What really stood out was the experience and care behind the work. First, he showed up when he said he would and provided an estimate when he said he would, at a reasonable price. But that was just the start of the wonderful experience of having him do the job. He is an outstanding communicator, describing the current situation, what needs to be done, and providing regular updates along the way. This was especially vital for me because I live outside the area and had to make decisions remotely (my place where he did the work is in LA). He was very patient with questions, and explained everything precisely. He exceeded expectations by going to great lengths to get the job done on time, working long days and even into the early evening. And the result was magnificent! It is clear that he has a fine eye for detail, and he does the work right, to satisfy his high standards of workmanship. He even saw shortcomings in the work done by a previous contractor, and resolved those to bring it up to the high standards that he applied to his work on the current job. Obviously, I give Moshe/Mike my highest recommendation to anyone who wants work at their home to be exquisitely done by a real professional who truly cares about providing an extraordinary work product!

My husband and I were unexpectedly hit with a complete home renovation late last year. Old home =…read moreeverything was wrong with it. Everything. It was a daunting task of even trying to wrap our heads around everything that needed to be done, where to go, where to start, what costs would be and so forth. It was an overwhelming and stressful time to say the least. After asking around and not really feeling comfortable with those interactions, I looked towards Yelp for some assistance -- and let's just say it gave us a big fat hug in the form of Shawn and Leeran Goldin. Since we have dealt with a handful of contractors (I'll spare you of the horrendous details), I can speak confidently and state unequivocally that Goldin is a rare gem. Shawn and Leeran are meticulous to boot, VERY professional and courteous, and just all around reallllllly nice guys. As we are complete noobs to this world of construction we didn't have a clue, they were so patient and thorough in answering a gazillion questions and keeping us informed (and calm) through the entire process. They are HIGHLY knowledgeable, honest, caring, and did an incredible job on a complex project that involved planning, extensive demo, rebuilding, renovating, permits/building and safety. Communication was on point consistently -- holidays, after-hours, you name it -- and Shawn and Leeran both are conservative AND realistic with what they quote and anticipate. (My husband and I swear that Shawn has some x-ray vision superpower because he spotted things and pointed out issues within minutes of stepping foot onto the property.) I can assure you that having dealt with so many for our project that GOLDIN stands above the rest and candidly speaking, are the only ones I'd recommend to friends/family. We absolutely adore Shawn and Leeran and after having had so many horrific dealings with other contractors (big and small), I can't imagine trusting a project with anyone else. While working with them, you feel like this is THEIR home -- owning the project from start to finish. Trust me - go with Goldin and spare yourself of months of mishaps and sanity dealing with the unscrupulous companies out there.

I told them I wanted color-changing LED lighting, custom shelving for my consoles, a clean dual-monitor setup, and soundproofing for late-night gaming. They didn't just agree they brought back even better ideas. They redesigned the whole room, added hidden cable channels so everything looks flawless, installed floating shelves with LEDs underneath, and helped me choose the perfect paint color to make the room glow. They also suggested adding foam acoustic panels throughout the space, which ended up making the room perfectly soundproof.
