The work area looked well-organized. Before even talking to someone, I was already impressed. I got a flat tire that was badly damaged and could not be repaired. Unfortunately, they had to order the tire, saying that it would come no later than 1:30 pm the next day. They called exactly when it arrived. When we arrived five minutes later, they had already put the new tire on the rim and had the tire on my car a few minutes later. This was especially good because I had to drive my friend to the airport right after that, so we were relieved that they handled everything so smoothly. Everyone was professional, courteous, and nice. This should be a six-star rating, really. This is a very well-run shop. Strongly recommended. And yes, we made it to the airport on time.

A friend and I were taking a day trip out to Slab City and we got stranded in the middle of nowhere…read morein desert temperatures. We called Gonzalez Auto Repair, and they were a hundred times more helpful than my first call to my actual insurance company (who wouldn't give me roadside assistance and would only supply a tow truck that I would have had to pay out of pocket for -- to make it back to LA would have been way too expensive). We were a solid thirty miles from any town and the guys at Gonzalez provided me with tips and a number to call their partnered towing company (it's all run by the same family) who came as quickly as possible and towed us back to Brawley in no time. They stayed open for us and diagnosed our car (a rental) with a broken radiator and helped me deal with my rental company in terms of payment and a plan of action to figure out the cheapest option. We couldn't get it fixed until the next morning since we needed a part replacement, but one of the guys gave us great info about the cheapest hotel rates, restaurants, entertainment, etc. He called us a cab to take us to the hotel and picked us up the next morning, too. Repair was done on time, with no trouble. They have wonderful customer service and everyone who works there is incredibly friendly. If I ever get stranded in the California desert again, this is the place I'll call!
