It was shy about 6 fence panels. They left a pile of fence wood laying in my yard stating they couldn't build the fence up to the rock wall behind my house although my neighbors had theirs's that way. Prince's lawyer threatened me if I bad mouthed them. They were ridiculously expensive. I had to hire someone else to complete the job they said they couldn't do. Lastly, the fence wood they used has not held up even after staining it myself. read more

"Let me finish this presentation so that I can get back to air conditioning" very rude and snarky. Asks for a 1/3 upfront. Why? Most reputable companies dont ask for money up front. During the whole conversation, all I heard was "things that we won't do "and things that we won't be responsible for. I was very happy with their initial installation back in July. prompt and close attention to detail. I noticed a growing bow in one section that was two feet longer than the rest. Chuck came out almost immediately to assess. within 2 days his crew came and installed an additional upright post. giving the concrete a chance to firm up, they came back and re-attached the section, all at no charge. Chuck and his crew are great. I highly recommend them for your fencing needs. read more

This guy is a total scam artist. Do not use his services. First, he will use pressure tactics to try to get you to agree in a short period of time without fully answering all of your questions or providing an exact quote. If you don't quickly agree, he won't give you the promised discount. Second, he will require you to send him a downpayment BEFORE the contract is signed. He actually requires you to send him thousands of dollars upfront without a contract and without a clear price. This is nuts, and it's an unethical business practice. This guy is extremely shady. Do not use Princes Fences for your fence. We were so disappointed with their poor workmanship. They installed several defective boards which had to be replaced. They also left huge piles of dirt in my yard. When they came to replace the boards, they did not even nail one one and it feel off and my dog escaped. They were defensive of their crew despite the fact that they confirm they made multiple mistakes and rushed the job. They did not come to fix issues when they promised and did not notify us they were there when they were working. I am so disappointed with the poor service we received on our $4200 fence. I'm not confident it can safety contain our animals or that it will last, even though we paid extra for their "premium service." I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a service provider, unless you want to deal with multiple issues, escaping animals, and defensive company reps. In addition, they have an arrogant attitude. The owner does all the estimates and has a canned sales pitch is canned and they do not work to make the customer happy. The project manager is very friendly until you control him about the crew's shoddy work and then he becomes flustered and borderline aggressive. If you do not pay them on time, they would collect a late fee, but when it takes them nearly 2 weeks to finish a fence they will do nothing to remedy the situation. Multiple neighbors have confirmed they've had negative experiences. If you love your pets, find another company that will ensure your fence is secure when they build it. Buyer beware! read more

Summary: I inquired about some work and the response was that Prince's does not do the type of work requested and they are referring me to another company they send these jobs to by copying the other company on the same email that had my name, address and phone. The problem is, I did not agree to this. I politely emailed back and asked for the opportunity to explain that this action is against the law. Instead they are treating me like I am someone that just wants to start trouble because THEY trust this other company. What they did not provide me the opportunity to explain is that I know someone who works for the other company (and who was directly copied on the email) that I have reasons to not want to share my PII with. You have just shared my private information with a company where I did not provide my consent for information to be shared. The process for a referral should have been the opposite whereby you share a publicly shared company with a private citizen; not to share personal information from a private citizen with a public company. There are privacy laws that protect consumers like us from things like this. I am not threatening to sue you but I want your company to understand that this does have legal and even safety implications. I would like the opportunity to discuss this situation with your company. We loved our new fence until a home inspection revealed that the company had broken through a drainage pipe and concreted a post in. This caused a backup into the crawlspace. After ignoring us for over a month Mr. Prince came back and said he would pay half but his men were not responsible. That I should have known where the drain pipe was and told them. The contract has the verbage that we would tell where pipes were and they would not responsible. I understand that but once they hit the pipe we should have been notified and were not. This was not done with auger but by hand. So they knew and covered it up. Mr. Prince said he would not pay any since I did not accept half payment. Very unethical to know you are responsible and not fix it. If we had been notified it would have been a pretty easy fix. read more

In an email, I was told the fence would be installed in 2 1/2 weeks. I signed the contract with Prince's Fences and sent the deposit. After they received the money, they informed me the install would be in more than a month. Maybe. Since I hired this company over others for the install date, I cancelled immediately. Chuck Prince was incredibly rude and mansplained that just because his associate told me 2 1/2 weeks, it did not mean it was true because HE didn't say it. They kept a $350 cancellation fee. The project manager, Jody and the sales person, Jason were personable and professional. They offer a cash/check discount vs using a credit card. Regular updates via email came to us regarding a planned start schedule. The project manager made an appointment to "walk" the site and future fence perimeter making marks with a paint can. The project start date was delayed by one day due to snow and ice. The entire project was completed over three work days (skipping one day to allow posts to properly set up -- made it a four day project). The project manager returned a couple days later to inspect, get our approval and collect the final payment. We would gladly recommend Prince's Fences to other potential customers. read more

I recently had a wood privacy fence installed in my backyard with Prince's Fences and the experience was great all the way through. John was very informative and consultative around how best to set up the fence boundaries and how the installation would go. Scheduling went much quicker than expected. Originally was told could be 5-6 weeks out, turned out only taking about 1 week after my HOA approved the fence layout. Install went very quick, they cleaned up everything from the shipment of materials and offered recommendation for a staining company if/when we decide we're ready to go that next step to finish it off. Within a couple of days, Chuck Prince was out to give me a quote for a new one, and less than a month later I have my fence back. I was amazed at how well the fence held together even after the trees hit it! Sure, it fell over, but the original fence was so well-built that sections of it were able to be reused in the new one.
