    Harvest bowl

Literally Absolutely delicious and fresh every single time! This is my first time trying the Mediterranean Falafel Bowl --fire. The falalfel is delicious and hearty. I asked for half mixed greens and half rice in the special instructions, they did it! The Sweet Potato Waffle Fries are a no brainer every order. Genuinely the best I've ever had from a restaurant! I also will recommend the Harvest Bowl and any of the tacos. I recently had to go gluten free, so it's extremely nice to have such a quality and safe option here in Paducah! The staff and service is always so good. And the ambiance of the restaurant is very cool. Def a place to take friends and family. 10/10 overall from me.

Paducah is a long way out there; some four hours from Lexington and close to the edge of Kentucky, and it's probably a long way in any direction before you'd find another vegetarian restaurant. This one is fantastic in every respect, however, with their counter service model not precluding a warm welcome. Some menu options are big brand fake meat kind of stuff, but other options are more vegetable-based, and there are baked goods as well. Despite my other planned indulges, I could not help but note that in their substantial pastry display, only one hazelnut French Toast donut remained. When I laid claim to it, they did not bring out any more, so presumably supplies are limited. The flavor was wondrous in complexity, and while some vegan donuts are dry or tough, this one was actually quite soft and moist, but not too much so. An impressive creation, for sure. When my oyster mushroom sandwich with Indian spice fries arrived, they had a lot to live up to, and they were utterly mouthwatering. The battered and fried mushrooms were quite hearty, and these are the sort that have a decent chance of winning over a mushroom skeptic. The worst I could say is that a po-boy is properly associated with bread that is more in the shape of a baguette, while theirs was more of a burger bun. This is to take nothing away from the deliciously toasted bun, red cabbage slaw, and various other fixins that contributed to an excellent sandwich. The fries had several spices and a fresh lime slice to squeeze on top, and while I might have done myself a favor and gotten a salad, I was okay with my decision. The place is not in the nice historic downtown area, but you could walk from there without much trouble. And given the wide menu and flawless execution thereof, I would make the effort. I'd be tempted to drive from Lexington to eat here again, and if there is a better vegetarian restaurant anywhere else within the commonwealth of Kentucky, I am not aware of it.

I was surprised to find a great gluten free/plant based spot in Paducah. If you look at the rest of my reviews I'm obviously not a vegetarian, but I do try to find healthy spots when I travel. I had the poke bowl that's made with watermelon, and the mojito kombucha that's on tap. Excellent flavors, super fresh, and appropriate prices. The doughnuts looked really tempting...next time. I will be back! Owners: If you ever want to expand or franchise, you guys could do a booming business in several parts of Nashville. While passing through heading to Nashville, this popped up as a place to try. Two out of five in our party were hesitant to go because it was vegan. However after our food was brought out and the first bite was taken, everyone loved it. The flavors were delicious and the portions perfect. I would highly recommend this to anyone passing thorough or near the area. Complimentary cold water, water with lemon, and unsweetened tea are as an added plus. The staff was very friendly and helped us make the right choices. Definitely a place I will come back to!

Indian street tacos with dosa tortillas( so tender) and a lentil soup

Indian street tacos made with impossible chicken, fresh sauce and veggies- delicious. The iced tea is complementary with meals and not bitter. Perfect lunch!

Nice place to sit indoors or outside to eat. I am gluten and dairy free. I also try not to eat soy. This place had so many options for me I was mind blown! They list the allergen info on their menu and the placards for the desserts. Some of the desserts I didn't choose because of soy. I do know they fry in soybean oil. I'll see if I get a migraine soon. That's part of what soy does for me unfortunately. I went back for a dozen desserts to take with me. The blueberry lavender donut was the best GF donut I have ever had. I can't wait to try the others. I couldn't finish my fries, but that's ok. My boyfriend enjoyed his tacos and didn't realize he wasn't eating fish. I told him and he said he thought there was something a little off but he couldn't figure it out, because it was still really good. I am going to savor every dessert I'm bringing home.

Wow! Two plant based restaurants in two days - what a treat for me! And I was lucky that hubby found an alternative because no way was he going to eat plant based two days in a row Received a friendly greeting while I perused the menu. Decided on the Harvest Bowl which I was told used to be seasonal but was so popular they decided to add it to the regular menu and it is easy to see why! Roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower, Dino kale, sweet potato waffle fries, pepitas served on a choice of white rice, brown rice or mixed greens. I chose the greens and I think they complement the other ingredients very nicely. It is normally served with plant based feta cheese but I opted out. Don't remember what the sauce was but it was good. Very filling. Complimentary water, lemon water, or iced tea was a welcome treat (I paid $4 for iced tea in another restaurant with no refills!). Light, bright atmosphere to enjoy my lunch. Glad I stopped in while on the road!

Biscuits and gravy were tasty. Hash brown was good. We also had Korean pancake tacos that were very delicious. It's nice to have healthier options.

Driving through to Nashville, did a search for gluten free...Wow! Flavors were amazing! Everything we ordered was SO good! Texture of gluten free buns soft, bacon crispy, fried green tomato BLT was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. The Blonde brownie very moist with great texture and flavor. I had to buy a second one for the road! We will definitely be back!!

The "cheese" (I'm assuming cashews) is the best I have tasted.

EXCELLENT vegan food (and I am visiting from California)! In our home state, we have many vegan restaurants to choose from and I can honestly say that if Branch Out was in my community, it would definitely be my "go to" spot. I also highly recommend the quinoa nachos... delicious!

I wish I could dine here regularly.

I'm finally having a chance to review our visits to Freight House back in November!…read more My husband and I took a little trip to Paducah, and the main reason we chose this location for our vacation was Sara Bradley's restaurant Freight House. We both are fans of "Top Chef" and since her restaurant is within reasonable distance of home, we planned a trip around it. In fact, we made reservations for two nights in a row, to take in as much of the menu as possible! Between the two different days, we tried a number of appetizers, entrees and desserts. If I were to do this again the same way, I would do one day of apps and dessert and one day of entrees, just to spread things out a bit. What we ate: - Fall pickles: I enjoyed this, with the bit of chili heat, especially the cauliflower - Stuffed Mushrooms: I love mushrooms, and these blended creamy, sweet and hot with a filling of cream cheese, berry BBQ sauce and smoked jalapeno - Pistachio and herb chevre cheeseball: a fresh cheese enhanced by nutty and Herby notes - Smoked bologna: my husband's choice; very meaty and there was a lot of it - Spicy beer cheese spread: a very Midwestern feeling appetizer with tasty veggies and crackers Entrees: -Shrimp and grits: my choice: comforting southern food with lots of flavor - Duck fried rice: his choice: rich rice offset by more delicate vegetables - Sticky ribs: my choice: the pumpkin spice and coffee liqueur glaze worked well for a cozy, wintry meal - Braised pork shoulder: his choice; served with beans and cornbread, this was another hearty, comforting meal with a Southern twist. Desserts: - Winter creme brulee: this was my favorite, flavored with mulling spices, orange and pomegranate We also enjoyed a seasonal sorbet and the fall spice cake. We had the same server both nights, Elizabeth, who was good at making recommendations, and also staggering the small plates on our small table so we wouldn't be overloaded. Chef Sara was in house the second night, bringing dishes to tables. The setting is relaxed, not overly loud, with moody lighting. Overall, we would certainly return to Freight House!
