I have never had balayage done to my hair before and wanted to see if it could be a possibility despite the train wreck the previous salon left me with. I'm not exactly sure what my expectations were because of how badly the color of my hair was, but I definitely did not expect for Summer to perform the miracle she did on my hair! I am SOOO in love with my hair! Summer and Roni stay well educated on the newest tips, tricks, and products. I am TOTALLY IMPRESSED. I have finally found MY salon! I refuse to go anywhere else! They were honest from the very beginning on what I could expect at the end of my appointment, but Summer definitely went above and beyond. I have never had anyone care about my hair the way Summer did and she was DETERMINED to make my dreams come true. I can't wait to go back for my touch up! Thank you Summer and Roni!

I came here with my sister, who has been a loyal customer for over two years, and unfortunately, our most recent visit left a bad impression due to the unprofessional behavior of one of your stylists. As small business owners ourselves, we know how important it is to treat customers with respect--especially loyal ones. This experience did not reflect that standard. To the owners and management: it is important to ensure your staff are properly trained in both communication and customer service. Clear language skills and professionalism are essential in this industry. Also, not every customer is looking for discounts or free services--we are simply looking for quality work and respectful treatment. During this visit, my sister's beautiful hair was shaved in the back with a razor to correct a cut that had been done too short. Using a razor in that way on a woman's hair is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. We understand that mistakes happen. We are all human, and sometimes language barriers or misunderstandings occur. However, what matters most is how those situations are handled--with kindness, accountability, and respect. This is a business that charges premium prices, and with that comes the responsibility to train and guide staff on how to properly interact with customers. We are not asking for refunds or free services. What we expect is acknowledgment, empathy, and clear communication about next steps--instead of being immediately asked to remove a negative review in exchange for a free fix. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it to improve the customer experience moving forward.

I waited a few weeks before writing this review because I wanted to make sure I wasn't reacting…read moreemotionally and to give my hair some time to recover. I also want to be clear that this review is about stylist Maher not Eddie. I've been getting Brazilian Blowouts for years and have always loved the results. My hair is typically silky, smooth, easy to manage, and looks healthier after the treatment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Maher After my appointment, I followed his instructions and washed my hair the next day. Immediately, I noticed something was wrong. I couldn't run my fingers through my hair. It felt extremely dry, brittle, rough, and damaged. The change was so dramatic that I was genuinely upset and spent days worrying about what had happened to my hair. I returned to the salon to discuss my concerns with Maher and Instead of acknowledging that something may have gone wrong, he made excuses and dismissed my concerns. What shocked me most was when he told me that he doesn't even like doing Brazilian Blowouts. If that's the case, he should not be performing a service he isn't comfortable or confident providing. I paid nearly $600 for this service and was offered no refund, no partial reimbursement, and no meaningful solution. Since then, I've had multiple professionals comment on the condition of my hair. I go to a blow out bar and the girl who does my monthly blowouts, immediately asked what had happened because my hair felt unusually dry and overprocessed. When I told her about the Brazilian Blowout, she said that should never be the outcome and that the treatment was likely not performed correctly. And today, I went in for a trim somewhere else hoping to improve the appearance of the damage. That stylist also commented on how dry and overprocessed my hair felt. Once again, when I explained what had happened, she told me that a Brazilian Blowout should not leave hair in that condition. At this point, I've had multiple professionals independently confirm that my results were not normal. My hair is still struggling to recover, and it will likely take months, if not years, to get it back to the condition it was in before this appointment. I don't leave negative reviews lightly, but I feel obligated to share my experience. My biggest disappointment isn't just the damage itself--it's the complete lack of accountability afterward. Based on my experience, I would not trust Maher with this service or any other services that require chemicals because he clearly does not care or does not know what he's doing.

Such a wonderful experience here!…read more I no longer live in Texas but I come home for holidays etc. to be with my family who still does. For my high school reunion last month, I needed to make sure my hair looked amazing since the water at my parent's house is disgusting compared to NYC's. I asked my cousin if she knew any salons that do a great blowout and she said she had heard of J L'Art Organic Salon from her friends! Booking on their platform did not work for me so I called to book my appointment instead. I did a 10am on a Saturday, thinking ok I'll be done within an hour... *TWO. HOURS. LATER.* (haha) Honestly probably one of the longest blowouts I've ever had but it was definitely worth it and I wasn't in a rush. The chairs they have you lie down on for your wash are sooooo comfortable. My stylist Chasity gave me THREE deep shampoos and the last one I think I fell asleep as she massaged my scalp for the longest time. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a total sucker for a hair and scalp massage. For my conditioner she massaged my scalp AGAIN and then wrapped my head in a hot towel so it was a steam mask for 5-10 minutes. Like wow. The blowout itself was done with such precision. Using the Dyson hair dryer, my hair was gathered into small sections and every flyaway was tamed. I have a lot of hair and it's pretty long so I really appreciate her commitment to the process. My hair afterwards was sooooo soft, shiny, and silky. Chasity did an amazing job! Also, they're very reasonably priced. My blowout was $50... my salon in NYC could NEVER. Such a luxurious service for such a great price! If I ever need a blowout again while visiting my hometown, I will be definitely booking an appointment here.

During that first visit, Megan was highlighting my hair and, because I swim a lot, there was a reaction. It took some extra care, but she made it work. The end result looked amazing, and I left very happy. Because of that great result, I trusted the salon and booked another appointment by phone several days in advance. The receptionist pulled up my profile and scheduled me with Joselyn. Joselyn was aware of my previous visit and even brought up the last incident herself. I explained that I hadn't been swimming for about three weeks, so my hair wasn't freshly exposed to saltwater. We discussed what I wanted for at least ten minutes, and she even mentioned doing a test strand -- which I thought was a great, professional idea. Then she left to grab the color and came back saying she would not work on my hair at all. "Saltwater exposure and dead ends." Seriously? "Summer time!" That's not a reason to refuse a loyal, paying customer. Everything from my last appointment with Megan was right there in their notes, so they knew exactly what to expect. Yet I was still turned away -- not even offered a haircut or an alternative. When I asked if someone else could at least give me a trim, she said, "We're pretty light today." I walked in expecting professional service and walked out ten minutes later completely refused w/ nothing. I'm beyond disappointed. If you advertise yourself as a color salon, you should be confident enough to handle color -- not back out of it after an appointment is already booked. This is supposed to be a professional salon, yet they couldn't handle a standard client request. I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and honestly insulted. If a loyal, respectful customer can be refused like that, something's seriously wrong with how they're doing business -- and who they're hiring
