agreed to store your stock exhaust for you to pick up later, a legal relationship known as a bailment was created. In a bailment, one party (the shop, or "bailee") takes temporary possession of property belonging to another party (you, or the "bailor") under an agreement. By selling your property without your permission, the shop committed conversion (the civil law equivalent of theft) and breach of bailment."
