Before. Previously went to a stylist that ended up turning my daughter's hair grey and silver. She was hoping for notes of Carmel.

I took my daughter to a stylist and she asked for a partial foil with a cut. After she was rinsing my daughter's hair, she then told her she charged her for a full and additional color. This was not discussed. After blow drying my daughter's hair, it was purple and silver/grey! (As you can see the pictures) she has showed her a picture with some notes of warm Carmel color. When I asked about it and told her we were disappointed with the service, we were told the toner grabbed her hair, and she just needs to wash it. I was so frustrated and my daughter was upset because she starts high-school in a few weeks! I knew Kayleigh Hale had worked At Brassfields so I sent her pictures and asked for help! She came to the rescue! She not only squeezed us in the next day. But made my daughter feel validated, beautiful, loved, and she was professional. she also talked to my daughter about how to continue to manage her hair to keep it healthy. Added bonus! She worked MAGIC!! As you can see my daughter had a very happy smile on her face after we left, and has been talking about it non stop! Such a transformation! (shown in pictures) The one thing I loved was in the end Kayleigh thanked my daughter for trusting her with her hair. Hair is so personal. I am so grateful. Kayleigh is warm, friendly, professional, creative, artistic, and truly is a beautiful person who is gifted at making other people feel beautiful inside and out. I made my appointment on the way out, and my other daughter's appointment too!

I have been a client of Brassfields Salon and Spa for 40 years and it just keeps getting better. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. I moved and hadn't been in for a few years but when I came in for a consultation several of the stylist and the owner made a point of welcoming me back and even remembered my name. Bree was the stylist I had an appointment with for myself and my granddaughter. She was very thorough and even took a sample of my grand daughter's hair to make sure the chemicals she would use were compatible with her hair. When we came in for our appointment a few days later, she had scheduled her whole day around us. After she was done coloring my hair I realized it was just too light and she didn't skip a beat she offered to add more color right then while my GD hair was processing or she said I could come back free of charge on another day. I choose to do it then and she got right on it and the end result was beautiful! I think I just found my new Stylist.

I went to multiple stylists here for a year and never had any problems. I almost recently saw Tess for a highlight and cut. She asked what I was looking for with the cut and I said "just a trim" thinking she would then ask how many inches or hold up the hair to show me. Instead, she went directly behind me so I couldn't see and snipped. She took off FOUR INCHES. I almost started crying and I said "it's really short." And she looked me dead in the eyes and said "yeah. It needed to go." I think she could tell I was thinking about saying something more because she immediately said "I've had a really bad day today. I'm pregnant." Which like, okay I get that, but you could have asked before chopping off four inches of my hair! My hair is also wavy/curly, so it curls up and is even shorter, which I don't think she accounted for. It took me years to grow out my hair that long and I'm devastated. I'm not the type of person to ask for a refund so I didn't, but I don't want other people to experience the same thing. I'm never going back here.

Alina is the best stylist in this place. She does fantastic work, is personable and really listens to you and what your hair goals are. She's so funny and knows what she's doing with that color!

    uneven layers

would NOT recommend for ANYONE with curls. i usually cut my own hair and went in for someone to just cut the back and even it out all around. i asked for layers, but it seems all the guy did was cut the back (longest part). he asked if the length was okay and i was like "...yes?" but the quality of the cut itself was bad. my layers are now uneven and there are still many split ends. i ended up cutting more as soon as i got home :/

    Such a ripped off!

The stylist didn't do what she supposed to do and asked my daughter to come back in 6 weeks for another session! Of course she wont complete the job and ask the customer to come back to ripped off her customer!

