The burgers and quesadillas are the best thing on their menu, everything else isn't too good. The last two times I feel like they had secret up charges. Last time my waitress asked me if I would like tater tots, curly fries or onion rings instead of my fries, she failed to mention there would be an up charge for them and I was charged an additional two dollars. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and it was incredibly salty. I am used to Mexican style chips and salsa being free, and these were not bad priced, but 4.99, i think! I failed to snap a picture of the Menu. Food - I ordered the two taco's - Now the price is per each taco, at 8.99 and they got me on that. I thought I was getting a good deal for two tacos, beans and rice for 8.99 until the ticket came! so be careful, and read the menu, unlike me. I ordered the Chorizo Taco, and the Bacon chicken Taco. The chorizo wasn't the ground sausage that I am used to seeing, and it was in almost hotdog form. Flavor wasn't terrible, just not what I expected for Chorizo. The other taco, except for the chicken being on the dry side, was delicious! There was nothing taco or fajita flavored about it at all, but it is something that i would order again when i go. The sizes of both tacos were large, and my belly was full. Now the Rice, like most restaurants wasn't good at all. no flavor, dry and hard. The beans on the other had was awesome! Good solid flavor, just not enough of them. Next time I will ask for a double order, and they can keep the so-called rice. Service was slow, seemed even slower when I asked for my check, and said I was in a little bit of a hurry. But she was nice and accommodating other than that. If I could give no stars I would. I do not recommend this place at all even to a dying man. The food was bland which doesn't deserve a one star on its own, but the absolute atrocious service had to wait for the full meal to come out. Had to ask the server three times for water without lemon each time she kept on bringing lemon and taking forever in the process. Finally had to get up and go into the restaurant to ask for it, and she still screwed up on the order and her response to it is to take her hands and remove the lemon by hand and hand me the water. I am sorry but no stay away from this place if you like to be treated with dignity. Chips and salsa weren't that great and they didn't offer to bring any refills. They weren't free either like most Mexican restaurants I got the Birria tacos. They were okay but weren't that big. My wife got empanadas and they were ice cold in the middle. The waitress didn't come back until everyone was done eating. Avoid this place! We used to be regular customers, but the quality started decreasing, ESPECIALLY on take-out orders. We stayed away for a few years, then decided to try it again via DoorDash. it was essentially inedible. The Mexicano dry burrito was at LEAST filled 80% with lettuce WHICH WE DID NOT ORDER, with only a small amount of rice and beans... the customer hates lettuce. That customer also bought a side of queso for $5, which turned out to be a tiny... very time... little cup (and no chips at all). The chicken in the Buffalo chicken wrap was obviously fried in grease so old that it was terrible. $50 wasted, but lesson well-learned. We will NEVER patronize this formerly excellent, but now extremely sub-par, restaurant. Perhaps they should have worked on consolidating their one location rather than expanding. read more

Service was excellent. This establishment is very busy, yet very efficient. We weren't 200% thrilled with our ground beef nachos grande. The chips, cheese mixture, jalapeños, and black olives hit the spot. Although tasty with just the right amount of Tex-Mex seasoning, the ground beef was crumbly and dry, and not a balanced quantity with the other ingredients. Our cocktails were excellent--white sangria and a straight margarita. Pricey beverages, but exceptional quality. The decor creates a delightful ambiance. The staff are super-friendly. We went on a Wednesday night, when BOGO burgers are offered, and enjoyed a delicious meal! Our server, Lisa, was a delight and very attentive throughout the meal. She made sure we weren't lacking for anything. The sangria margaritas were incredible. If you're not driving, treat yourself to the grande size! I had the tequila glazed burger, and I am already looking forward to eating another one in the near future. It was perfectly cooked (exactly medium), the bun-to-burger ratio was spot-on, and the glaze and tequila mayo made for a bright note of sweetness that was delicious. My husband had the Mexicali chicken and said that it, too, was very good, just the right amount of spice. (Though I think he secretly wished he'd gotten the burger too...) The only "issue" was that it was a busy night, and the kitchen got backed up. Lisa communicated this