Hadlock Dental Center rocks!!!!…read more I had a bridge, which was installed by another dentist years ago, come out, and one of the supporting teeth was pretty much crumbled away. Dr. Gile was able to see me very quickly and evaluate the situation. I was scheduled for an extraction a few weeks out, as it was not an urgent issue, and when I went in for the procedure, everything about the visit was friendly, relaxed, and positive. Shoot, it almost felt like fun! The office staff is very competent and gentle. They even called me later that afternoon to let me know I had forgotten my prescription mouth rinse. The assistant who got me set up in the chair and who assisted Dr. Gile was very accommodating. I am recovering from a collision, so I needed a neck pillow, and she offered two different types, making sure I was comfortable. I also asked for shaded glasses, and again, two options were offered. The hygienist who administered the novocaine (or whatever is used these days) was an artist. Top-notch technique! Dr. Gile is very relaxed, jovial, and cheerful (but not over the top). He is also supremely competent. I was expecting a much more difficult procedure, but it was over in no time flat. During the procedure, he even asked if I wanted to know details as he went along, I voted "No thanks", so he just let me know the basics, like when I would feel pressure. He called me in the evening to check on me, and again he was very friendly and upbeat. A previous visit a year or so ago to another dentist in a nearby town had left me very upset, panicked, and confused as to my options and feeling like my concerns were silly and irrelevant. My visit to Hadlock Dental Center was the polar opposite. I recommend them highly!

Thanks to Dr Fukano and his staff, I have "graduated" from needing a valium and laughing gas to just laughing gas to be able to sit through a cleaning, cavity fill, what have you. Maybe it's the environment of being put at ease the staff has created, maybe it's because they know your name when you walk in, ask after your dog by name and come out to the car to visit her (while she gives kisses to them) even if it's been months since they've seen you last ... Could be due to how well they do what they do and explain what's going on, show you the cavity, etc ... Maybe it's how they create a sense of knowing that they do care and are there to take care of you in the best manner possible. For whatever reason... I'm starting to feel more & more comfortable going to the dentist... I used to be the person to put off going to the dentist for years, but now... I'm consistently going to my twice a year cleanings and keeping up on my dental health.

On my last exam my hygienist, Rebecca recommended that I get a night guard as I have been grinding my teeth which has required restorative work. I was putting off having the night guard made as I have anxiety when it comes to impressions. I entered the office and was greeted by Jen, at the front desk. I waited a few minutes when Althea (dental assistant) lead me back to the room where the impressions were going to be done. She explained to me what she was going to be doing and how long it would take for the procedure. It only took her a few minutes to do my impressions. He sold it to Melissa Ilgen, and I'm happy to be able to go back to a dentist in my neighborhood. And a real plus is I actually like dentist Melissa Ilgen. She bought the practice a couple of years ago, and I just started going to her about two or so months ago. She has a very caring staff from the folks in the front who deal with patients as they come in, to her hygienists and all the various assistants. They are very kind and caring people and I really appreciate that. I had to go in multiple times in order to get my night guard they made for me fixed. They couldn't seem to get it to fit properly each time, and I have another appointment next week for the same issue. That's the only issue that I've had so far. I give them a thumbs up otherwise.

I've had a lot of bad dental experiences in the past, so I had a lot of trepidation about getting a temporary crown today. Dr. Couch listened to my concerns and took action to make me comfortable throughout the procedure. I felt seen and heard, and had one of the best dental experiences of my life. I plan to continue seeing Dr. Couch as my regular dentist, and already recommended him to my sister!
