Chicken sandwich
Anthony B.

I've passed this place a bunch of times on my way to and from work and have been meaning to try it. I think one thing this area has a shortage of is amazing Pollo a la braza spots that are abundant in other areas like the DC metro area. I finally had a few spare minutes so I stopped in for lunch while passing by the other day. The restaurant has been gorgeously redone inside. The food behind the glass plated windows looked amazing... fresh and hot and so many choices from meats to sides! I didn't know where to start but I want to try everything! I didn't see any rotisserie chickens out so I decided to order a chicken sandwich. After I ordered I saw one of the cooks open the charbroiler and it was filled with delicious pollo a la braza! I'm going to have to try that next time but for now my chicken sandwich: it's served with fries that were crispy and piping hot, but the best part was the sandwich. First, it was massive. It was grill pressed and served Cuban style topped with lettuce, tomato, and some sort of mayo that was amazing. It also had ham on it (which I wasn't aware of when I ordered) so be advised if ham isn't your thing let them know to exclude it, but the combo of meats worked very well in my opinion! I was only able to eat half as it was so large but saved the rest for lunch the next day. Can't wait to go back again and try the pollo a la braza and other meats. Also they had a large selection of whole and cake slices with flavors like pineapple and guava, along with tres leches, flan, and assorted pastries for purchase. My only gripe is it wasn't clear which family style combo meals included roasted chicken. The staff told me combo 1 for $21 but the menu was a little vague. Maybe just clarify that but this place overall hit a home run! Give it a try and hopefully you'll like it as much as I did!

They always run out of chicken like wtf. They always have the music really loud you can't even hear what the person serving you is saying

I came here with a co-worker late at night and this place was still busy! After having one dish I…read morecan see why. The family operated restaurant has some great authentic dishes and the flavors are spot on. The staff is super friendly and they speak Spanish. I had the Shredded beef rice bowl with beans and sweat plantains. They asked me if I wanted cheese on my dish, but because I'm Puerto Rican and you never put cheese on Rice and Beans I said no thanks. But I will say that as a Latino this place took me home in a bowl. The beans were just like my wife makes, accept it's a different bean. The shredded beef had some much of that hispanic flavor I love so much. The beef was super tender and the plantains were fried to perfection. Now I know this is an Arepa bar and I should have had an Arepa but I am not a fan of Arepa's. It's a texture thing for me, but I love the items that go inside of them. As for my co-worker, He had two Arepas and a sugarcane lemonade drink and a cheese stick. He loved every bite! So Arepas are a must buy here along with a rice bowl like I had. Side note: you got to try their sauces! Their hot sauce is called Picante and is made with Habanero peppers. Look out for that one it's super hot! The garlic Sauce and the cilantro sauce taste great but the colors will confuse you. I bet when you see the sauces you'll guess the wrong color with the flavor. So to end this long review, I say yes you should stop by the place and have a meal. It's small and there is only one table so you might want to get your order to go.