to us, and we used the extra time to visit and savor our garbage nachos appetizer. This is your run-of-the-mill tex-mex place. Though, without trying their gourmet tacos, I can't be sure if that analysis is entirely accurate. Though, what we did order, (the chicken avocado salad, hambriento hombre, chimichangas, and tres enchiladas) felt like they gave us a good enough impression. The food will pretty much satisfy your Mexican cravings, but it's not anything authentic. The service was good considering how busy the place was and how they had to accommodate to new guidelines due to COVID-19. Last time was so terrible it took 9 years to go back and give it another shot. Well I was pleasantly surprised.. I ordered 6 of their gourmet tacos, and I will break down each one of them. Ahi tuna: 7/10 Underseasoned tuna, too much slaw. Good amount, fresh. Could use a little more sriracha. Duck confit with brie: 9/10 Too much carrots, and the berry gastric was a little too sweet. Delicious good portion of duck and brie combination is on point. Asian beef: 10/10 Beef is tender with a charged grilled favor perfect for this taco, good balance of sweet and salty, umami if you will. Tangy calamari: 10/10 Crunchy calamari with a tangy sauce and a decent amount of heat. Moroccan shrimp: 7/10 The tzatziki sauce didn't taste fresh, more like store bought and it had a little too much cumin for my taste. Lobster roll taco?: 8/10 The lobster was cooked perfect and a decent amount. But idk of the avocado worked in it. Maybe if it was guac instead, needed a little acidity to cut through so much buttery flavor. They're were all yummy and good size, I couldn't finish them all, but I did try them all. My husband had the steak fajitas and he loved them, tender beef, grilled flavor, onions and peppers well seasoned and cooked perfect. It doesn't come with rice and beans which is a bummer cause he loves to smear the beans on the tortillas. We also ordered queso, but they forgot to pack it. Too bad was looking forward some chips and queso. Other than that I will definitely order again. We were there for lunch. The place is dark, dingy and looks like a dive bar. The menu looked promising. the Food was pedestrian at best. My tacos were cold, as was the rice and beans. My table mate had the enchilada. It was OK. There may be an item they do well and that is worth your time and money, but we didn't find it. I can only hope I do not get sick. Mountain Top location. Maybe the worst food I've had in a restaurant. Tortilla chips and salsa tasted like they came from the grocery store. Very bland. I had pork tacos. Soft taco shells were thick, texture and flavor of soft cardboard, broke in half as soon as I tried to pick them up. I've never seen taco shells like that before. Refried beans looked and tasted like canned. My wife had a salad with "steak". She couldn't eat it and gave some to me. The "steak" was obviously very very cheap. Lots of gristle. It must have taken a lot of marinating and tenderizing to make it chewable. And it was cooked very unevenly. Some looked too raw to safely eat, and I like rare steak. Second visit tonight to the Mountain Top location. Wanted 10 wings and a taco. They were completely out of wings. Bone in and boneless. Ordered Nachos and Americano Taco. What could be simpler? Nachos were served.They consisted of over toasted chips, cheddar cheese (not enough) and black olives. No salsa. No sour cream. No lettuce. No tomatoes, nothing else. As for the Americano Taco there was no seasoning on the taco. The meat was bland. Again there was no sour cream or salsa or flavor of any kind. Probably won't be returning. read more

A group of us travelled here spur of the moment. A "deal" came up on Restaurant.com that offered a $25 dining certificate for their special (Christmas in July deal) of $3. Started out as a joke as my husband and I are on a diet. By accident I sent a group text to my husband and neighbor , along with the restaurant.com deal, "joking" about buying a special and trying this place. Well, my neighbor immediately embraced the idea. So, my husband set out to purchase the certificate from restaurant.com on 7.19.22, while I was out sitting in a waiting room. I organized our people to meet and I phoned and made reservations for 5:30. Unfortunately, we could NOT follow through and purchase our certificate - the whole reason for trying this. We tried and tried, even phoned restaurant.com who said their site was having technical difficulties. Now, if it were just my husband and myself, we would have not gone, but as we now had two others excited to go out for the evening, we decided to go, even with out the special incentive. So, we continued to try to purchase the restaurant.com coupon right up to the time our check came and we were never able to get it, so, it was just an ordinary event. Although we made reservations for