I had been trying to politely tell Javier for months at the bequest of my girlfriend that he was being sloppy with his work, but because I knew he could not take criticism I often hesitated to stress the extreme importance of him being careful and double checking his work. My girlfriend was pissed and said you should tell him, but I did not want to ruffle his feathers. The truth is, Javier was quick to collect money was not quick to doing quality control. He was being sloppy with his silk screening for months until it came to a complete blow up in his shop, simply because I finally stressed the point and brought it to his attention. Javier had not been listening and brushing off my comments for over three months. I would fully pay and pick the items up and then have to take the hour drive all the way home and to only discover the errors in the job and then I would have to come back the next day with the damaged items. I did this several times until I just got fed up. This is unfair to any customer and he rarely credited me for the mistakes or was he considerate of my gas or time (2 hour round trip in LA traffic back and forth to his location). I also noticed that some of the t-shirts he silk screened began to peel and I thought this was strange so I brought it to his attention to make sure he was properly curing the shirts and not using cheap paint, then I noticed sloppy work where I would find paint splotches from the silk screen on parts of the clothing where there was no image, essentially ruining the garment. Since he had been printing items for me for years under his former boss Richard where I never had these issues, I simply chalked it up to "hey mistakes happen", however the reality is what customer wants to purchase a t-shirt, jacket, hoodie that has paint splotches misplaced from a sloppy silk screen job or where a hole a been burned into the garment? However what disappointed me the most and became the last straw and ended the relationship was his "quitting attitude" and lack of loyalty and respect for the customer for simply bringing to his attentions error in his work. Most intelligent business owners would have apologize and said "hey let me call the paint manufacture or let me make sure my equipment is properly calibrated", but not Javier. Javier in fact treated me as if he never knew me telling me he will do no more work and gave me back all my screens and some with wet paint on them and because I was contesting this irresponsible behavior he said I have video cameras. He is unprofessional and I do not recommend this business if you care anything about a consistent quality product and building a quality long lasting business. Here is the message for Javier, "do the job right we paid you"!!!!!!! read more
