Service was ok, we ordered drinks after several minutes looking the menu over but staff (various servers) seem irritated that we needed time to decide. It's our first time so give us a break. Hubby ordered the BBQ ribs they were just ok no real flavor other than the sauce on which he thought might be Sweet Baby Ray's from the states. Our friends had the bratwurst & potato with eggs (actual name I don't remember but it was a special for the month of September) both were ok. The bratwurst was the hit of the night with everyone thinking it tasted the best. The potatoes with eggs were ok but serving size was too large for the person who ordered it preferring the size of the potato salad over the meal. The service was apparently during shift change because getting someone over to the table for more drinks was difficult (unless you apparently were at a locals table) so sitting for extra drinks didn't really happen. So we ate our meal & eventually got our check & left. Was it good? Yes. Would we have eaten here again? No

The only option for food are flatbreads/pitas but there is a wide selection of items you can put in it. Almost everyone orders the pitas and I know why after getting one! Very tasty and made fresh. There is a large sitting area inside and a small patio outside. Service is quick and the prices are reasonable for Vienna. We came back a second time because we enjoyed our experience so much the first time we visited during our trip in Vienna!

Actually I can exit my cool apartment building, turn left, and just keep walking straight even when the street changes its name in one block - and arrive at Laurenz in ten minutes. Laurenz looks great - outside & inside. Many clever beer sayings adorn the walls outside and you even find a few funny ones inside. There is a bar and a couple of dining areas. You can eat & drink where you choose. Since they make their own beer here, let's start with that. The beer is great! I had a Vienna Red beer here that tasted fresh and nicely balanced with hops & malt. The soup I ordered was the Beer Cheese Soup which was so good I could have eaten a whole pot of it. I loved how there were still chunks of melted cheese residing in its delicious broth. An Austrian soft pretzel nicely accompanied this offering. My main course was also tremendous. - a delicious pumpkin Flammküchen with Creme Fraiche, caramelized onions, Grana Padano, and Austrian pumpkin seed oil. The crust of this tasty concoction was perfectly baked. Service was most friendly and efficient. Laurenz is a winner! I def will be back .... and also I will bring some of my visitors to Vienna who I know will also enjoy its charms and libations.

Beer styles were very eclectic with American, English, German, and hybrid styles. I had a glass of their helles lager and then pivoted to a special bottle from another regional brewery. Seemed like they were understaffed as the bartender was also the hostess, waitress, and buser. Kudos to her for juggling all those roles. They had gendered restrooms.
Be sure you go to the correct location. There are 2 in Vienna and this one was closed. We headed for the other one with cruise ship friends.

The interior is huge! Definitely a good place for groups (we saw more than one large tourist group having dinner) or families. Though there is a non smoking section, it's really just the back of the room so if the front gets smoky, you're going to smell it. It wasn't a problem at all on our visit. Food wise - it's "ok". My schnitzel was fairly tough as was my husband's zweibelrostbraten. But - this isn't a gourmet place, it's a bier hall and the food is absolutely fine for that. My husband liked their beer and for those who don't like beer, they've got decent house wines at good prices. We ended up dinner with some very smooth schnapps and not too big of a bill. Our waiter was nice and patient with my bad Tourist German, which I always appreciate. I can see this being a really fun place to hang out with a group of friends for some beers and snacks.

I love pairing beer with certain meals and I love a good IPA. We flew back into Wien to catch our flight back to the states and stayed one evening at Brauhof Wien. The concept may be lost on some, but I actually LOVED the fact that everything about this place was based on beer and the brewery. We were hungry when we arrived and while I wasn't planning on dining at the hotel for dinner, it was late and we ended up choosing to eat here. I was very pleasantly surprised. My dinner was fantastic, every aspect of it. I ordered a small IPA, very tasty in my opinion and I can be snobby about my beer. We both ordered the schnitzel, something I've only ever eaten once before in Berlin. It was so yummy!!! I'm the last source in the world to judge a schnitzel since I don't know a good from a bad, or how it's supposed to be but this tasted great to me. The cold potato salad it was paired with was soooooo good. It's a dish that really impressed me and I'd love to recreate at home, the small chives on top were a nice touch and I noticed the kitchen used them on an egg dish the next morning while at breakfast. We also ordered an apple strudel which was the best of the two I'd had in our few days in Vienna. The atmosphere was calm as it was near closing time 10p, but seemed like a fun spot. I'm not positive I'd say go out of your way to come here but everything was very good and service was nice and friendly. If you are staying here, dining here is a nice option if it comes down to it. I was completely satisfied with everything.

We visited on a Sunday evening & it was not busy. We sat in the dining room as there was a chill to the air outside, but we were right next to the window looking out to the garden seating area. Our server was very blunt & to the point not appreciating our questions regarding the menu so we didn't ask too much. We ordered drinks first, followed by the beef soup with vermicelli & veal schnitzel both were tasty according to those that ate them. Hubby has a severe dairy allergy so menu choices were extremely limited according to the menu legend so he had fries & we picked up something elsewhere. It was ok but nothing we would return for during our visit.

Another must-order in Vienna is the Wiener Schnitzel and you can definitely found a good one here as well! Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. We ordered grill tasting platter and frankfurter sausage. All very delicious and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. The only pity I found was, there was no veal schnitzel on the menu, only chicken or pork ones. When I walked out of this place, I found another lovely thing at the door - there is a beer vending machine selling hemp beer, chilly beer, and other types of signature beers of this place, yay!
