After my screened porch was…read moreinstalled, I initially thought the wrong type of screening had been used and was concerned that I had not received what I contracted for. Brian and his team handled the situation with incredible patience and professionalism. Brian took the time to walk me through everything step by step, clearly showing that every product I had selected was exactly what had been installed. Even so, the team went above and beyond by returning to make a few additional adjustments and refinements, making the project even better than I expected. At no point did I feel dismissed or taken advantage of. Brian was professional, respectful, and committed to making sure I was completely satisfied. That level of integrity speaks volumes. I absolutely love my screened porch and have received many compliments on it. I would confidently recommend The Plantation Room Company and will gladly use them again for future projects. Derek had never done a gate like this before; the quality is sturdy and the value superseded my expectations. The dogs already chewed on it so I'll have to make repairs, repaint it, and paint the toppers. I am very happy with the finished product. Would recommend choosing a more durable wood like Oak or Maple but I didn't know my dogs were part beaver so that's my bad.

I don't know how the other positive reviews came about, because our experience with HMC Contracting…read morewas pretty bad. We had our enclosed patio redone... It took forever, and once we were in the process I couldn't wait till it was over. It felt like the Three Stooges were sent to do the work. The painting had to be redone several times -- their "team" clearly had no idea what they were doing. We had to have them rebuild the door at least twice, because the quality was truly subpar. Six months later, the door is already showing age (see photo). They were careless with the space (inside the patio, and in the surrounding garden). They never cleaned up after themselves. I had to entirely cut back one of the plants behind the patio because it was so badly broken. I'd find nails and debris around outside that I would have to throw away; they brought plastic, but barely covered our patio furniture (so I did that myself); and they broke one of our side tables. Attention to detail was absent -- I've attached photos of just SOME of the trim corners that do not match up -- there are gaps instead. Chad and his son Adam were nice enough, but we were paying for something that should've looked excellent in the end. It looks OKAY (if you don't really look at the details), and it was no fun getting there. I would absolutely suggest using a different contractor.