I know there are so many other worldly concerns to be frustrated about right now however, I am writing to inform about a unfortunate experience with regards to my scheduled appointment. I had booked an appointment back in April right when Covid-19 restrictions were implemented therefore, my appointment had to be cancelled until further notice. I rebooked another appointment once phase 2 was implemented over a week in advance for 11:15am Sunday June 28 for a cut and color! Like most people, I was so excited to finally get back in the salon and get pampered! Per the instructions listed online, I arrived in the entrance parking lot adjacent to the seating area 19 minutes early, equipped with a mask, a shirt that could potentially get hair color on, and waited for a phone call to be welcomed in. I did not receive a call to enter so I continued to sit inside my vehicle per the instructions thinking that my appointment must be delayed due to the stylist possibly working on another client. I then received a text message from a friend at 11:26 whom booked a bridal appointment last year saying that she received a call from the front desk regarding my appointment. I immediately called the front desk and let them know I have been waiting in my car for over 40 minutes at this time and that they had the incorrect information in their system. The front desk informed me that a sign had been posted at the front entrance for the customer to call once they arrived and that "we have posted it everywhere". The stylist had declined servicing me due to there being a 15 minute window. I explained that I had been outside of the building in my car for 40 minutes waiting for a call per the online instructions and that I was following what was posted online. The stylist canceled my appointment and requested that I make another appointment a week later. I had not received an email or any update on your Covid-19 policy regarding the customer to call. Because the instructions online said to wait in your vehicle until a representative called, I had not approached the entrance and was unaware of the new policy. I reconstructed my entire day for this appointment and spent an hour traveling to this specific location. Needless to say, this was a very unfortunate experience. I drove home embarrassed and frustrated. I know that there are so many regulations to follow and ever changing conditions due to Covid-19 however, I was more than disappointed in the lack of customer care received that day and the lack of accountability. I have been here before and had a very great experience. I do not recommend this location and advise going elsewhere.

Ripped off my wife eyebrow skin. Not a whole lot needs to be said, the picture says it all. She didn't notice until she got home and I can't believe they let her pay when they could clearly see what was done to her brow. Bad practice and bad customer service all around

I've been going to Brassfields for years and have always had great experiences with all hairdressers I've had. They even did my wedding hair in 2011. I've been seeing Andrea for awhile now and she is just wonderful! She gave me exactly what I wanted with my new cut and I couldn't be happier.

I absolutely love this place! They treat everyone so well & I always feel so pampered coming here. This is only my second time here, but I was blown away by the service. The first impression I got (since I hadn't been here in two years) was from the receptionist Roxanne. I talked to her on the phone about how I had to reschedule last minute due to sickness, and she was SO understanding and kind. My hairstylist was Arielle, and she did such an incredible job. She really knew what she was doing, and took her time to make sure I loved it. When I came into the hair salon, I had just lost my grandpa a few days prior. I came in to hopefully feel like myself again, and do something to gain some confidence and joy back. I walked out of the hair salon feeling loads lighter (literally because I chopped 8 inches of my hair AND because of the way they made me feel at the salon). You never know what someone is going through, and I'm so glad I was able to go to a salon that made me feel valued & pampered.

I just left this salon after my first visit. Let me tell you that McKenna is a miracle worker. I had my hair and scalp destroyed 2 months ago at a different place and it took all the courage I had to trust someone to touch my head again. But I'm so glad I did! McKenna listened to my story and my explanation of what I was looking for, then got to work. The plan was to blend my grey so that the grow out was less obvious. Also with the intention of going all natural eventually. We did full foils, toner, extra conditioning, cut and style. It turned out gorgeous! She was so gentle and my scalp feels great. I booked my next appointment with her before I left, I'm never going anywhere else! Also the salon is beautiful, with big windows. Everyone is very nice, waiting area is comfortable, water with cucumber, tea, and Valhalla coffee available. Valhalla coffee!! It's as if I dreamt this place up myself. Thank you Brassfields and thank you McKeena!! You made me feel pretty.

This is definitely the season and it effects all of us so might I recommend we try to practice some of those wise choices that we're required of us during COVID-19, I'm also speaking to those who visit massage places when they're sick. Anyway, I received a gift card. That's the only reason I scheduled an appointment. For health reasons, as a frequent migraine sufferer, I've scheduled monthly massages for myself for over 20 years but since arriving in Wakinekona/Washington, despite my doctor recommending massage as treatment, it's not included in insurance and this place is hella pricey, not just Hand and Stone but almost every massage location I've looked into. However, the staff here are very friendly, professional, and the place feels clean. If you can afford it, then I'd recommend it. Try to be clear with your massage therapist when it comes to pressure. That always seems to be an issue regardless of where I am,this place is very gentle.

