    Flight of 6.
    Dang N.

I came mostly for the beer but decided to try a little food. Ordered the 6 flight and the smoked cocoa coffee wings! The wings aren't bad. The beers also weren't bad, solid overall. Nothing I hated, but nothing I really loved. For the dessert I told my waiter I wanted the apple blueberry crisp but instead of the vanilla ice cream I wanted their pear gelato! And I said they could charge me for both but he said it was fine and swapped it out w/o extra charge-that was pretty cool. It's more fruit than crisp but overall wasn't bad. My waiter was super friendly and sitting outside on such a hot day was nice.

    Another BBC! But slightly different.

If you're an expat living in Europe and you visit Vienna, give BBC a try! American style food and beer, it feels a bit like home. My boyfriend got a classic cheeseburger and fries and inhaled it incredibly fast. I couldn't get a picture of it because he would have bitten my hand out, boy was hungry. I got a side of sweet potato fries. They could have been crispier and I was sad they didn't come with any special dipping sauce. A couple of points off for that. We split a flight of beer to try the first 6 beers on the menu. Some were meh, while others were better. I'm normally a fan of IPAs, but I found myself liking the darker beers here. Weird. After our flight, my bf and I both ordered two beers each. The total wasn't horrible, but it was around 35-40 euro. And that was with me not getting a full meal. At first I assumed BBC only hired Americans to work there because I overheard one American accent from a girl, but when I asked, they also hire locals. This is a spot that could get busy on weekends so you may want to call and reserve a table, especially if you have a big group. It was chilly inside the restaurant when I was there in January. Either the heat wasn't working or it wasn't turned up. Even after we moved tables to be next to a heater, I was still a bit cold. Maybe that's their way of getting customers to drink more. Drink yourself a warmth blanket! Overall, a solid brewery and place to grab decent American food in Vienna.

    Jawbreaker, Beer flight back left
    Mark T.

In short... The beer gets five stars The burger gets three I stumbled upon this place while perusing Yelp on an ordinary day, and for some reason, it stuck in my mind. After craving this place for three days straight, I have in and went for it. I ordered the beer flight with their craft beers and the fruity guest beer (six 0.1 liter samples of any of their beers). For food, I got the Jawbreaker burger. Jawbreaker is not a misnomer, you need to open a huge mouth to eat this thing, cut it up with fork and knife, or suffer a broken jaw. There are some burgers which are worth a broken jaw, alas this is not one of them; for it was the bread and not fillings that break your jaw. Still, it was hard to keep the thing together. (They forgot to stick a steak knife in mine to hold everything together) Burgers, like anything else, not only depend on quality ingredients, but also on proportions. As a fellow Yelper mentioned, there is a disproportionately large amount of bread to everything else. It was good that the bun was durable and did not get soaked, but it threw off all the other ingredients. Speaking of bread, the bun was nothing special. As for the other ingredients, the beef was very plain, it could definitely use some more "wow!" even if it is a little bit more salt and pepper (none provided on the tables). Also, if you leave the bread alone, 225 grams may be a better bet. The cheese was melty and gooey, and just the way cheese should be on a burger. Fried onion rings were interesting, instead of solid onion, it was more like shredded fried shredded onion patties. Not bad in itself, but because of the preparation (and amount of bread- again) they get lost. Bacon wasn't even bacon, it was more like bacon shaped ham slices, cooked rare. Vegetables were meager in their amounts (and quite frankly qualities). There was one slice of tomato, a single, large round leaf of lettuce that was not soft, but not exactly crispy either. There were some pickles there, but not enough. As for the jalapeños, there were so few of them, I actually thought they forgot to put them there. Speaking of spicy stuff... there was too little smokey mustard sauce. Additionally, while it went well with fries (better than ketchup!) it didn't taste smoky, or even very much like mustard. The fries were good. Well seasoned (although some pepper would have been nice). However, some were fried a little darker than others, and I found they were overall a little too oily. The beers though... I am not an experienced enough beer drinker to tell you about the beers. All I can say is this... if you like beer in general, it is fully worth going for the flight. The beers they carry are diverse in the flavor, color, aroma, and everything that distinguishes one beer from another. P.S. Old Man Porter was my favorite! Service was really nice! it was kind, attentive, and relatively fast.

