I brought my 16-year-old daughter here for a haircut. My daughter is super picky and hard to please (Lord save me). Meghan was amazing. She spent so much time asking her questions and making sure she knew exactly what she wanted. The cut was amazing and my daughter was very happy!!! This doesn't happen very often! Megan is the best stylist I have ever went to! I recently saw her for a keratin treatment and she really knows her profession. She was a great conversationalist and we got along right away. I was treated like a queen. I had nice hot coffee on a Saturday morning and got to relax in a nice unpretentious atmosphere. The salon is cute and cozy. Stephanie is awesome! My hair was extremely damaged due to a bad dye job from another salon. It was dry, frizzy and lifeless. Even though I get my hair dyed every 3-4 weeks to cover up those grays, Stephanie's dye is nourishing. My frizzy hair was way better after the first visit and the frizz was gone after the second visit! read more

Horrible horrible horrible !! I asked for a specific cut! Stephanie the owner, couldn't follow directions I asked for long layers in the back and short layers in the front nothing more or less.. she started to thin out my hair out of no where I never asked for my hair to thinned out and I have very thick hair and she thinned it out without my knowledge and advised me it comes with the hair cut!! I also got the deal of Groupon no bueno!!! I had my appointment at 1 pm today I was not even acknowledged till 1:25 pm!! My hair will grow so Stephanie you can go back to school and learn how to cut and listen to ppl wants and needs!! She literally cut washed and treated my hair in less than 30 min!!! I decided to try salon lily after seeing a groupon deal. I was very excited to go somewhere nicer than the beauty school I was used to. Turning 25 I wanted to start investing more into my hair care. Overall, I wasn't very happy with my visit. I purchased a groupon for highlights and a cut. I asked for a flattering shade of blonde to match my hair. First I sat around waiting for a good 20-25 minutes for my stylist even though I had made an appointment. My highlights were applied while stylist ate yogurt in the back and spoke with a client about kids for a long time while my hair fried. I figured she knew what she was doing so I did not complain and tried not to worry why she wasn't checking my highlights. Well, the highlights come out pretty much white and no toner was used. The hair cut was going well until a walk-in came in. I could tell the attention on my stylist was long gone and she went from carefully thinning out my hair to turbo brushing, accidentally stabbing my forehead with a stiff brush as she tried to rush me out. The cut was OK, but lacked attention to details...or any kind of attention at the point. The overall service took forever until she had another client walk-in. I just wanted to get out of there. The groupon deal was $69 when I booked and even though it had dropped to $49 when I came in I was still charged $69, which I guess fair is fair. But it wasn't very friendly, esp. after the choppy service I had. Won't be coming back. read more

To Whom It May Concern This new establishment is a plus for the city of Troy. Excellent service and the staff are mature, friendly and extremely professional. When I set my first appointment with Stephanie, I let her know exactly what I was looking for in a salon; she exceeded my expectations. So after being pleased with my first experience with having my hair dyed and cut, I decided to go ahead and set an appointment to have my nails done with Paulina. My nails were horrendous because I spend a majority of my time redoing furniture and cleaning. I was very impressed when Paulina was finished. So, I decided my next appointment I would have a pedicure and manicure done. Wow, what a relaxing experience; love the massage chair. I have been equally impressed with the other girls on staff and their talent as well. This is from my observations from their finished work on other clients. If you want excellent service, outstanding atmosphere at a fair price this is the salon to go too. After I read all the good reviews, I decided to give this place a shot. I got to the salon at the appt time when my stylist told me I need to wait for a couple mins. I saw she was working on another client's hair. After 20 minutes, one girl came to me and washed my hair. Then my stylist which I had appt with start to do the dry blow which was the only service I needed. As soon as she started to dry my hair, she stopped and went to the client who she was working on( other stylists were working on that client's hair too) she said something and then came back continue to blow dry my hair. After another 2 mins, phone rang and somebody came in at the reception desk. She of course went to the front deal with whatever, then come back to me. Another 2 minutes passed. She went to the previous client, and the girl who washed my hair came to blow dry my hair. Until my stylist came back, this girl was drying my hair for one minute and doing something on her cell phone for another minute. So my stylist finally came back and finished her job on me. I spent an hour there when really I only need half an hour. I understood that salon can be very busy sometimes, but customer service is very important too. I was very unhappy that she did not put all her time and effort on me, whom had an appt with. The result ? My blow dry was just okay, which I don't see that's an impressive professional work. ( of course, with all the stop and go, switch staff.) I don't think I'm going back there anyone. Very disappointed! read more
