As I said, I have been going to Ani for brow shaping and event makeup for years, she did my makeup for my engagement photos and my wedding. Ani's team took such good care of my bridal party, they all looked like they were going to a red carpet event. Now that she has gone out on her own it is on a whole new level. The salon is gorgeous, it would fit in with any salon here in NYC. I have gone to both Ashely and Briana for brows and makeup as well and as they have been trained by Ani and they are just as fabulous too. In her new salon, Ani has just introduced spray tanning and skin care services to her menu. With this long and cold winter my skin had been looking drab and dull and I thought for a facial and peel for $150 I can't loose. My peel was scheduled with Briana and all I have to say is WOW! The facial included an apple stem peel with 2 masks and serums. During the peel I listened to relaxing music and received a killer hand massage. I have had several chemical peels in my day, I guess you could say I am a bit of a connoisseur. This peel is on the lighter side and I have not experienced any peeling, so there is not 1 minute of downtime. No downtime - all results! Being in town from NYC I met with 2 friends for dinner right after my peel. They were raving about how soft my skin felt and how much my skin was glowing. The next day I had brunch with another friend and my skin looked so good I only put concealer on under my eyes and some mascara, my skin was on full display! I had 3 women ask me what foundation I was wearing throughout the day. If that isn't the best compliment, I don't know what is. I will wrap this up, don't walk - RUN to Ani's new location and make an appointment with Ani, Ashley and Briana stat!

I'm sorry to say that this one was a BIG fail for me. I thought we could go together, since she was nervous and I needed gray root coverage and a good new cut/style anyway. We saw two different stylists and sat next to each other at the salon. My cut: I had asked for long layers and some shape and to please not use a razor edge to feather the layers (I personally don't care for that method or how that looks on me - I much prefer more blunt-cut layers) The junior stylist I had had no clue how to do anything but the feather/razor edge for layers, and basically acted like there was literally no other possible way to achieve a long layered cut. We went back back-and-forth for 10 minutes with her looking utterly confused at what I was suggesting. (I've had other cut methods hundreds of times. I was confused at her confusion.) She told me she's been out of school less than a year. I simply couldn't get through to her, so I gave in and had her basically just give me a boring blunt cut instead. The color she gave me was darker than I asked too, plus I left with dark marks around my face! My stylist was kind - I'm really not trying to say she wasn't, but she wasn't very warm or personable either. She seemed extremely young and checked out. My daughter's cut was the more heartbreaking one for me. She had gorgeous hair down to her bottom and we finally decided to give it a really good cut (tired off nightly tangles). It took the other gal under 10 minutes and it was completely uneven (see pic). I had to take her somewhere else to get it fixed. :( She was kind enough too but not very great with kids. Do not bring a kiddo here (I thought maybe a "real salon" would give her a better cut despite not being targeted to kids. I was wrong.) I'm really bummed because I had a lot of high hopes for this place opening up in Ambler and for finally finding a good stylist for both me and my daughter, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. The value for what I paid is really shocking to me. To pay $250 for one cut/color with a junior stylist and one child's cut and both were this bad is super disappointing.
