My review is almost two years late but I just found their business card and realized I need to do a review. So I was on a road trip from Phoenix, AZ to Seattle. Things were going smooth until we turned onto a freeway entrance and the axel of our car snapped and we were unable to move. First of all, the people of canyonville are amazing. Long story short, towing company recommended Bill's since they were the only ones near and open (it was around 6pm) We get to Bill's and they're so friendly. Quoted us an extremely affordable price and told us it'd be done by noon the next morning. Perfect! Doesn't stop there; since we are from out of town and have our cat with us, they personally drive us in one of their trucks to a near motel that accepts pets. We get in for the night, next morning we walk back to Bill's and the car is ready to go and it's 10am! All I can say is if I wanted my car to break down, this was the most ideal and smoothest situation ever and that is a huge thanks to Bill and his staff and also the people of canyonville. Our last drive to the Oregon Coast, our camper blew its wheel bearing coming down the mountain into Ashland Oregon. Its Friday. 4.45pm. We are limping down real slow, smoke coming out. I see Bill's Tire, Towing and Automotive in Canyonville OR out the corner of my eye. Take the exit and go in. Bills wife tells me they are closing and may not be able to get to us until Monday but let me check with him. She goes and gets Bill and he looks at us and says "I wont let this ruin your trip to Coos Bay". Back her in. Over the next 4 hours, Bill and his son got to it and mcgivered us back on the road from parts they cobbled up. He was determined to get us to Coos Bay and not have us sleep in his lot until Monday. I have several things to say about this store. Yes they helped me in my moment of need, just to find out they stabbed me in the back. I had an engine swap done with them and they charged me three grand. They did not put in all the bolts necessary. I am currently without car due to their lack of honesty. Driving under 15 miles an hour a bolt that mounts my Transmission to my engine snapped. Due to this it leads me to discover my transmission is now currently held in by one singular mounted bolt. For almost a year now my cars transmission and engine were being held together by only two bolts instead of four, on top of that several bolts mounting the engine to the car and transmission were missing as well, leading to transmission problems, oil leaks, and now missing work. I am beyond disappointed they would allow someone to leave their store knowing their customers vehicles is under this condition considering the seriousness of the outcomes. Ps. I had it checked by Les Schwab after the bolt snapped and I had to sign a waiver to be able to leave with my car due to the critical condition of the lack of bolts. read more

Our truck batteries died while we were camping in Canyonville on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The owner (who also owns Riddle Towing) came right out. He jumped our batteries and had us follow him to his shop where he replaced our batteries. He also gave us a reasonable price. On July 2, 2024 we broke down on a hot afternoon in Canyonville. We called AAA and Bill's Towing was there in minutes. After the initial contact and not being able to jump start the truck, they dispatched two trucks to our location. They towed our truck to their shop and our 5th wheel to a nearby RV park. Mark the driver was totally professional and patient being careful not to damage either the truck or the trailer. Within a few hours after the tow their shop called us with their diagnosis and estimated repair time. They completed the repair and delivered our truck to our site in the park. It was running and the problem fixed. They were great to work with and honest about the repairs. A great service trust them helped me out when I was broken down came in the middle of the night

$100 tow bill for them to tow to their yard 0.2 miles away. The lady answering phones doesn't have great customer service skills just "thank you for calling bills towing please hold" then slams you on hole before you can get a word in otherwise. Oh and I forgot to mention that's after they charged the church my stolen car was abandoned at also. Most unfortunately as we were traveling through Oregon in late June, 2003 we had a serpentine belt/mechanical issue with our Mercedes Sprinter RV and, after calling AAA, Bill was assigned and came to our rescue in as timely manner as possible for a long haul to a dealership. He presented as MOST knowledgeable, professional, personable, and client-focused. He made us feel as comfortable and secure as possible during the ordeal. Ok so I was on my way back home from Seattle. I somehow got a nail in my front driver side tire that was, sadly for me, unrepairable, by my own evaluation. I called this place up and they were closed because well duh it was a Sunday and most tire shops are closed. BUT!! They came and took a look at my tire anyways at the shop. Had our truck towed in from side if I-5 due to check engine light coming back on after replacing a part and losing power. We got there right at closing. They said they would check it out in the morning. We let them know we were just visiting the area. Talked to them in the morning and were told that they cleared the codes which reset the part and all was good. They checked it again on an hour and still good. Go the text town north to Les Schwab in Myrtle Creek. Shit, that was the advice they gave us!!! Fuckin wouldn't sell us a used tire so that we could drive 15 miles to get to the bigger (and more professional) tire shop that had what we needed. After paying $155 to get towed to this shop because one front tire blew out and the other front one was stripped and gonna go soon these fuckers said nope, we're not going to sell you a used tire because if you go over 40 mph it will blow out and we don't want to be liable! Guy says, "and ya know Jags tend to drive faster then that," and laughs (almost at me). Like i'm a fucking idiot. You know what they did do? Told us to get back on Interstate 5 and drive the 15 miles to Les Schawb on a spare and a stripped tire because they can better service us there. You know what happened? Before we got there the other tire popped. CAN I HOLD YOU LIABLE FOR THAT?!?! If the motherfuckers would have sold us the used tire they had we could have got to the other tire shop before it closed. Instead, we had to call another tow and sit stranded on the road for an additional 2 hrs. By which time Les Schawb was closed and we had to spend the night in Myrtle Creek. I hope to god no one else has to bare the wrath of Bill's Bullshit Tires like we did. read more

