Nice and tight musicianship and good stage presence. The audience all seemed to know each other-- big fans there for the final show of their friends. Some of the women were a bit...shall we say...long in the tooth, intent on imagining themselves as they were in their 20s. However, 30-something years of chain smoking and frying their hair with fake blonde (turning it to straw), has aged them considerably. Wearing outfits cut down to there to make up for that. So if you're a dude of a certain age, you'll probably get lucky if you want. Depends on your tastes. The bartender and cocktail waitress were practically surly. The bathrooms were tiny and a little ramshackle. $15 cover charge. Can't judge the food because I just had beer, but at least I didn't have to have cash and could use a debit card for a tab, so that was good.

They were ok, comparable to Brewsters but prefer places that charge 45-49 cents per wing. I also ordered the calamari ($13.99) and me and my friends were very disappointed in them. I'd say they were more like fried popcorn pieces with lots of batter, way over fried and I would never guess it was calamari. Definitely not worth the price and wouldn't recommend them. The plus side was they have many different beers and the service was awesome. Maybe will have to try some other items on the menu if ever go back

However, the second experience was disappointing to say the least. I received a text message claiming I had missed my reservation followed by an inappropriate "wtf?" remark. When I provided a screenshot confirming my actual reservation for a different night the texter responded with "ha ha, my bad, must not have gotten the memo." Upon arriving for my confirmed reservation, there was no table reserved for us. We were placed at leftover table in a corner, the service was subpar, the owner displayed unprofessional behavior when he incorrectly to my friend as Mexican. When she corrected him, stating she was Venezuelan, he unapologetically laughed and walked away. The only reason I am giving two stars is because of the positive first visit.

We decided to do it again for 2022. Three of us charted the route on Dec 29th and went into the pub after. The two pizzas and wrap we had were excellent. (I had a pizza at BP in October and this was hands down far superior) Something about a wood burning oven just warms a person. We had about 22 people into the pub after our NYE hike. Everyone ordered food and drinks. There were a couple of forgotten drinks but overall the service was good and the food was excellent as well. It seems Glenn has done some renovations since we were last there. The place looked good and was clean. We were glad to be back. :) Happy New Year Uncle Glenn!

Vee restaurant is located at Century Casino in St. Albert, AB…read more It offers a wide range of foods and drinks for all taste buds. I went to Vee a little over a month ago at an event at Century Casino, and had the chance to eat there for the first time. I ate the ginger beef plate, served with a sweet chili teriyaki sauce with vegetables and chow mein noodles (jasmine rice is also available). The dish had a sweet taste to it, and has a little heat to it. A very delicious dish for those who enjoy Asian foods. The second time I ate at Vee, I took the wonton soup, which comes in two sizes (small and large). Shrimps can be added with a charge. This soup is absolutely amazing!!!! There is a very generous amount of vegetables, a good number of wontons and chow mein noodles are also added to the soup. The broth is the traditional wonton one - it can be enjoyed by itself or with a pinch of soya sauce. Vee has a small stage for live music, and has many television screens, where sports can be watched and enjoyed with a good meal and a drink. The drink menu at Celly's Sports Bar Lounge is complete and varied - local and imported beers, ciders, cocktails and wine. The food menu includes pub style foods. Brunch is available on the weekend, from 9:30 AM to 2 PM, for those who like sleeping in on the weekend. Finally, Vee restaurant & Celly's sports bar is a great place to eat, watch sports or live music, or to take a break from playing at the casino.

I thought about it, but then I noticed the nachos for one, and I had to have it. I could live on nachos, but I often find that if I order them in a restaurant, they only have one massive size that's only meant for sharing with three or so people. If no one else wants nachos.... The nachos for one was a perfect size. They were generous with the sour cream, salsa and cheese. And YES, the re was lovely, gooey cheese on every chip. Such a rare thing. Plus they were oven baked, not nuked. Service was good too. Caitlyn knew to grab me another Kokanee whenever i made eye contact, and that was much appreciated. The highlight of the evening was the band Wow. What a talented bunch! Everyone on that stage was incredible. They have three singers, and the sound just works so many ways. Their best song was a cover of 'Something About You' from Level 42. So well done, such a rich sound. I realize this review is not about the band, but they were the reason we came, and now that I know the food and service are good, I'll be back for sure. Especially if Wow is playing.

The perfect server. The manager, David, is really great. Friendly and super welcoming, considering I'd only been once before. I noticed that he was attempting to change out the sandwich board for the band, so asked if I could help (ex art major, with a lot of typography experience). He was happy to let me. So that was fun. :) I had a couple beers and the Italian sausage flatbread pizza. OMG! SO good! And the prices were perfectly respectable. Definitely planning to make this place a regular stop on my relaxing/drinking/socializing rounds now.
