I pulled over to the nearest place to park. I am not knowledgeable about many car issues/troubles. I discovered that the Auto Zone was within walking distance. My plan was to add coolant (after the engine cooled down) and see if that helped with the issue my car was having. The gal behind the counter was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. After I explained my situation she let me know that the problem could be more than just adding coolant and expressed concern if my car would even make it all the way to Portland. We discussed the possibility of me calling AAA and she offered for me to sit in a chair (she got from behind the service counter), with air conditioning, while I sorted out what I was going to do. This was a blessing as I have a serious health condition and going back into the heat to sort it out I feared would not produce a good outcome. I found out the gal that helped me, Zoe, is the store manager. Rightly so! Thanks Zoe! Great customer service, knowledgeable, and compassionate! Zoe you are awesome!!!

They often only need a general description or a part number along with what vehicle you're putting the part in and they can at the least point you in the right direction to help you get the part if they don't have it. They also usually have the parts in stock and can order it if they don't have it. I've noticed that even though a lot of the prices are higher than autozones, the quality of the products they offer are typically higher, with better alloys or better quality plastics used to build the products. The service and the employee knowledge makes up for the higher prices, I consider that a fair trade off.
