It's well established that I am a Braums lover. We usually just have a frozen yogurt and a cherry limeade. But today we got a little snack too...a #1. Cheeseburger and fries. I can only assume Braums cares as much about their cow meat as they do about their cow milk. Crinkle fries here, the best IMHO. The only thing a little strange about this location is that there is a line for g food and a separate line for ice cream. Service was great as usual. read more

I had not been to a Braum's in over 50 years and this recent visit brought back great memories of when I used to visit my grandmother in Oklahoma and it was always a treat to enjoy a lite snack at Braum's. After my nephew and niece met me at the Dallas train station, they wanted to grab a quick snack and we ended up at Braum's. It was like going back into time. I ordered the Double 1/4 pound cheeseburger with fries and had a choice of soda or shake so I ordered a chocolate shake. I was hoping for a Braum's here in Austin, TX but unfortunately Braum's does not have any locations in Austin guess I'll have to venture to Dallas or Oklahoma for another Braum's nostalgic experience. read more

Braums in Lewisville is way too small and always overcrowded. The staff clearly can't keep up, and it feels like they don't have time to pay attention to customers. Long waits, cramped space, and a chaotic environment make it really frustrating just to get served. Definitely not worth it if you're in a hurry or want any sort of decent service. read more

I'm not sure what was going on but 4 employees were outside of the building while 1 pooor employee was inside trying to help 10 customers across all of their operations. One employee returned inside and the rest stayed outside. Kind of sad that they didn't recognize on their own that they were letting the clientele down. Doubt chick fil a would do this. read more

Came for lunch with my coworker we both got our combos with shakes and both of our shakes were bad. It tasted as if the milk was expired, a strong rancid sour taste. I got birthday cake with cookies and cream and he got chocolate with strawberry. Other than that my chicken sandwich was good. read more

It must be hard to find people who listen to customers. I had to stand in line and give instructions on what Ice Cream I wanted 4 times before she was able to get it right. And then the young lady got very angry, like it was my mistake that she couldn't get it right, even to the point she slammed the cups down on the counter in front of me when she finally got it right, What a shame. read more

To Braum's Corporate Office I have a customer complaint about Store #89 on 5/23/2020 at 8:20pm. The manager on duty at the time was rude and unprofessional. There is a video camera in that store. If you review the video I'm certain that you can witness it for yourself. Items of Complaint -------- 1) Absolute worst customer service for 2020. The manager yelled at me as soon as I entered the store because I wasn't social distancing from another family member whose in my home. There were other customers who were not socially distancing (as you can review in video) but for some reason I was singled out. 2) The manager did not honor the $5 gift card that was to be given when an employee forgets to give a cash receipt to the customer. I followed the instructions which were to contact the manager to receive the gift card. She publicly berated me for no reason in the presence of her employees and other customers. I was cordial and I did nothing to provoke such behavior. Then realizing that she was in the wrong she instructed her employees to give out receipts whether customers asked for them or not. All I requested was the $5 gift card according to the sign that was clearly displayed at their cash register desk. This behavior is not becoming of a Braum's employee, but even more unbecoming of a manager of a Braum's store. I still seek my $5 gift card because the Braum's policy was not honored. The Women who run the place? Yes, it's usually women and they are the loveliest. Not one of my favorite Braum's locations as the building is older, smaller, and does not offer a drive thru, however I've never had a problem with the service or food. My favorite deal is the $2 double dip cone, which translates into two HUGE scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone! Favorite flavors are birthday cake, cookies and cream, and butter pecan, but honestly anything you choose will be good. Okay service, but food is very reasonable, and ice cream is delicious. read more

We visited Braum's today April 20 2019 and was a little surprised to find the restaurant was in need of some serious cleaning. The floors were extremely sticky,and the table seemed to have not been cleaned in some time. There also appeared to be some type of water leak coming through the wall. Very let down on this location. I am worried that the owners dont know this location really needs a lot of work done. I am concerned that the lack of cleaning might cause people to get sick. Please address this issue as soon as possible. Other alternative would be use the Braum's in Flower Mound until this location has been cleaned and updated. read more

With this location being on the way home, I stop by from time to time if I am craving some ice cream. The location is convenient, but feels as if I am stepping back in time. There is no drive-thru, which seems a bit odd as all the other locations that I am familiar with in the area have them. Of course, the cost associated with placing one there would be quite prohibitive. Inside, it appears that no updates have been made since the mid 80's. The main reason to stop at Braum's is to enjoy a cone, shake, or sundae. The ice cream is great...and quite affordable. I would, however ask that consideration be given to closing the ice cream case against the wall. The chocolate ice cream is always a bit soft due to the lid being open most of the time. read more

The food at this location is consistent with the other Braum's locations. For Braum's being a fast food joint I rank the chain in my top 3 of best burgers. However, at times they do tend to close the Kitchen down before closing hours. I understand it can be frustrating when a customer comes in 20 minutes before closing to order food (I've worked fast food before) but at the end of the day there are hours of operation listed for a reason. So my best advice is to not make this a last minute drive if this location is near closing time. The lack of a drive-thru is also a hassle when you're wanting to just get your food and go. read more

Great old-school Braum's with the biggest scoops I've ever gotten. Their ice cream rivals Blue Bell and we are lucky we live in a place we can get both. It's cheap too; I'm always amazed how much places like Marble Slab can charge for hiding their sub-par ice cream flavor with "mixin's". I usually find myself in here for groceries, however, as there are no more grocery stores in Old Town. I like how almost everything I need is within an arm's reach and I'm out in about 2 minutes. Their milk alone is worth the visit, it is creamy goodness. Remember also that Braum's only opens stores within 400 miles of the head farm in Tuttle, OK, in order to keep everything fresh. You can definitely tell. It's hard not to enjoy Braum's, especially this one. Homer call 5 stars. read more

