While the venue itself proved to be a pleasant setting and the buffet offerings were commendable, I must express significant disappointment with several aspects of the service and operational conduct, which unfortunately detracted from the overall experience. Upon our arrival approximately ten minutes prior to the scheduled setup time, despite initial clearance from security personnel, my party and I were promptly instructed by the owner to vacate the premises. This directive necessitated us waiting outside in uncomfortable weather conditions until explicit permission was subsequently granted for re-entry, which felt unnecessarily rigid and unaccommodating. A significant contractual issue arose concerning the provision of beverages. Our agreement clearly stipulated unlimited water and soda for our guests and vendors. However, our contracted musicians were initially refused water when requested, compelling me to personally intervene and clarify our package details with the staff to ensure these promised amenities were delivered. Furthermore, the release of our security deposit was made contingent upon our musical entertainment fully vacating the parking lot. This condition was neither communicated to us in advance nor appears to be standard practice, causing undue delay and confusion. I also encountered unwarranted delays in retrieving personal items, specifically alcoholic beverages that I had purchased for the event. These items were withheld until the owner's explicit approval, even after the event had concluded and all guests had departed. Similarly, leftover food, which was part of our paid catering, was unfortunately not provided to us at the conclusion of the event, contrary to our expectations. The most distressing incident occurred during the final stages of cleanup and departure. While I was managing my infant and coordinating the loading of personal belongings into my vehicle, with the assistance of my parents, the owner specifically instructed that they leave the premises. This directive was explicitly linked to the prerequisite for receiving our deposit refund. If they did not wait outside, I was not going to receive my refund. This demand was not only unaccommodating and lacking in empathy given my circumstances but also created an incredibly stressful and uncomfortable environment during what should have been a straightforward conclusion to our event. In summary, despite the positive aspects of the venue and catering, the numerous operational issues and, most notably, the owner's conduct, significantly overshadowed the celebratory nature of our event. These shortcomings left a lasting impression of unprofessionalism and a disregard for client comfort and contractual agreements. I sincerely hope this detailed feedback will be considered for immediate review and future operational improvements.