A nice little American micro brewery in Vienna. This place is fairly new and I certainly hope that they will succeed. Vienna needs more places like BBC and this place is a great (and desperately needed) addition to a fairly dull local food scene. Here are the details: - Beer flights - great, pick 6 different beers all made in house by their master brewer (they'll give you a tour of the brewing facility if you so desire). - Ribs - foremost, I just want to throw out that these are by far the best ribs I had in Vienna. No other Austrian place comes even close to making ribs this good. These particular ribs are baby back ribs and they come with a tangy bbq sauce on them (Midwestern style). Although you can find better ribs than these in North Carolina, these are 5 stars all the way compared to anything else locally. - Tomato soup - good to very good. Excellent texture but seriously underseasoned. Also, this soup has a slightly higher note of acidity (how about a drop of honey to balance things out). 3.5 stars. - Chicken fingers (they call them stripes) - very good, cooked to a perfect juicyness but slightly underseasoned. 4 stars. - Burgers - a dish so simple yet so hard to rate outside of the US. BBC's burgers are no different. The good is that BBC cooks their burgers to a perfect medium rare. Again, the meat needs to be better seasoned - just more salt and pepper, nothing else. As with many burgers in Austria, the key problem with this burger is an super oversized burger bun. Simply put, too much bread, too little meat. For a bun that size, a burger patty would have to be at least three times larger. The meat-bun ratio is one of the keys to a good burger and for some reason there isn't a single bakery in the whole country that knows how to make a decent burger bun. They also need to work on other burger toppings - how about some grilled onions, or some other good old fashioned American standards. All said and done, probably one of the better burgers in Vienna. 3.5 stars. Also worth mentioning is that the service is very good, friendly and attentive. Bottom line - I look forward to returning to the Beaver Brewing Company.

Pretty darn in love with this place. The burgers are good, the sweet potato fries are good, and the beer is good. The only ONLY thing I would change is that they would serve a "flight" (aka small glasses of the different craft beer they're serving). Otherwise this place is good.

Onion rings and the moon tower bear

Good beer! Came here around 4:30 on a Thursday so not many people in the place. Service was quick. They have many different beer options including ipa, Pilsner, lagers. The food is American style- burgers, fries, bbq, bar food etc. we ordered the onion rings and they were pretty good- came with a sour cream herb dip. I would come back frequently if I lived in Vienna. Good service, food and beer and friendly stAff!

Nice new brewery with good selection of selfmade beer. Good service, fair price, clean interior design.

I liked this place. Good beers, but maybe a bit too American-style for me. Friendly staff, though!

Laurenz looks great - outside & inside. Many clever beer sayings adorn the walls outside and you even find a few funny ones inside. There is a bar and a couple of dining areas. You can eat & drink where you choose. Since they make their own beer here, let's start with that. The beer is great! I had a Vienna Red beer here that tasted fresh and nicely balanced with hops & malt. The soup I ordered was the Beer Cheese Soup which was so good I could have eaten a whole pot of it. I loved how there were still chunks of melted cheese residing in its delicious broth. An Austrian soft pretzel nicely accompanied this offering. My main course was also tremendous. - a delicious pumpkin Flammküchen with Creme Fraiche, caramelized onions, Grana Padano, and Austrian pumpkin seed oil. The crust of this tasty concoction was perfectly baked. Service was most friendly and efficient. Laurenz is a winner! I def will be back .... and also I will bring some of my visitors to Vienna who I know will also enjoy its charms and libations.

I love pairing beer with certain meals and I love a good IPA. We flew back into Wien to catch our flight back to the states and stayed one evening at Brauhof Wien. The concept may be lost on some, but I actually LOVED the fact that everything about this place was based on beer and the brewery. We were hungry when we arrived and while I wasn't planning on dining at the hotel for dinner, it was late and we ended up choosing to eat here. I was very pleasantly surprised. My dinner was fantastic, every aspect of it. I ordered a small IPA, very tasty in my opinion and I can be snobby about my beer. We both ordered the schnitzel, something I've only ever eaten once before in Berlin. It was so yummy!!! I'm the last source in the world to judge a schnitzel since I don't know a good from a bad, or how it's supposed to be but this tasted great to me. The cold potato salad it was paired with was soooooo good. It's a dish that really impressed me and I'd love to recreate at home, the small chives on top were a nice touch and I noticed the kitchen used them on an egg dish the next morning while at breakfast. We also ordered an apple strudel which was the best of the two I'd had in our few days in Vienna. The atmosphere was calm as it was near closing time 10p, but seemed like a fun spot. I'm not positive I'd say go out of your way to come here but everything was very good and service was nice and friendly. If you are staying here, dining here is a nice option if it comes down to it. I was completely satisfied with everything.
