Take it from a girl who has a HUGE paranoia of going to dentists…read more.. This is the team to go see for your dental needs!!! Thanks to Dr Fukano and his staff, I have "graduated" from needing a valium and laughing gas to just laughing gas to be able to sit through a cleaning, cavity fill, what have you. Maybe it's the environment of being put at ease the staff has created, maybe it's because they know your name when you walk in, ask after your dog by name and come out to the car to visit her (while she gives kisses to them) even if it's been months since they've seen you last ... Could be due to how well they do what they do and explain what's going on, show you the cavity, etc ... Maybe it's how they create a sense of knowing that they do care and are there to take care of you in the best manner possible. For whatever reason... I'm starting to feel more & more comfortable going to the dentist... I used to be the person to put off going to the dentist for years, but now... I'm consistently going to my twice a year cleanings and keeping up on my dental health.

On my last exam my hygienist, Rebecca recommended that I get a night guard as I have been grinding my teeth which has required restorative work. I was putting off having the night guard made as I have anxiety when it comes to impressions. I entered the office and was greeted by Jen, at the front desk. I waited a few minutes when Althea (dental assistant) lead me back to the room where the impressions were going to be done. She explained to me what she was going to be doing and how long it would take for the procedure. It only took her a few minutes to do my impressions. It was stress free and I was on my way in no time. Thank you, ladies for getting me through this procedure with your kindness. See you next week to pick up my night guard.

In 2017 I visited this dentist, to ensure I did nit need work done after a major upcoming surgery…read more Found out I needed a root canal & crown AFTER the surgery. Then, the crown had too much cement crammed under the gum line, another dentist had to fix it. Then, they mis- quoted me on insurance costs. Now, in 2025, I have a bone infection under the root canal, liquified bone, horrible pain & a ton of money to fix. I also have to wait 8-10 months to see if the bone will regenerate, or I have to have surgery. Why? Because this unqualified dentist missed a branch of the root, left it in, and it got infected. Stay away from this practice. Everyone in it is below par, from the dentist to the insurance staff!

Waiting all weekend only to find that your usual dentist is going to be out of town for a week on…read moreMonday is the beginning of any tooth pain nightmarish journey, especially when your usual dentist doesn't have anyone to recommend. And dentists terrify me. Enough about me, Dr. Fordham's office was filled with angels of mercy who found me a spot on the schedule within the hour. They were kind, understanding and listened to all my "wah wah wah" without judgment. I was certain that they were just covering for the terrible dentist who was threatening them (because really ... all dentists are scary, right?) BUT NO! Dr. Fordham was awesome. Did I mention that he was awesome? Furthermore, he didn't judge me either. For not going to the dentist more often. Which is going to change, because he's awesome. His treatment plan didn't include ripping out teeth or root canals or chaining me to rocks for monsters to eat me either. He gently, clearly and in real language explained to me that I needed to follow through with the peridontal plan... and if I did, I'd probably live. And if I do (and I probably will) I have a new dentist.

Hadlock Dental Center rocks!!!!…read more I had a bridge, which was installed by another dentist years ago, come out, and one of the supporting teeth was pretty much crumbled away. Dr. Gile was able to see me very quickly and evaluate the situation. I was scheduled for an extraction a few weeks out, as it was not an urgent issue, and when I went in for the procedure, everything about the visit was friendly, relaxed, and positive. Shoot, it almost felt like fun! The office staff is very competent and gentle. They even called me later that afternoon to let me know I had forgotten my prescription mouth rinse. The assistant who got me set up in the chair and who assisted Dr. Gile was very accommodating. I am recovering from a collision, so I needed a neck pillow, and she offered two different types, making sure I was comfortable. I also asked for shaded glasses, and again, two options were offered. The hygienist who administered the novocaine (or whatever is used these days) was an artist. Top-notch technique! Dr. Gile is very relaxed, jovial, and cheerful (but not over the top). He is also supremely competent. I was expecting a much more difficult procedure, but it was over in no time flat. During the procedure, he even asked if I wanted to know details as he went along, I voted "No thanks", so he just let me know the basics, like when I would feel pressure. He called me in the evening to check on me, and again he was very friendly and upbeat. A previous visit a year or so ago to another dentist in a nearby town had left me very upset, panicked, and confused as to my options and feeling like my concerns were silly and irrelevant. My visit to Hadlock Dental Center was the polar opposite. I recommend them highly!

The doctor and the front desk lady/manager then had one of the nice ladies leave me a voicemail saying that language wasn't allowed in their office, so my appointment was cancelled and to go find a new provider! I totally don't mind going somewhere else, but it's pretty sad that, because the front desk lady lied and said I used foul language I have to get a new doctor and hygienist. If I had treated patients, clients, other co-workers how she does, I would have been fired. Is the patient, customer, client, not always right? Other employees have left the office, because of her and the doctor doesn't see it and just feeds into it. I'm not sure how pointing out that someone was rude not only to me but every patient and other employees in the office is bad language but apparently, her being called out isn't acceptable. She told me she didn't like being told she was rude and I said well try being nice! I do not recommend going to this office unless you want to be treated terrible and be in a tense and negative environment.
