    Latte

Enjoyed a latte at Copain on Sunday morning for Mother's Day. The service was excellent - a friendly host with a warm smile. The ambiance is delightful. The restaurant is quite small but charming, and there's a parking lot across the street.

Came here for a treat after lunch. The space is beautiful. A couple of gluten free items in the case including a chocolate chip cookie and banana nut muffin. Coffee came as 8oz which seems so small after all my grandes at Starbucks, but I got a caramel latte and it was delicious. The gf choc chip cookie was good too.

Such a delightful experience at Brasserie Copain! Gorgeous store front, inviting employees, beautiful on the inside. The choices of pastries, food, & desserts, along with coffee, lattes, & alcohol (think champagne, wine). I had the roast beef sandwich with mixed lettuce salad as my side (was so excited I didn't get a picture). Seating is "family" style at the tables, but they have some booths & you can sit at the bar. Didn't wait long for my food. A bit pricey, but worth it.

It feels like a quaint bistro then seated and obviously designed by a man because there is nowhere to put a handbag except behind you or on the floor. Easily solvable by putting some type of hook on the metal post that holds up the table. The night we came the mussels and the frisee salad were not available. Could still have the frisee with a different lettuce type. The menu is limited. Wish they had the sandwich menu available or pieces of quiche as well. The French Onion soup was like who spilled the whole shaker of Morton's into this soup. I am the type that loves salt and puts it on even if salt is already on the dish. The one ppl say there's already salt on the dish. Gruyère is a big glob and definitely need a fork to eat it. Generally I wouldn't say anything but it was too much. The soup is made fresh daily. This batch had been made that day so didn't want to sub a new bowl. The Caesar was very basic and the croutons were slivers of bread like literal slivers of the crust. From a size perspective, definitely a French portion. Let the manager know that it was too salty and they were definitely accommodating. Customer service is 5 star. They subbed dessert for the soup. The banana pudding was gone before the photo could be snapped. It was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend. We will return and definitely try something else.

I like that you can sit at counter and have a cup of drip coffee in a mug at a decent price, get a free refill and enjoy the ambiance!

When I went to redeem my Goodiebag offer the guy working the counter was amazing. I got there very close to closing and he was so sweet. He went into the counter and filled our bag was savory treats. There was around 7/8 items in the bag. Everything he put in the bag was a surprise to us. We noticed a few of the names but they looked alike in the bag. Now we had 2 with hamburger meat/ground beef. They were our favorites. One had ham and cheese and one had corn and cheese. Both were delicious. Small round cheese breads were very chewy. Our least favorite was the hot dog but it wasn't terrible. We opted to get a sweet treat also and loved it also. It was a milk and coconut twisted bread. All in all I was super impressed with what we got and all the delicious flavors. We split the goodie bag items between 3 people and were very satisfied. Romeo and Juliet Brazilian Cafe 1605 Galleria Blvd Ste 105 Charlotte, NC 28270 (Review 16 in 2024 and 816 overall)

I always get the flan it is the best in the state BUT it is not consistent unfortunately and is expensive I keep buying as most of the time it is amazing but when it is not I have not eaten it or tossed it again unfortunate. I do love most of what I get and always try new things and you can fine inside and take tons to go. They have other interesting and international gourmet goodies to treat yourself to. I do wish that all counter staff could communicate in English as I ended up a few times with things I would not have ordered and it was due to miscommunication and again the price is expensive and worth it when on point. I do recommend this spot as there are many reasons to come just make sure you know what you are getting and see about samples maybe before. Cute space tons of parking and easy to access.

The inside was immaculate and beckoning, with a two-sided display of the offerings and a shining espresso machine behind the register. The workers bore welcoming smiles and a a polite, inviting nature. All of that is the reason I give this patisserie three stars instead of two. While some foods are still a mystery to me - barbecue I can just take or leave, mostly leave - I know coffee and I know baked goods. The croissant I sampled was dry, implying unkindly that the flaky pastry dough was either formerly frozen or not fresh, and while croissants aren't exactly the moistest pastry to be found, the idea behind making them is kneading and rolling in a lot of butter, which I truly could not taste. What a disappointment. And somehow, somehow, my latte, albeit freshly prepared before me, was lukewarm when I took my first sip on the way to the car. How is that even possible? At the last minute, I asked for caramel to be added to my drink, but that was imperceptible too. I'd forgotten to ask for it to be half sweet, so I guess that was a blessing in disguise. When you stop by a bakery late in the day you sort of pays your money and takes your chances, but I visited just before noon. No crowds either. Disappointing all around, though again, the ambiance invites lingering. Cute bistro, lovely people, but - and I cannot believe I'm saying this - I'd have done better at the nearby Starbucks if all I wanted to do was get a latte and pastry. As the French would say, domage.

You order at the counter with food delivered to your table? Seems the location does a brisk to go business? I chose The Egg-cellent Burrito - nicely prepared & presented but the filling ingredients were not blended at all? And the tasty house made salsa, hardly enough? Tried a slice of dessert with ice cream but it was so overcooked it had been made rock hard? That's about the only thing that went right. Our server stopped by briefly while my wife stepped away and took a drink order (waters). My wife was back at the table within two minutes. From that point on, we were completely ignored. Not "a little slow"--completely ignored. We sat there for 18 minutes without a single check-in, no order taken, nothing. Meanwhile, the same server was actively waiting on other tables, including people who were seated after us. At that point, it was obvious we weren't just overlooked--we were being disregarded. We got up and left. On the way out, my wife tried to say something to a staff member and was met with a blank stare and no response. I told the hostess we were leaving after being ignored, and her response was "see ya." No apology, no attempt to fix it--just complete indifference. Another customer nearby even said, "not professional today, are we?" which pretty much said it all. To make things worse, the restroom was disgusting. The only available stall (the handicapped stall) was filthy and completely unusable. That alone should have been a red flag for how this place is being managed. I called afterward and spoke with the manager on duty, Johnny, to get contact information for the district manager--and was given the wrong number. I had to call a different First Watch just to get the correct one. That's not just poor service--that's incompetence. I actually like First Watch as a brand, which makes this even more frustrating. But this location is clearly poorly run and getting worse, not better. Save yourself the time and go to the Matthews location instead. This one isn't worth the hassle.
