What an adorable and great place for all your hair needs! I needed a blowout and style and was happy to find Ruby and Clover. I booked online which was easy. The place is on Main Street, but a little north of the central hub of downtown, which was nice! Parking was a breeze because they have their own private parking lot. No messing with parking meters. The main entrance is their back door, which is where the parking lot is. Inside is absolutely adorable! The perfect blend of modern updates with a historic charm. The lobby featured awesome gifts, and other products to check out. Met with Olivia and she was a peach! Took the time to talk about my hair needs and wants for the appointment. Olivia made me feel comfortable since she was so friendly! She took her time to make sure my blowout and style was just perfect. I have thick hair and a lot of it, so my blow dry with style/curls was $40. There is a fee for using credit card. So cash or check are preferred. read more

As usual, I needed a haircut like two weeks ago and waited to long and my normal hair stylist was booked until the week of Thanksgiving. I was desperate to not look like cousin it from the Adam's family, so I got to work finding a different salon to get me where I needed to go. After some research, I found Ruby and Clover on the internet and booked an appointment with a stylist. I didn't want anything fancy, just a good old fashioned wash and a cut. I did most of it online which was rather easy. My mom tagged along since she's on a non committal world tour of every salon in a 20 mile radius. She's fussy and wants stuff to be more old school where they wait on you instead of cut your hair and shove you out the back door after you pay. So, when I say she liked it here as well, that's kind of a big deal! We got to the salon and it looks like an old house from the road. Walking in, the place is decorated so nicely and they have a little boutique in the front of the salon. They have the usual hair products, but they also have local Rochester items such as hand soap, candles, gifts, wigs and a bunch of other cool stuff for sale as well. I like that the salon supports the local community! While my wash and cut wasn't cheap ($49 plus tip) I really enjoyed my experience here. Alexis was my stylist and did a good job of taking care of me. I loved it so much that I made a second appointment to get a leave in conditioner treatment a week later! My mom also booked a quick haircut with her as well and we both had a really good time. Overall it was a wonderful experience and while it's at the top of my price range, I'd gladly come back here again. read more

I made an appointment with Ricki Ramos for a cut and color. Before I begin, I want to make it clear I never get highlights. I always go dark all over. Nice location and environment. The stylist I had didn't hear me. The cut she gave me was fine, but it wasn't what I asked for. As time went on, my hair got shorter and shorter. I grew it out twice and still ended up with short hair. Sides were always longer than the back. read more
