I had an incident earlier this year when someone literally hacked (and destroyed!!) my hair, so I knew I didn't want just ANYBODY cutting my hair. I remembered that my bf loooooves how Jessica does his hair, so I called and arranged for her to see me at tease. I explained to her what i wanted (a minimum of 8" off to donate, no razors, and a new color) and showed her pictures. She was realistic with me and told me which colors would work for me (given my previous history of hair color). We settled on a cut, and Jessica went to work!! She was so meticulous with her work. In addition to her attention to detail and skills, I am so grateful for her patience, especially as I kept interrupting her to request more hair be donated, to fix one side, etc. I LOVE the way my hair came out!!! I immediately left tease and sat in my car for 5 mins to text everybody close to me pix of my hair. I've received so many compliments on my short hair, and it's only been short for 10 hours! Jessica revived my dead, ratchet, sorry looking hair; helped me give to those who can't grow hair; and got me summer ready!! I wish it didn't take me 4 years to realize she cuts women's hair just as well as men's hair!! If you need your hair done, call Tease and request for "Jessica from Trim" (that's what I did). I love my hair and can't wait to go out in public again tomorrow so everybody can see it hahaha.

I was desperate to not look like cousin it from the Adam's family, so I got to work finding a different salon to get me where I needed to go. After some research, I found Ruby and Clover on the internet and booked an appointment with a stylist. I didn't want anything fancy, just a good old fashioned wash and a cut. I did most of it online which was rather easy. My mom tagged along since she's on a non committal world tour of every salon in a 20 mile radius. She's fussy and wants stuff to be more old school where they wait on you instead of cut your hair and shove you out the back door after you pay. So, when I say she liked it here as well, that's kind of a big deal! We got to the salon and it looks like an old house from the road. Walking in, the place is decorated so nicely and they have a little boutique in the front of the salon. They have the usual hair products, but they also have local Rochester items such as hand soap, candles, gifts, wigs and a bunch of other cool stuff for sale as well. I like that the salon supports the local community! While my wash and cut wasn't cheap ($49 plus tip) I really enjoyed my experience here. Alexis was my stylist and did a good job of taking care of me. I loved it so much that I made a second appointment to get a leave in conditioner treatment a week later! My mom also booked a quick haircut with her as well and we both had a really good time. Overall it was a wonderful experience and while it's at the top of my price range, I'd gladly come back here again.

What an adorable and great place for all your hair needs!…read more I needed a blowout and style and was happy to find Ruby and Clover. I booked online which was easy. The place is on Main Street, but a little north of the central hub of downtown, which was nice! Parking was a breeze because they have their own private parking lot. No messing with parking meters. The main entrance is their back door, which is where the parking lot is. Inside is absolutely adorable! The perfect blend of modern updates with a historic charm. The lobby featured awesome gifts, and other products to check out. Met with Olivia and she was a peach! Took the time to talk about my hair needs and wants for the appointment. Olivia made me feel comfortable since she was so friendly! She took her time to make sure my blowout and style was just perfect. I have thick hair and a lot of it, so my blow dry with style/curls was $40. There is a fee for using credit card. So cash or check are preferred.

I was wary but desperate for a new haircut. The hairstylist took note of my curly hair and he did such a great job!