A huge shout out to this business! My family was driving from Grants Pass to Portland when the alternator in our suburban went out. Luckily we were able to coast into Canyonville where a local resident referred us to this automotive shop. Honestly we were a little desperate with a six month old baby stuck in freezing cold rain. We were the perfect customer to run up a bill since we were trapped and needed to get home. Instead mechanic Ralph took great care of us, dropped everything and changed out the broken alternator within an hour at 1/2 the price we expected. Can't say enough good things about Bill's Tire. We had a major blow out on our 5th wheel. Once AAA dispatched them our guy was there in 15 minutes. Guided us to a safe area off the interstate and quickly got to work. He explained what he needed to do and probably why it happened. We needed a new tire to replace the spare he had just put on. He suggested their garage. We were guided there and 20 minutes later drove off with a new tire mounted, the spare back in storage and the dead tire disposed of. The price was shockingly reasonable. Called Bill's Tire Towing & Auto to tow a vehicle off my parents property. I needed to help my aunt financially and get the eye soar towed away. Bill was kind enough to allow the charge from out of town as long as he spoke to both parties involved with the vehicle. Bill was contacted by my aunt and he was there the next morning to pick up the vehicle and towed it over an hour away. The customer service was beyond helpful and I was grateful for their services. My wheel was making a horrible loud screeching noise. He checked it out and we were back on the road in no time. The problem turned out to be very minor (though it didn't sound like it). He loaded us up in a jiffy, and didn't think twice about finding a restroom for my wife along the way. I paid almost $400 for the trip out of my own pocket and IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY! I don't know where to start....Bill is outstanding, I broke down 7miles south of Canyonville in the hot sun with my 2 dogs, I was so freaked...I was able to putt to a hotel in Canyonville and in the morning I headed to Napa auto parts and per their recommendation and the other reviews I read I ended up at Bill's. Right away he was diagnosing my issue without question and very sympathetic to my situation...I had an ignition coil and spark plug blow out of my cylinder and I thought my car was gone because I would have to change the head. Bill was able to find a repair kit and get a spark plug into the cylinder and he essentially saved my car for under $200. On our way to California, we were unable to pull the (not even) 2,000 foot Canyon Creek Pass on our 1990 Dodge Ram Van w/a 33' travel trailer. After calling our roadside assistance, Bill and another driver arrived within the hour and got both the van to their shop & our trailer to the casino rv park. They did this for us TWICE!!! Never did they try to sell us parts or services we didn't need (or maybe did, but it wouldn't have mattered). On July 18, 2013 I was driving my ford cargo van and a small trailer on vacation gold prospecting in southern Oregon, I came to a big hill just passed Canyonville on I 5 about 30 miles from Grants Pass. All of sudden I noticed smoke out the back and the truck slowing down, I almost mad it to the top. the engine sounded fine but no tranny. I called AAA I had AAA plus, it was about 3:30 pm they said they would have someone there to tow me soon. the tow truck got there around 5:00 pm. the driver was nice got me hooked up and towed me to his bosses shop so he could remove my driveline. we got there after 6:00pm. the mechanic was having trouble removing the driveline. said he could not do it. the owner shows up at 7:00pm says he is not going to tow me because triple A doesn't pay him enough to tow me to Eugene. He says AAA dose not cover box vans or small trailers. He parks me truck across the street on the Hwy shoulder unhooks me and leaves me No Water no nothing. He was a total jerk. I just paid my AAA plus $171.00 the week earlier to be covered for this. I am a 100% disabled Vietnam vet with several heath issues. I had my 4 English bull dogs with me and a cockatoo, one English bulldog was overheating so bad he was foaming at the mouth and noise badly I didn't think he was going to make it. the owner watched me from across the street smiling and joking and pointing while I was trying to save my dog. I was on the phone with AAA from 6:30pm to 1.00am trying to get Them to tow me. They told me on page 14 part way down there was a small paragraph that said they will not tow box van or utility trailers unless there is a motorcycle in it. I said what booklet? The one we sent you when you first sign up. I said are you kidding 15 years ago. you have taken my $171.00 for 15 years and now your going to let me down when I need you!! Anyway 6:30pm to 1:00am to get them to OK the Tow on the side of a highway w/4 dogs. they called back and said the tow truck will not tow me with the driveline hooked up and I needed to change the right rear trailer tire? (there was 70% tread on it...)I said I would do it in the dark if it meant me getting out of there. did it in about 45 min. both. With the tools I had with me. Bill's towing should not be a AAA tow Service. Vary Rude, Non Caring. There driver could not apologize enough for the rude behavior of their owner. If your a AAA member you should e mail them first describe what you'll be doing have them e mail you back so you have it in Writing. They don't cover a lot of dirt roads ether (by the way) AAA should give a booklet each time you pay your yearly fee. That not to unreasonable is it?? read more

I am a military man and was moving from WA to CA. My storage trailer had sat for 8 months and the tires were in bad shape. I had my mazda 929 towed by myrtle police last week and didn't have the papers for it So I went to bills to get my clothes and back-pack out and he says why don't you just pay for the towing so I said OK then he says the police have to sign this release paper So I went to the cops and they told me he can do whatever He feels like doing..
