    Breakfast sandwich with hash browns

After a morning of surfing this place was the perfect stop. Everything is vegan ! We had the breakfast sandwiches with Tofino Kombucha. The service was fast and friendly and the food was amazing !

Don't go here because everything is vegan; eat here because everything is delicious af. No compromise vegan food. It's just really, really good food. In fact, forget I said anything about it being vegan. Fabulous food -- explanation mark. I had the black bean burger. A little bit crumbly, but still held together nicely. My wife thought it was a bit spicy because of the jalapeños in it, but she's a wimp with heat. Personally, I thought it could have used a little something more, another texture or something salty or sour. But regardless, overall, a good, tasty sandwich. Goldilocks bun -- not too soft, not too chewy. I'm not a fan of kale, so I didn't enjoy the salad. But my wife loved it. If this review was just the sandwich, I'd give it 3.75 stars. But the benny... 7.25 stars. Smooth, creamy sauce. Firm but easy to cut and chew muffin. Tangy. Creamy. Soft tofu that doesn't look, feel or taste like the boring styrofoam we typically tolerate. It's a vegan benny without compromise. It's not trying too hard to replicate a traditional benny. It's like a reinvented benny. Eat it. You'll love it. We had the Caesar salad a side. The fakon and dressing are epic. Honestly, better than a traditional Caesar. Lighter, less greasy, more flavour, doesn't overpower the lettuce. "Shove it in my mouth. I'm living under the table now to eat the scraps that people spill." -- that's my wife's contribution to this review. We finished off with some sort of chocolate mousse cake on cookie crust. Smooth, no grit, creamy, not heavy. Possibly the best vegan mousse I've ever had. Possibly the best mousse I've ever had. Recommend 110%.

This vegetarian restaurant offers your classic North American fare, with some cultural twists. They have Greek, Hawaiian, Korean, and Mexican on their menu (at least)! You can order a variety of appetizers, bowls, wraps, burgers, and drinks. We ordered the Bravo burger with a side of corn - I'm underwhelmed that the burger doesn't automatically come with a basic side at $15? We also got 2 wraps, the korrito (a Korean inspired burrito with kimchi, jackfruit, mango, and rice) and a Greek wrap (classic wrap). The korrito wasn't as spicy as I expected something Korean inspired to be, but I really liked how they integrated jackfruit and mango into the wrap. Atmosphere and service are good. The interior deco is industrial with metal stools and wooden tables. They also have a few board games (battleship and maybe scrabble)! Overall I think it's great to have diverse dining options in a small town like Tofino. Would definitely recommend to my vegan friends, you could probably dine here multiple times on a trip and not get tired of it!

I had it as a takeout with the Kelp Stout from the Torrino brewing co.

I had the Cowgirl burger with a kale caesar salad on the side. It comes on a pretzel bun with a giant onion ring, tomato and one of the best dill pickles I've ever had. Absolutely Delicious!

Best vegan / vegetarian restaurant I've been so far! The food was really really good, the staff was friendly and supportive! We had a vegetarian burger and a cauliflower steak and it was perfect. Also had a cheesecake afterwards and it was so yummy

They have the "Please wait to be seated" sign, but they let me choose where I wanted to sit, and when I realized that the table I chose outside was putting me right in the hot sun, they were cool with me moving inside. I had "Lyndsay's plant pizza" (the cheeseless vegan pizza) and a tiramisu. The veggie pizza was loaded with toppings and the vegetables they chose worked harmoniously together, except the kale tasted a little raw. I didn't miss the cheese. I cannot overstate how good the crust was! There were a few spots with a bit too much char, but even with that, the texture of this crust was heavenly. The tiramisu was also fantastic. It was served as two jumbo ladyfingers doused in cream. Again, textures here were great - the ladyfingers were soft but not soggy, and the cream was velvety smooth. The bitter coffee in the ladyfingers perfectly complemented and balanced out the sweet cream topping. I was a little surprised by the high prices. I ended up spending about $50 for a meal for one after tip! Kind of a small place, but the laid back atmosphere felt homely. It would be nice if they had real glasses for water and a plate for the tiramisu instead of paper. Not quite a 5 star, but a very enthusiastic 4 stars from me. I could rave about that pizza crust.

Pros: - cute decor with huge windows to take in the ocean-mountain view - friendly staff - parking lot right next to the restaurant with a couple spots for patrons with 2hr max - super thin crust and pie came out piping hot - pizza toppings are very fresh with plenty of it Notes: - We were there for approx. an hour (approx. wait for the pizza was about 20-25 minutes) and the server came over with the bill. We still had half a beer to enjoy. The server was chatty and friendly, but I really would have rather not received the bill unprompted. Mind you, there were a few tables opens directly next to us. - The garlic dipping sauce was $4/unit and it was slightly congealed on the top. It comes in really small takeaway container. For the cost, it doesn't feel like the best quality and portion size, especially for a dine-in experience. - The Romano came with plenty of capers and olives, which made it on the saltier side and not as balanced with the flavor profile - the cost for the pizzas was also pretty expensive compared to what we were used to in Vancouver, about 30% more

The entire place felt elevated but cozy - our table was upstairs under beautiful wooden beams and big windows overlooking the town. The vibe was lively but not too loud on a Tuesday evening. No big deal since we weren't in a rush but something to note that it could be hit or miss. The food, on the other hand, was 100% on point. We ordered the potato crusted oyster appetizer and I was blown away - innovative and delicious. For my main, I got the halibut in a curry sauce that was just perfection. My friends tried the sea board, seaweed salad, and scallop gratin, and loved all of it. This meal was a highlight of our vacation.

The shrimp carbonara take on the dish is served with udon noodles, shrimp, smoked black cod, butternut squash and topped with soft egg in a miso butter, garlic, chili, and parmesan sauce. In general the food was great and the staff was friendly (one barista that I dealt with was not very enthusiastic but they seemed like they were just really tired). The setting is beautiful! There's ample patio seating, and whether you sit inside or outside you get a beautiful view of the water. Curried cauliflower handpie: A fantastic savoury handpie with a flaky crust and a flavourful vegetarian filling. Some handpies are kind of flat with not a lot of filling but that was not the case here. It came with a mango chutney for dipping. Chocolate quinoa cake (GF): When I was choosing a dessert when I went here for lunch, I felt like I should get pie, but this cake looked so good and I did not regret trying it. Really fudgy and rich. Fantastic cake that definitely did not suffer from being made gluten free. If anything, the texture was better than a regular cake. Lemon buttermilk pie: This was the only thing I tried that I didn't like. I wanted to try this one because it seemed unique, as I don't think I've tried a custardy lemon pie before, but it was too sweet for me. The texture was lovely and the little pops of brightness from the berries were nice, but it was kind of hard to get through. Vegan breakfast cookie: Good but basic breakfast cookie with oats, seeds, and cranberries, held together by what tasted like peanut or maybe almond butter. I liked the texture - I'm not sure exactly what it was about it, but it tasted fresher than a lot of breakfast cookies I've tried. Chai latte: Good - I saw them making it, and they use a packaged but good chai concentrate, from Say When. It makes a strong, spicy chai latte that's not too sweet. Tea: They have Mighty Leaf tea which I think is pretty good. I got the green dragon tea here.
