Let me sum it all up this way: Excellent communication, quality, and craftsmanship! Job well done! We had temporary flooring in our house after some kitchen water damage. We had asked local online FB groups for recommendations and seen Fred's come up more than once as doing great work. I called and spoke with Michael and got some information from him. We made plans for a estimate of the job and he came out to our house. He was on time, or early and called prior to showing up. Here is where it gets good... Their prices were fair. Maybe not the cheapest, but that's ok. Cheap does not equate to great. Very fair quote. We decided to accept and paid 50 percent up front for flooring they had to order in from their nearby warehouse. Although a day late in confirming it had arrived, they Michael contacted us to let us know our materials had come in to their local shop in Murfreesboro and we made an appointment to start the work. Our family moved all the furniture out of the kitchen for them and when their crew showed up to begin work...guess who also showed up at the same time? MICHAEL! The sales person also came with the crew to inspect once again, check in with us and scope out the project once more. He inspected areas (under the dishwasher and refrigerator) he couldn't see before. He got on his knees and checked it all out. He discussed the project with the crew, said he'd be back to check in later and said goodbye. The crew got to work, tearing out sub-floor, tile backer and going to town on the demo. My ONLY constructive critique was that we were unprepared for the amount of dust...but I should have known better, Lol... Half the crew left to go pick up new sub-floor for the kitchen and the others kept working. Efficiency is their game! The project took two days, as planned and discussed. They worked late the first day to get it all done. Day two was hard work too. Now, we have new sub-floor, no more water damaged issues and they even got rid of a few squeaking floor areas that drove us nuts! Finally, when everything was done, Michael called to check in the next day. With two SMALL concerns, he came by the next day to check it out. All that was needed was a bit of silicone sealant in two areas and done. He had his guys come back out asap. HE personally was there each step of the way. Give the man a raise.... ;-) If you want dependability, honestly and a solid work ethic, give them a call... They cut ZERO corners and our floors look great!

Then Mark came out with Chris on time and worked hard to stop the squeaks in our wood floor. They were also able to stop the floor from slightly moving under our bathroom tile which caused multiple grout cracks. We can now get the grout fixed and put a stop to that aggravation. David came out, looked at my shower, (seriously, just looked at the shower and threw out a number and said he could do it the next week for xxx amount) and he was done. I asked for a written estimate detailing what steps would be taken since he couldn't tell me when he was at my home. He obviously was just the salesman and didn't know anything about this project. Other bids I received said that it would take a good week to repair and he said two days, which I found odd. Anyway, he called me the next day asking me if he could put me down for the next week to get his guys scheduled. Told him I was waiting for the detailed estimate-not detailed with $$, detailed as in the steps taken to repair. I never heard from him again. Ghosted. He wasted my time and made the company look really bad. He over promised and under delivered. It is a real shame as I have a lot of high profile clientele that I was going to give referral to had the project come out well. Now it will be the opposite. All he had to do is be honest and tell me he was incorrect and it couldn't be done. I felt as if I was being pushed into signing on the dotted line without knowing what I was signing. We will be using David and his team for all of our future flooring projects in the Nashville area. I wouldn't go with anyone else. The long version: we reached out to David as one of our options when redoing our flooring in our home. He was helpful and came by to give us a quote and offer some flooring options. We ended up not going with him because our project manager wanted to use one of his guys. Even after deciding to go with someone else, David was responsive, kind, and helpful. Well, ultimately, we should have gone with David from the beginning because we had a very bad experience with the initial team our project manager chose (they didn't come on time, would skip days, were unresponsive, damaged parts of our home, and generally did poor work -- you name it, it went wrong with them). So: we went back out to bid the rest of the project (the stairs, the most complicated part of the project) with a number of contractors, including David and FCI of Eastern Nash --- his quotes were competitive with all the other bids we received. He was happy to work with us and use materials that we ordered separately through Floor & Decor. We switched to David halfway through the project to finish off our stairs. The difference between David's team and the other contractor was night and day. David was responsive and helpful in the planning stage, he spent a significant amount of time at our home making sure we were ordering the right materials with the right measurements, and he was flexible in moving the project date when our delivery of the flooring materials was delayed. His team showed up on time, worked hard all day, and even finished half a day early (which never happens in my experience with contractors!). David was there almost the whole time to monitor his workers, checked in regularly, and was the last one to leave in the evening. He even left our garage cleaner than it was when he got there! We had a couple items we wanted them to come back and refinish, and he and his team did it happily without push back. He even came back and did some of the final finishes himself when his team wasn't available, and that was after he had received full payment. He offered to come back and fix anything that went wrong with his going forward as well. Truly, top-tier customer service and a pleasure to work with. And the stairs with the new flooring look really great. Courteous, diligent, high-quality work at a competitive price -- he and his team made what was a daunting project feel easy. We will be using them again for all flooring projects in the area.

Made the mistake of buying an unfinished flooring site unseen. Order the utility oak floor which…read morewas supposed to be boards between 6 and 72 inches. Got there and signed for the pick up before we saw the boards and realized they are 80% shorter than 18". Sold as is with no refund or return option. Very disappointed!!! Update and added photo. This was half of the 650 sqft we bought. Found a whopping 8 boards longer than 2' and most of them were missing the tongues. Super thrilled to go pick up the rest of this burn pile. Honestly, can't believe they are charging for their trash and wouldn't let us return it.
