I've visited Brambly Park for an event prior to this however I had never dined in the restaurant so I was really looking forward to it. I was pleasantly surprised at how cute the inside is. I also didn't know the restaurant had a different name "Bari Trattoria". I ordered a glass of rosé to get things started! For the appetizer we had the Crispy Brussels Sprouts that were fried and tossed with granny smith apple, golden raisins & bacon vinaigrette. They were delicious! For the entree we had the Mushroom Pappardelle that consisted of a gourmet mushroom medley, sun dried tomato, egg noodles, and parmesan. It had a good flavor but the pasta was way overcooked. It really ruined it for me and I was starving. They offered to remake it and it was still overcooked. I'd go back for the ambience, wine and appetizers. read more

We rented a yurt for a winter gathering and really enjoyed it! It was decorated for Christmas and so cute. Managing the temperature was a little tricky for the staff (it ended up being a warmer day) and the food was just so-so. But we had a great experience overall! read more

Ugh, I want to love this place because it has such great vibes, but the service is just consistently bad. It isn't the staff's fault -- the restaurant clearly overbooks and the kitchen and servers just can't keep up. My table of four wait over an hour and a half to get served. At one point, the restaurant stopped taking orders because they were so inundated. Unfortunately, that coincided with right after two of us had placed orders and two were in the process of trying to place theirs. I get the point in pausing the orders to give the kitchen time to catch up, but that approach doesn't really work when people with reservations have already been seated and then just have to wait for an hour or more to even place orders. Went here with my husband for a birthday dinner for a friend. The vibe is really cute, especially since the Holiday decor was still up. The place was clean and the nearby tables were happy and enjoying themselves. We sat on the patio which wasn't too bad. Our legs got cold but our upper body was warm because of the heaters. My husband and I ordered the Shrimp a la Brambly. It was pretty yummy but the dish came with inconsistencies. My dish had 3 shrimp, my husband's 4; I had a lot of noodles and sauce, my husband did not; and I had 1 tomato; my husband had 5. The inconsistencies were strange haha. This is a great spot for gathering together with friends. The atmosphere is wonderful and there's lots of seating options which I really love. Indoors at a table or the bar looks so cozy. But I've always eaten out on the patio. There's a huge outdoor area too witch stage for concerts. I've not been yet but it's on my list! We went for dinner last night with friends before the theater. The food isn't great but honestly it's good enough and it's always plentiful. Cocktails are amazing and they have a huge wine and beer list. I had a garden salad with an order of the truffle risotto. The risotto was just ok - I like mine slightly less al dente than they'd cooked it and not quite as goopy. The flavor was fantastic though, and the salad was fresh and plentiful. Also, there's both gluten free and vegan options available which is really nice and they are great about adjusting orders to leave out things like onions, etc. I do highly recommend the pizza - that's always an excellent choice. If you are looking for great atmosphere, plenty of parking, good service and a place that you can go with just two people or a big group I really do recommend Brambly! read more

One of my favorite outdoor spots, Brambly Park steps the whole experience up a notch by offering őútdőőŕ yúŕtś so that your group can enjoy a night out with some dedicated space. This is especially helpful once we enter the cooler months. Alrhough they are known for their wine offerings, I was in more of a ċȯċkṫȧil mood, and chose to grab an old fashioned instead, which was excellent. The real star of the evening, however, was the cheese spread. Our group opted for a couple of the artisan cheese and meat boards which came with an array of meats and cheeses as well as jams , pickles , and mustard. I really loved the yurt experience here. The yurt was clean, really comfortably furnished, and had a very woodsy/comfy/chic aesthetic. Love Brambly. Because of its multiple settings, it's a great spot for multiple purposes... a date, fun with friends or a business meeting. The dinner menu is most appealing to me. I had the chicken Milanese last night and it was perfect. My friend had the NY Strip, which he enjoyed. He doesn't like Brussels sprouts, but he liked them here. The bartender also made my dry vodka martini perfectly, which is difficult to achieve... not sure why. I've had the prosciutto pear pizza before and thought it was a little lacking on flavor. Brambly Park is a unique friendly venue. Although they have a lighted parking, it fills up quickly. Parking can be difficult during peak times. Wear good walking shoes since the street leading to Brambly Park is very rough. I recommend visiting and I will return. A good selection of tasty apps. We ordered a bunch at our table. All very good. The dinner entrees at our table received a resounding Meh! Seafood dishes were small and lacked flavor. Pasta dishes were nicely presented, plentiful but again little flavor. Two types of pizza ordered had very little sauce, were flat, soggy, chewy and lacked flavor. The margarita pizza had a few strips of moz. cheese, a little shredded basil but none of the fresh vegetables typical for a margarita pizza. Service was friendly and efficient. Several people delivered dinners to the table (9 people) at the same time - high rating to the serving team! After dinner was delivered we didn't receive any additional attention (refills on water, clearing of unused dishes) One of our people had to go to the bar to get another bottle of wine. The crowd had thinned out by then. The servers could have driven more revenue (drinks etc) with a little additional attention. read more

Brambly Park is a great hidden gem located in Scott's Addition. They have an indoor dining area / restaurant and an outdoor seating area that feels like you're in a park rather than in a busy part of town. The outdoor area has picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and string lights. There is also a stage for live music. The venue is dog friendly (outdoors) and family friendly. They have a great selection of wine and other drinks. In the colder months, they offer private yurts that are available to rent for special occasions or group get-togethers. read more

