It's worth finding! It's like a fun fitness party. The workouts are all a bit different and all incredible. I felt stronger and more energized after starting at SweatBox. The main SweatBox classes offer a combination of cycling, weights, and more in a high-intensity interval training format. It's a full body workout. Expect high energy, upbeat music, dim lights, and plenty of sweat. There is also a Stretch and Mobility class that is great for loosening up tight muscles. The instructors have a very positive attitude and inspire the students. This isn't one of those studios where you'll feel shamed or intimidated. Much of the credit goes to the Studio Manager, Gwen, who is also a fantastic instructor and lovely person. Gwen makes sure that everyone gets a great workout while having a great time in class. SweatBox is super lucky to have her! For me, it comes down to this: SweatBox motivates me to beat my own personal bests. I saw huge changes in my endurance and confidence after only a few classes. I would definitely recommend giving this studio a try.

Amy & her husband, my coaches were a surprise Amber and Meredith-Grace!!. They even surprised us with a feature of a martial arts/self defense instructor! and he showed us some moves!!.... That workout was tough!!! I'm STILL sore even with only doing 3 sets each of different activities! I did the 18lb kettlebells & other things whole body felt like noodles!! But well worth it!!!... I loved that it was simple challenging they had army training guys on hand and my spotter was a 70 year old cool diabetic who taught me things I could pass on to my LOOOVE so it was a fantastic place and day!! I hope there's more classes because blind/vision impaired ppl are ppl too we just need a little more time and patience to navigate the world. I majorly LOOOVEd that everyone treated us as if we were just normal ppl coming to workout and we could see everything!! & the spotters were there just so we wouldn't hurt ourselves since it's our first go!!!

I've been coming for about 8 months now since their elementals class which gives you the basics on form, what to expect in the classes, etc. These were fantastic and I highly recommend to familiarize yourself to a CrossFit workout. Now I'm addicted and come about 2-3 times a week along with other workouts I do. In just 8 months, I feel like I've made so much more progress than in any other fitness routine I've done. I'm strong, toned, and I have never been injured here.. just a few bruises and sore muscles. Oh but it hurts so good, because I really see and feel the difference. In just one hour, you'll have the best workout of your life every time. The coaches here are really amazing and make sure they watch your form and make modifications so you don't get hurt, but truly you have to understand your limits and ask questions when needed. I'm amazed that my torn knee and back have not bothered me at all anymore now that I've strengthened the main and accessory muscles. I feel so strong!!! Thanks for making me feel like such a badass!!!

I've never really thought of myself as a HIIT workout kinda girlie, but since Pentagon City barely has ClassPass locations, I decided to use my trial credits here. Coming here for the first time was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and Victor was able to walk me through the whole studio and the Monday Mont Blanc process being a first time customer. They start with a warm up and every set is 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest. You go through each of the 9 stations for 2 sets and you repeat the entire circuit twice. The entire time is 45 minutes, and the workouts and timers are always on display on the screen to keep you on track. The music is upbeat, the weights / workouts are intuitive, and modifications are welcome. Additionally, the studio is clean, and there is a shower in the bathroom if you need it. Bring a water bottle and a towel because you will SWEAT! I definitely recommend F45 if you're trying out classpass or as a membership if you're committed to HIIT, resistance, and cardio -- it's a great place to get fit!

I thought that this was an awesome green solution rather than constantly using and throwing away gym wipes. 'Hoping my home box will implement this too. The coaches are so positive and motivating, as well as thorough in their pre workout demonstrations and make those small corrections in our movements that make all the difference in our results and the burnnn! The HIIT circuits are setup so nicely, flowing through about 10 different stations and leaving the whole body worked by the end of the class. These classes are pretty solid for building muscle but you're not going to get huge or insanely strong with this style of workout. This will be more for toning muscle/athletic build as well as gaining functionality and work capacity. It's nice that it's all based on time rather than numbers so everybody can go at their own pace. However, if you really want to push yourself as hard as possible, then I'd say this targets the heart and lungs more than anything, and health is what it's really all about. This is even true in the resistance classes, which you always leave with a serious pump. The weights you're using aren't as heavy as CrossFit which mostly allows for you to push yourself in a safer and higher paced manner and there's more variance in exercises and movements than Orange Theory without the concern of running injuries so while all of the big name HIIT enterprises have some advantages, I believe F45 is the best because it has the most well-rounded diverse stimulus mentally and physically and therefore has the most potentially for truly being "in-shape", healthy, functional, and athletic because you're more motivated to consistently train hard and allowed to do so while staying injury free. If I have to knock it I'd say that some of the exercises are more body building oriented (fly's and curls) than I'd like, but most are also performance based. I will also admit, if this were my only training then I'd definitely like to have heavier weights on resistance days because those end up mostly being muscle endurance for me (which ultimately is more important than raw strength if I'm forced to choose). I'd also appreciate a little more sprinting but I know that greatly increases the injury risk so I understand the omission there. Also if there was more space, I would love to incorporate something more explosive like med ball throws and rope climbs. All in all though, considering the energy in there, the results you'll get from start to finish only sacrificing 45 minutes to make the rest of your day better, and possibly even have another little social outlet, this place is great!

THE BLACK AND WHITE: I remember when this place in it's old spot down the road. I'm glad they moved because this space is 2x as big and 5x as nice. They've upgraded the restroom situation to 2 rather than a single unit! Gamechanger. My experience is mainly with olympic lifting competitions, namely Cap City Open. That competition is traditionally held in the Spring and on a Sunday. I participated this year and was pleasantly surprised at the new gym. More lighting and 2 platforms for simultaneous lifting made this year's event run very smooth. Aside from the lifting event, the gym has a plethora of equipment (aka toys). There are plenty of rogue rigs to perform squats, pull ups, ring dips, etc. There were also some unknown rigs (yeah i'm talking about the monkey bars) scattered across the gym. As for the programming, I would assume it is like a traditional crossfit class: warmup, strength, and then a VO2 max conditioning wod. That's something I would call and confirm with Trident Crossfit. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Huge space. Great Coaches. Awesome community. That is all.