inside, when we arrived at 5:32, we opted to stay outdoors. Both the outdoor and indoor area were perhaps half full at this time. Busy, but not horrible. Our waitress, although pleasant enough, did nothing to go overboard in her service. For example, we were going to place our drink order and there was a special on margaritas. It was now 5:50 by the time she got to take our order. Two of the guests were going to take advantage of the drink special, but she wouldn't offer the special until exactly 6 p.m.!!! So, we ordered one two drinks and by the time she returned it was in fact 5:59 and she took the order for the 2 margaritas. To me, this was really stretching things. Onto the food, we had a few tacos and a shrimp burrito. The food was good. No complaints really, except I ordered the duck confit burrito and it was awful tasting. Not a good combination of flavors at all. Although I consider myself a bit of a foodie and ever so adventurous, this just didn't cut it. I should have known. I mean, how many people request duck? Likely the filling was "stale" or reheated and the flavors just tasted "bad", like a blue cheese flavor that didn't work at all. One of our guests was given the wrong order, she ordered an asian beef taco and a seafood taco but was given the ahi tuna taco. They did correct this, and interestingly enough, they brought a taco out for her within minutes, when we waited a ridiculously long time to get our meals!! Go figure. If you purchased 2 tacos, they threw in a side of rice and beans. This was a joke, as the side was perhaps 1/4 to 1/3 cup of product. I mean, its rice and beans for gods sake, what type of return of investment is there for a restaurant in serving rice and beans?? So, although the food was good, not great, it was not served in a timely manner nor was it hot enough due to that. Again, we arrived at 5:32, drinks ordered at 5:50-5:59 -didn't get our meals till close to 7:3 0 and we didn't have appetizers. My wife and I drove up from Pittston because the food looked amazing on instagram.  Unfortunately when we got our food nothing could be further from that.  I ordered the sirloin chimichangas and they were filled with cold flavorless rice and 2 to 3 of the smallest strips of steak I have ever seen.  15.99 for something that isn't even as good as the Taco Bell dollar menu is ridiculous. Have been going here for years, always enjoyed a trip here. Today I can't say the same... I'm not sure if it's under new management or what but our experience was not great. Service was quit slow for a Sunday afternoon, they did not seem busy. We sat outside. I have never gone and not been brought chips and salsa but they weren't ever even offered to us. Our food took quite awhile, at least a half hour and we both just got enchilada meals. The chicken in both our enchiladas was beyond dry, awful really... the beef, pork and seafood enchiladas were much better. The red and green sauces that were on my fiancés enchilada looked like it had just dried on top... side was tiny tiny portions of lack luster beans and rice... Was really looking forward to Brass Buckle today, we usually get the tacos but decided to try something new today, all in all it was a disappointing experience for sure read more

Made the colossal mistake of trying the new Brass Buckle that replaced Junie G's. Never again. I get there about 12:45, one person at the bar, one table with 2 people, no visible staff. After a few minutes, a young guy finally tells me to sit where I want. He asks me which menu I want, I tell him both breakfast and lunch, he only gives me lunch. I order an unsweetened tea, he only gives me water. I place my order for a salad. After about 15 minutes, he asks if I want chips and salsa, which I don't. After 30 minutes I tell him I'm on on a lunch hour and where is my salad. He says they're backed up with takeout orders. I give them another 5 minutes and tell the guy I can't wait around for this. A manager meanders over, asks what the problem is, he makes these exaggerated facial gestures that are just weird and the waiter gives him the same explanation. He doesn't offer to do anything, doesn't offer a free appetizer while I'm waiting, just says he's sure my salad will be here soon. I walked out. Told him I would be putting a bad review on-line and that if they couldn't accommodate people on lunch hours they had a problem. Don't think he cared. Not going back. read more

I think there is still potential at this restaurant, but the service was so slow to the point where it affected the food and our experience. And I don't think it's our server's issue, she seemed very overwhelmed. honestly, I blame the tough economy for the lack of employees. Had a very nice time. The Brass Buckle is a small quant restaurant. The service is was fast and friendly. We had the stuffed avacado. I would have to recommend them. Very yummy.