Nasty place. I walked into the place yesterday to get an ice cream cone. Evidently it was shift change time and two young employees were coming in for their shift. They were busy and I waited for someone to come to the counter to wait on a couple of customers. I watch the two female employess get ready. One was fixing her hair into a ponytail and the other came in put her apron on and came to the front counter. Now, I would think that if you come in from outside at the very least you should wash you hands before touching or serving food. The fact that she failed to wash I said that I changed my mind on getting anything and walked out. There is NO EXCUSE for not washing your hands when you come to work. Good food. Even better ice cream. This review is more fir the maintenance of the restaurants. Some of your locations really need attention. You have loyal customers that shouldn't have to eat with what appeared to be mold on ceiling tile and vents. I love Braums and always stop to eat there at least 2 times every time we travel to Oklahoma. Someone should make rounds to all your locations to see which ones need to be revamped or just a deep cleaning. Here's hoping for a Braums in the near future in or near Houston. read more

This is one of the saddest looking Braum's locations. They could spend some cash updating. It's right off IH35 but in a dodgy area. There are interesting characters lurking around. We stopped by with my son's family and took two four tops. The burgers were below average compared to McDonald's. The chili was OK. The chicken fingers were edible for the kiddos I guess. I am a braums fan I have been coming here since we had bon fires across from the high school (were the albertsons is)for the homecomming parades when I was a little kid ridding in the back of the coaches pickup down main street Someone told me that it has been here since the early 50s (and it looks like it ) The bathroom is so small , if you are brave enough to try it , you could sit on the toilet close the door, wash your hands ,and dry them without moving People say it needs a remodel , I say it needs a tear down ( so could most of Lewisville ) Yea its old and worn out looking, but I still like it I like to get a # 2 and sub out the soda and pay a little extree and get a vanilla shake , then drive out back and park under the big old trees and eat , listen to the radio Also like to take the family out for scoops , I get a triple My son gets the vanilla soft serve style , he says the scoops dont fill the cone up all the way like the soft serve does read more

Normally, I love Braum's. To be fair, I normally even like this location. Yes, it's a little older and could use a remodel, but their food and ice cream is usually just as good as it is at any other Braum's. The last time I went though, I was really bummed that my food was so bad. I was stuck at work 4 hours later than I was supposed to be, and my mom took that opportunity to text me how much she was enjoying her Braum's burger and chocolate malt (made with vanilla ice cream) for lunch. Thanks ma, I'm starving over here and can't leave. Anyway, as soon as I was off work, I drove like a madwoman to the nearest Braum's... which happened to be this one. I park and go inside. I'm on a mission. I'm craving a burger and a shake. I would KILL for a burger and a shake. But not just any burger and shake, oh no. I'm picky. And I know I'm picky. Since it's a weird time of day, I don't want to get too full, so I order their junior burger (with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, no sauce), with fries and a small chocolate shake made with vanilla ice cream. I'm given my number and I sit down. While I'm waiting for my food, I watch children run around unsupervised. Annoying customers, throwing things. Great job, parents. Anyway, my number is called and I collect my food. Imagine my disappointment when my shake is clearly not made with vanilla ice cream. I hate food-returners, but I had to be one this time. I took my shake to the counter and very politely said, "Hi. I'm sorry, but I asked for a chocolate shake but made with vanilla ice cream. This is made with chocolate ice cream." The guy behind the counter looked at it and said, "no, we made it with vanilla." I smiled and said, "okay." and sat down. It wasn't made with vanilla. I know that I'm insane, but damnit I really hate chocolate ice cream. Especially in my chocolate shake. I can taste it a mile off! So, there's milkshake disappointment. Imagine my further disappointment when I open the burger wrapper to discover that there are bits of char stuck to the burger and it's overcooked past edible. Awesome. I pick off some of the random bits of stuff stuck to the patty and try to douse it in enough ketchup to cover up the burnt flavor. I just can't. It's only a 1/6lb burger and I barely ate half of it. Add to that some cold french fries, and my lunch is just awesome. I did eat all of the cold fries though.. because even stone cold, Braum's fries rock. I was looking forward to Braum's for hours by the time I got here. My sad, burnt-burger, chocolate-ice-cream-shake, and cold-fries did nothing to quell the hunger for anything, let alone a hardcore Braum's craving. Sigh. read more

We were leery to go to this location due to the negative yelp reviews. It is true that this is an older location in need of some TLC and funds for upgrades, but the staff was doing a great job at keeping it clean. Double dip ice cream only $1.99! So I had to get the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and the Butter Pecan. The cookie dough had very little little cookie dough in it, which was very disappointing, but for the price, I couldn't complain. My husband always gets the frozen yogurt "mix" (blend) with butterfinger. He said it was fantastic as always! read more

My husband and I wanted just a shake..you think how could anyone mess up a milkshake. Well I asked for a peppermint shake. Easy enough It was not. It was a combo of peppermint ice cream and something else. It was absolutely horrible. Did I go back in and say something no I did not..this was not the first time Braums was a disappointment..months ago my husband and I went to get shakes. My husband wanted a chocolate shake. And I asked for a peppermint. The clerk behind the counter. Looked and said nope we dont have any..and the clerk didnt say give me a minute let me.go see if we had anymore. It's Braums ice cream so it's good, hence the two stars. However the filth of this location will keep me from coming back. Ceiling fans were caked with dust, grease, and Lord knows what else. Typical braums it was ok inside, it could use a little update makeover. besides that they are still the great braums we know and love for there great treats.
