My annual skin check with PA-C Michael was quite thorough. He answered my questions and provided explanations as needed. Thankfully nothing suspicious was found. After that, I came back for dermaplaning. It was my first-ever experience with that, and Taylor reviewed everything with me first, explaining what she was going to do and letting me know what to expect. I felt comfortable the whole time, and my skin now looks and feels so much better. All of the people I met during both visits could not have been more kind, caring and helpful.

The front desk gal with the long brown hair for some reason speaks to me in a condescending manner…read moreevery time I walk into the Scottsdale office needing service as a legitimate patient. The first time I came to the Scottsdale office was in early August immediately following an appointment at my primary care physician's office during which he had informed me I needed to consult with a dermatologist for the problem I was having with my skin. She greeted me coldly when I told her I was a past patient of Dr. Lee Laris. I explained that I had been previously referred to him by Heather Thomas, and I had seen him previously at the Phoenix location. Excelling at providing "customer no-service," she informed me that it had been so long since I had seen Dr. Laris that I would now be considered a new patient (though I obviously was not new to the practice), and that even if his his medical team would agree to let him see me (WHAT!?!? Yes, they apparently very mechanically manage and control his schedule for him like in impenetrable force field) that there were no appointments available until January of next year. Keep in mind, she was telling me this in August of 2022 that he would not be able to see me until January of 2023 IF his medical team would even permit it. WTH?!? So we leave it that she is going to check with them and get back to me. I waited a few days. I eventually received a call from Phoenix Skin stating that I would be unable to see Dr. Laris AT ALL, but that they would schedule me to see a different provider at the Phoenix office. I drove the distance to the Phoenix office (I live in north Scottsdale), and I saw the alternate provider. The provider was fine. My issue with my skin was addressed. A F/up was scheduled. I arrived for my follow up on the day my appointment was scheduled approximately 15 minutes early only to be met by the same long-haired brunette and told that there was no appointment for me in her system. I am thinking, "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING!" So, this gal acts assumes I surely must have gotten the date and/or time of my appointment wrong until she phoned the Phoenix location who had scheduled this follow up appointment for me and confirmed that I was supposed to be seen by her office at the time I had given her since I live closer to that location. They "worked me in" so I did not need to reschedule which was a relief though a bit stressful. That being the case, they acted as though they were doing me a favor as if it was my mistake instead of apologizing for their mistake. In my opinion, that, in itself, was another error in judgement. Provider again was fine during the appointment. I received the care and information I needed. My questions were answered though I felt a bit rushed. Upon checkout, I attempted to purchase a product from a nice enough lady sitting at a check out desk (completely independent of the check in gal and check in counter) which the dermatologist recommended during said appointment. For some ungodly reason this jerk of a check in ... receptionist ... brunette long-haired girl with an attitude interjected, "We don't sell everything the Phoenix location sells!" First of all, I don't care what the Phoenix location sells. I am not present at the Phoenix location today. The dermatologist at YOUR location TODAY asked me to purchase it here TODAY (at the Scottsdale office), and I live 5 minutes from the Scottsdale office. I really have no interest in having to drive all the way back to the Phoenix office ever again if there is any way this can be avoided. Nobody asked for you unsolicited information. You checked me into the office for my appointment. Now please know the limits of your position, stick to the duties of your job description, and stay out of the remainder of my visit. The other gal, the check out lady, proceeded to fetch the product I was directed to purchase by my dermatologist THAT VERY DAY IN THAT VERY OFFICE LOCATION FROM HER PRODUCT STOCK. I was then asked, "It costs over $100, is that okay?!?" How rude. Do I look like I come from the poor house? Did you not notice my Tom Ford sunglasses or my Louis Vuitton bag? $100 makes no difference. Even if it did, the proper and polite thing to do would be to simply charge the consumer for the requested item without issue or incident. If the customer has a problem with the price, believe me, the customer will bring it to your attention ... SO LET THEM ... rather than insulting your customers. There is a definite training need here. I have been quite saddened and disappointed by my repeated mistreatment in this office by the front desk staff. This is quite a shame because the actual doctor and medical assistant did a fine job.

Pros: pretty salon, nice location, kind staff, tries to fix mistakes…read moreCons: gaslights, expensive, doesn't give correct color/services, veryyyy long service I went yesterday just to touch up my brown hair since it was grown out. I showed pictures of my hair to the stylist and explained I had been getting my hair glossed every other month to that color. She convinced me I should dye it instead and get it toned. I trusted her since she was the stylist and she dyed my hair black when I had shown a picture of warm brown. :( Then when she began to dry my hair I was obviously shocked and was like this is alot darker than the color we had discussed... and she explained "no your hair is still drying" (gaslight 1x). Then when it was very obvious my hair was then dried, she then said "it's bad lighting, it's the correct color in other lighting" (gaslight 2x), then when it was obvious no matter what lighting the color was very wrong she decided to blame ME, she then said "your hair takes up dye a lot easier than most people's so your hair is a little odd" (gaslight 3x). Which also this is incorrect because she dyed my clip in extensions the same color lol. After gaslighting me 3x she continues on the appointment acting like it's ending soon instead of trying to fix my hair. I then tell her I'm going to the restroom so that I can go talk to the front without making a scene. When I showed the front my inspiration picture, the woman looked SHOCKED. She was like "oh maybe let's go outside and take pictures in natural light it'll be better" Then when she took pictures outside it was still black. And she acknowledged that it was black. So then the front desk woman went to the stylist explaining she needed to try and fix this (how come the stylist needed me to escalate the situation to even fix it). The front desk woman also told me she got me and that I was covered. In my head I was like okay maybe they'll fix it and at least it's comped now since she said I'm covered. They try SO hard to fix it, dye remover, clarifying shampoo, my 1.5hr appointment is now turning into a painful 5 hour appointment. I had to cancel everything else that day just to let the stylist ATTEMPT to fix my hair that she ruined. Then at the end of the 5 hours, my hair then reassembled brown again, not the color I had asked for at all, but I was happy it wasn't black anymore. I could also tell they were not going to be able to lift the color anymore and that this was as close as it'd get. The front desk woman then came over and was like "oh good!! Your hair isn't black anymore!! It's actually brown!" Girl.... Then she leads me to the front, and the same woman who told me I was covered asked how I would like to pay for the $150 appointment, I guess they decided to revoke me being covered since my hair reassembled brown. I've been getting my hair dyed darker brown for over a year now and other salons have never had an issue nor charged this much. Please be cautious when using this salon so you don't have to experience what I did. Attached are the pictures I asked for, picture of my black hair, then picture of me with my now very very dark brown hair.

My visit was 5-stars my doctor was kind, thorough, and I trusted her. I paid my copay, was seen quickly, and had a biopsy taken while there. Awesome. My results came back and were delivered to me. Yay. Just about 2 months later, I'm getting bills via email and text from pinnacle dermatology, for the amount of my copay. No description of what it's for or even my name. No account or billing number. I thought it was sketchy so I called the main number. Transferred to billing, and the lady told me that the bill was correct. Um, what's it for? Finally got out of her that it was a separate co-pay for the lab. Ok, am I getting a real bill? She said it's being mailed but they send out the texts and emails first. I tell her ok, I'll pay it if it's legitimate once I receive the real bill, but fyi it's pretty backwards to send electronic bills with no name or info before the bill is mailed. Comes across like a scam. She says "okay..." - then a long silence. Um, ok? So I didn't know what to say. She asks if there's anything else she can help me with. I'm thinking, clearly there is not. I laugh and say "no I guess there isn't" and she hangs up. Rude customer service turned a great experience into a total lack of trust.