Brambly Park has become one of my top favorite restaurants in Richmond, hands down. If you only visited them when they were doing the app-ordering thing during the pandemic's peak with auto fees for cleaning, it's time to return. I'm glad I didn't write a review after my first or second visit, as I've loved this spot more and more after each return. Their covered patio is super cute, the park area is perfect for a mild weather day, and the interior is so well-done and inviting. The bar is super pretty, too. Only meh thing I'll say is that they keep the interior a tad too cold. I've had a whole array of their cocktails at this point, but I'd say my standout favorite is one of their winter specials: the hot cider with rum. So freaking good and heartwarming. The mulled wine is good too. I most recently had the summer tang special (nice) and the rose lemonade (way too watery), but I've also had their spritz and other cocktails I cannot remember names for, but are likely pictured here. As for food, I have a super weird affinity for their wedge salad, except I butcher the thing. I order it without tomatoes or gorgonzola and instead add parmesan cheese. Love it. The Bari burger is awesome too, as are their waffle fries, pizzas, and the Italian panini. The baked feta app is fantastic also, and their desserts are pretty good (maybe not my favorite though). The only section of their menu I haven't really dug into are the pastas. Maybe one day. I also haven't been for brunch, but I have a reservation booked in a couple weeks for my birthday! read more

Many seating options: Inside, covered patio and outside in the park with umbrellas covering the tables. Also, yurts for rent. This past weekend was a hot one and this place was packed! We did not have a reservation so my advice is to make one. No seating available outside so we were seated inside the restaurant, which was fine by me because the air conditioning was lovely and the tables are spaced far apart so we had a lot of privacy. Chelsea was our server and she took excellent care of us. We had a couple of wine flights. We had their flight of reds; which is on the menu. The wines were pleasant but didn't wow us. Then we put together our own flight of white wines, rosé, and a petite Syrah, which was my favorite. To eat, we shared the meatballs. The meatballs didn't have a lot flavor to me, but the sauce was wonderful and the garlic bread with it was divine. We also had bruschetta, which was very fresh, and the waffle truffle fries, that came with ketchup as well as a delicious aioli. We walked through the outside area and it had a fun vibe, with a musician/singer performing. Parking was challenging on the weekend. Cool place overall and I can see why it's popular. read more

What a wonderful place to eat and be merry. Our server was kind and attentive, she knew the menu and gave great suggestions. We got the Calamari which was perfect We also got the spaghetti (delicious), mushroom pappardelle which was exactly what one wants. The mushrooms were steak like and the sauce was divine. We also got the pesto pasta which while a little dry on the sauce side was still flavorful and delicious. We also got the charcuterie board which had a nice variety. Wines were very nice and so were the options for tequila and cocktails. Also the cannoli are a perfect end to a meal well enjoyed. The setting is picturesque. Review of the Park area. Friday 6:45 reservation. Easy to find. Our table for six was ready upon or arrival and the hostess pointed to the number of our table, so not actually seated. Beer list wasn't updated online, but it was most of the same local breweries. Rotating options, which is always a plus. Try something new. Not very impressed with this part of the business. Chips were soft and stale, Pork nachos were quite tasty but borderline cold. Not enough runners or just unorganized. They never brought me my beer, but other guests received their beers. The guy that got it for me was super nice. That's why this review is a 3. Stage is good size, but just a solo artist was playing. He was very good and the sound quality was solid enough with an adequate volume. I would not spend my $ for this sort of place again. Bummer. Lots of potential. read more

What a great place! Been like 9 months since I could get together with my friend we wanted something different and this was it! It's a winery restaurant nice selection of wines and flights. We got the Featured flight of reds (nice 2oz ish) pour of each.. ordered our salad I chose the Tuscan wedge and she chose the the Caesar salad ( each is enough to share)... then we got Prosciutto and Pear with arugula pizza We had to get to go boxes for everything! I would definitely go back! Yurt was really really cool. However, that's where the positives mostly end. We tried the wine flight which included a Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Gamay, and a Petite Sirah. The wines were definitely wine, but they lacked body and complexity, they did not taste like mature wines. Additionally, Brambly park identifies as a winery but their wines are from all over the US. You would hope that the food would be better with the wine being so lackluster. However, the food disappointed and lacked flavor. The wings were alright...however the mushroom papardelle and the pizza both were lackluster. I really want to like this place but overall relatively disappointing. read more

Brambly Park is so much fun. Aside from the winter time they have a great pet friendly, outdoor section with wait staff and a live stage for music. On my first trip to Brambly Park, a group of three (+ dog) sat outside, had delicious pizza and listened to a jazz trio that was awesome. They also have a proper dining room with I a more expansive menu. If you care to move inside the indoor space is a proper restaurant with a bar and stylish decor. They really did the indoor and outdoor sections right. Choosing which experience to have I would say depends on your mood (and the weather). You can't go wrong here. If you're there with a bigger group and care to be a little bit rowdy there's an enclosed large outdoor patio that will keep you warm and dry that offers big tables and an atmosphere more centered around fun. The food is great regarding both the pizza menu and the dinner menu. The bar offers cocktails, beer and wine and the staff has in every case been friendly and pleasant. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter - all are good for Brambly Park. Located in Scott's Addition on a far street that almost makes you feel like you're leaving the city, there's plenty of parking though when they're at their busiest you might struggle to find a spot. Having been a few times now this place is batting 300. read more
