Burlington, VT - The store itself was neat and organized however the problem was at the checkout counter. I was buying 2 pairs of socks totaling $12 + tax. I paid with a $20 bill. They could not make change for $7.16. They only had a $5 in the drawer and said I could take 20 dimes or "eat the two dollars". The employee literally told me that. They claimed it was Sunday so all the banks were closed. But a store like Brandy Melville doesn't have money in the store that they open with? It was noon. Every retail business or restaurant I've ever worked for has a "bank" in the register to start the day. It was like actual cash was something they'd never seen before. Amazing service! the employees were so sweet and so nice to me and everyone else! the store was extremely clean and if something was on the floor it was immediately picked up. they had an amazing selection of stuff with so many new things. the manager was so nice and helped my mom! i really do like her she's an awesome person. i went to the brandy Melville in Toronto in September and in every single thing, Montreal's was better. in Toronto it was smaller, the employees were passive aggressive and the store wasn't that clean but they had okay stuff. if i were to choose, i would choose Montreal's location in a heartbeat. as a person who is palestinian and supports palestine, it was nice seeing a store i loved support them aswell. read more

"You are going to clean up this mess after you are done right?" I was today years old and just knew you can talk to your customer like that loudly in Brandy Melville in Montreal on Saturday evening December 10th at around 6 pm. And a few girls were so exaggerated while telling each other to check how the customers have messed up the clothes they just folded. We tried some clothes because we planned weeks ahead that we want to purchase some clothes from Brandy. We were trying on clothes in front of the only mirror in the store. If you are the owner, and you care, you can check the monitor. But I don't think you do, because that girl was accusing us so loud that I thought she was the owner. To help keep the store tidy and nice looking, I will tell all my friends not to visit. Sorry for shopping and trying on clothes in Brandy. I used to love Brandy. read more

We were strolling by when we decided to go in, to browse. I found some items that I liked, and decided to try them on. As I browsed for sizes, it occurred to me that EVERY ITEM OF CLOTHING in this store was ONE SIZE.... literally sized "one size"!!! I was blown away, as I have never seen a store fully dedicated to ONE SIZE fits all. Luckily for me, I was able to fit into everything, but as an American shopping here, I have never seen this before in the U.S, so I was beyond shocked! Funny enough, the store was pretty packed and had a lot of shoppers in there. Overall, they had a pretty good selection of items to pick from - and I would shop here again, so long as I can still fit into their clothing next time. read more

Very good safety precautions, plexiglass at cash registers, everyone is wearing masks, and hand sanitizer when you enter and exit. There are long wait times if you go at peak hours but I suggest that you either wait before it opens or around 2:30. I waited 45-50 minutes when I went around peak hours. The staff is very nice, despite the rumour that Brandy employees are rude. My clothes fit perfectly and I will definitely shop at this location again. read more

Don't waste your time. Customer service doesn't exist in this store. The cluster of girls working there in the corner gossiping amongst themselves do not acknowledge anyone's presence. I glanced at their clothes but to tell you the truth, the disgusting attitudes of the girlies that work here just turned me off anything to do with this brand. Whoever is hiring or in charge of this Brandy Melville should change their game plan. Because I'm clearly not the only one who thinks this place is crap. Okay, so unlike all the other reviewers to this place, I don't have any gripes about the employees (they all were young-ish gals who worked here when we visited this past summer). They weren't friendly or unfriendly, they didn't greet us or act dismissive of us. I'm the type of shopper who likes to be left alone, so I appreciated my space and being able to browse on my own accord, at my own pace, without someone hovering about. My family and I liked the lay-out of this store and the open floor plan. It felt larger than it was, airy, almost loft-like. My fashionista teen daughter and I were not fans of the merchandise. (I say this, because my kid went in fully expecting to love the clothes here, as she had heard of this brand before. Me, I didn't really have any expectations either way). First of all, we both thought it odd that the clothing was all one-size-fits-all. How can this possibly work? Sure, with elasticized skirts, I can see it. But shirts? Blouses? Pants? Even yoga pants has different sizes, with good reason. This whole concept gave us both pause. Then there was the variety (or lack thereof). It seemed that the vast majority of clothing here were basic wardrobe pieces, in basic neutral colors. (At least, that's what was on the shelves and on the racks when we were there in August): t-shirts, blouses, camisoles, skirts and shorts and pants. Blacks, tans, beiges and whites. This was 95% of what was offered. Sure, it makes for the foundation of a wardrobe, but where's the variety? Where's the colors? Where's the different styles? And, lastly was the matter of price. I'm sure these clothing items are all of high quality and good materials, but man, they were pricey. For basic wardrobe pieces, for us, we'd rather go to The Gap and then opt to spend the bigger bucks on unique wardrobe pieces. But perhaps that's just us.... read more

By far one of the worst place to shop. The customers service is horrible, never a single greeting when you enter the store not even a smile. It always takes à REALLY long time for someone to come see you when you are waiting to try on clothes, even if the store is empty, sometimes they don't even come you have to go get someone. No one ever seems to work at that store, the sales clerks are always talking to each other behind the counter. If you are looking for a good shopping experience, go somewhere else. This is one of the bigger and less crowded stores that I've been to, but the customer service is by far the worst. Nobody greets you when you walk in; they just stare at you wondering who the hell you are. Employees don't even do anything. They're either busy talking to each other or on their phones. Also, in Canada, the markup on clothing is ridiculous. A dress that I could have bought in the US for $35 (without tax) turns out to be $44 in Canada in addition to the 15% tax. I love brandy Melville so I had to check it out on my trip to Montreal. It's a decent sized store but not as large as some of their stores in the U.S. The store did not have much stock which was disappointing. The styles they did have were cute though. read more

I came here the other day 15 minutes before closing time after looking for somewhere to park for half an hour....and when I got to the shop, the door was locked and the two employees inside just looked at us and decided to close the shop and leave FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING TIME. I am so disappointed having come all the way downtown to check out the store only to be shut out from it earlier than closing time is scheduled.
