This is a review concerning a patient walking out
of their office never to return.
In my last visit with Mrs. Miller, she berated me for
referring to her husband as Brandon (they are both
Dr. Miller) and her attitude continued to be offensive.
She kept telling me to sit down, as I told her no, I'd
just driven 90 miles and can no longer sit on these
brutal open infection sores all over my butt/body still.
I showed her the new horrific pics. Not once did she
address the issue concerning the lousy 100mg dose
of medication her husband had been prescribing me
for almost a year that was doing nothing to help these
infections. He refused to listen and the antibiotics were
destroying any good bacteria in my body, as well as
contributing, to the dry vaginal side effects of the
menopause symptoms I was experiencing. I expressed
several times just like the recent hospital surgery report
stated-these were serious colonizing staph infections
due to high levels of blood sugars in my body. There
were five oral meds that could treat this strain, one of
which was minimum 500 mg of Cipro. She ignored me
completely and prescribed nothing for these infections.
To my knowledge she did not document such in my file
either. Her husband, refused to prescribe a proper
antibiotic when the pharmacy contacted them.
I asked of her: 500 mg of amoxicillin for the upper
respiratory infection and two broken off teeth I had
in my mouth. The dental clinic scheduled me for the
following week, requesting antibiotics from my primary
physician till then. Both teeth were horribly abscessed
/broken as one could visibly see. I was in excruciating
pain from: the teeth, open sores all over my body, my
left thumb injury (copy of the orthopedics x-ray and
diagnosis with me), (I'd had several cortisone injections
prior) and my two knees that needed full replacements
were killing me (I also had those orthopedic diagnosis'
in hand). I was in absolute tears as I'm trying to express
my pain to this physician. I expressed I need an rx of my
proper dose of hydrocodone 10/325 and not 5/325. She
went off, telling me I don't come in asking or telling a
doctor what to prescribe.
This couple has no business being in business
together, they are not objective and need a third
doctor not related to them in the practice.
I tried to explain that I already take 81mg of aspirin
a day for Type II diabetes, 100 mg of Celebrex. She
knows that. I didn't need all that extra dosage of
acetaminophen in my system! I needed pain relief.
Prescribing me 5/325, me having to take two pills
as opposed to the proper dose 10/325, wtf. She
went on her tangent of people out there dying
from overdose, blah, blah and that I don't care
obviously. I wanted to tell the winch no shit, I was
one of the emergency workers picking their ass up
off the streets administering Narcan to bring them
back. She proceeded to tell me I did not need pain
medicine. Any prior doc knows my high pain tolerance.
I understand thoroughly the pressure these doctors
are under due to the new federal regulations on
narcotics, but, to refuse to view, contact orthopedic
doctors who reside in the same complex, etc. is
appalling. I had just moved from the area and lived
90 miles away.
These were the only physicians I still had until I could
get internet connection at my new residence and find
new doctors. The reason I'm in so damn much pain is
due to: nine years of hell of not being properly
diagnosed; scars from head to toe all over my body
due to these colonizing staph infections; not being
given the correct dose/types of medication; and,
not treated properly so I can have the dang
surgeries I need!
In this same visit, Mrs. Miller preceded to tell me I
refused to find an endocrinologist when I asked her
to please up the amount of insulin taken per day to
100-160mg. They still had it at 50mg/day. No wonder
I still had such high sugar levels. When I decided to
do what I knew medically, it took minimum 160/mg/day
of levemir insulin to bring my blood sugar within a
reasonable range of 100-150. I also brought in the
large gallon plus bag of empty insulin syringes to
show her what it was taking. I expressed I was
gaining weight from all this insulin and I now suffer
with neuropathy in my arms/legs.
How dare any physician tell a patient they refuse to
find a specialist they desperately need and that they
don't need pain medication! Too bad this winch isn't
on Medi-cal and experience the lack of specialists
accepting Medi-cal coverage!
Please be aware of these doctors blatant 'ego issues'
when it comes to a patient who knows her medical
history, has suffered endlessly, and has a medical
background. I walked out of the office never to return
(two nurses will verify this) and these doctors had the
nerve to send me a threatening letter concerning my
behavior. What a fucking joke.
I didn't choose these docs-they took over the practice! read more