On the day of my appointment (4 PM), I received a voicemail at 10:22 AM informing me that my assigned therapist only offers light massages and couldn't perform the deep tissue service I requested. I was in meetings all day and called back at 2 PM, only to be told I had no choice but to receive a light massage. When I asked if another therapist could accommodate me, they said no. I requested to cancel and reschedule, only to be told I'd have to pay a $45 cancellation fee--despite the fact that their flawed booking system auto-assigned me to someone who couldn't provide the service I booked. They refused to waive the fee, despite giving me only 5.5 hours' notice that they couldn't fulfill my request. When I said I wanted to cancel my membership and leave a review, they insisted I come to the office in person to do so. At the office, the manager hid in the back while the receptionist handled complaints with outright rudeness. The manager sat laughing while the receptionist was dismissive and unprofessional, despite my respectful demeanor. This business prioritizes a $45 fee over thousands of dollars in potential long-term revenue from loyal customers. The poor management, lack of customer service, and complete disregard for fairness make this place a nightmare to deal with. I genuinely feel sorry for both the customers and the employees.

UGH IF I COULD GIVE YOU NO STARS!!!!!…read more These guys were at the top of my list when I searched for massage places that accept worker's compensation insurance. I visited their website, reviewed all their services and read their reviews. I was eager to get relief from a job-related injury. However, I quickly discovered they are no longer willing to help. They advertise on their website that they assist with bodily and work-related injuries, but they have stopped doing so because they don't get paid the way they want when dealing with L and I. I was told this directly by a team member when I called. It's unacceptable that the medical field prioritizes profit over patient care. I injured myself on the job through no fault of my own, yet I am being denied proper treatment. This is selfish and unjust. If you want to retain customers, update your website immediately so people in genuine need are not misled or left suffering.

I receive regular massages and facials (high end to medium standard/locally & during my travels) so I am very experienced in spotting a quality spa and know what great service looks like! The dim lighting and ambiance is very nice and calming. The establishment feels exceptionally clean and nicely decorated, even the waterfall faucet was fascinating! Not high end but good enough, great quality massage spot. My masseuse, Stephanie, is so skilled, has great technique and was in tune with my body. She truly has the magic touch and maintained the firm pressure that I like. The customer service was excellent from all of the staff members. I love how easy it was for me to book online (a requirement of mine), even last minute booking worked out well! BUT...I should have CALLED to book as it is required to receive the $10 off of the first massage. Oh well, I love to support small business. The location is fairly easy to find with the help of Google Maps but, can be hard to spot since I do not recall seeing a business sign along the main road (I could be wrong). They share a building and entry with another business (I think it was some insurance company). The massage business sign is on the door so you know it's the right place! I was so pleasantly surprised by University Place Massage. I will definitely be a regular here with Stephanie. I highly recommend checking this place out ASAP!

Hey Hello Hair! I…read moreabsolutely love this place. The ladies here are truly the best. I'm lucky to have Charla and Jessica taking care of my hair--my lifelong, deep red hair that I proudly say comes from my great-great-grandmother. It's that strong Indian red MC1R gene trait, and I don't take it lightly! I had hand and arm surgery in January 2026, and the girls even took care of my hair before my surgery. At that time, we were working through simple wash routines together because I couldn't wash my hair myself. They were so patient and helpful through all of it. By the time I needed my next move-up, I was ready to wash my own hair again, and they celebrated that progress with me. I truly love these ladies like I've known them for years. Everyone in the salon is so kind, fun, and genuinely caring--not just with me, but with every person who walks in. Going to my appointment at Hello Hair is something I always look forward to. I genuinely love being there.

At my most recent appointment, I specifically asked to focus on covering my grays, and she confirmed that we would make sure they were properly addressed. Unfortunately, the service did not fully resolve that concern. (And I paid over $300+) It was difficult to see in the salon lighting, but once I got home a few days later, I noticed quite a few grays still very visible. I reached out to let her know. Since I was in the process of moving, it wasn't feasible for me to come back in right away, but I was hoping we could discuss an alternative solution once I got settled or explore some form of help given I wouldn't have the time to come in right away. Instead, I was sent a link to purchase a gray touch-up stick from the salon. That response was disappointing and, in my opinion, not reflective of a professional resolution to a service concern. Clear consultation, and follow-through are essential in this industry, especially when it comes to gray coverage, which requires intention and attention to detail. If something cannot be fully achieved during an appointment, it should be communicated transparently with realistic expectations and options discussed in advance. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to refine consultation practices and client care. Growth comes from listening and improving, not from becoming defensive, rude, or passive-aggressive. I truly wish her the best and hope she uses this as a learning experience. (And others find this useful if you're looking for gray coverage as part of your service) And btw(after reading the owners response): this was NOT a gray blending service, it was always very clear that I wanted my grays fully covered each time I came in.
