My time was wasted. My time is money. I did several diagnostics at different locations and they wouldn't accept it costing me more money and more time. I went on the day the manager told me to go and i couldnt get a diagnosis to order parts and get it fixed. Im broke during a time of crisis, no one cares about my waste of money or time. Very irritating. By the way one of the places i got a diagnosis from was recommended by this brake place. I legit have a set time ti get my vehicle fixed. I still have to wait for parts. And whats up some of these mechanics expecting to keep you for days. Some repairs dint even take that long. You cant give me a call let me know when my car is ready to be worked on wtf read more

Mark and his entire staff have always taken care of our cars and will continue to do so because of the great work and honesty and trustworthy service from this store! If I need work done but my budget isn't able to handle it right away, they'll work with you to figure out what needs to be done first and go from there to work within your budget. Thank you Mark and team for always taking such great care of me when I need work done on my van!! read more

I have had 2 oil changes here, both with coupons. The work was done quickly and the coupon was honored. The service was friendly, and when I returned with a question about tire pressure levels, they checked them on the spot and fixed whatever was wrong that was tripping the sensor on my dash. They also didn't treat me "Like a Girl in a Body Shop" which I appreciated. I had no issues and will return in another 5000 miles for the next oil change. read more

Way too over priced. Wanted to charge me $300 to replace my thermostat water outlet. Took me $60 (needed parts) and an hour to do myself.

Honest, reliable, fairly priced! I used the location at 92nd and Wadsworth. I had an appointment for a front end alignment. The service was quick, well done, the staff is helpful and friendly. The price was extremely competitive! read more

Excited to have my Jeep back, and in better condition then I left it! Mark was super helpful and patient, explained everything in detail over the phone and then broke it down piece by piece when I showed up to pick my Jeep up. He even gave me a student discount, (double digit percentage off my final bill!!) The only complaint I have is that my tire pressure light was on and wasn't checked nor mentioned to me. Not a big deal however I had my brakes repaired and an alignment done and would have thought that the light on the dashboard would of have been resolved when I got back in my car! Labor was a little pricy as well. Other than that everything else seems to run like a well oiled machine. Thanks again Mark! read more

Great customer service!! I had overfilled my transmission fluid and took it to a couple of other places to try and syphen some of it out. No one would help me until I came by here. Davey was super friendly and helped me in two minutes. He even had me drive around and recheck it just to make sure it was at the perfect level. Thanks Davey!! read more

The manager at this brakes plus is the nicest guy and will help you out in anyway possible. If there's a problem with your car he will be honest with you and tell you how it is. But will do anything he can to make you satisfied and get the car back to you in a timely fashion. I recommend this guy to anyone who needs more than just Break work. read more

Love this place. A friend recommended it to me. They got me in right away! The manager also saw that my radio wasn't working because it needed a code before it activated. I've been lazy and haven't done it for a year. He personally called around for me and reset my radio and cd player. I'll definitely be going back! read more

I drove up to get an oil change and they had three guys sitting in the garage doing nothing. Literally. Leaning on a counter. I was told that I would have to leave my car there over night because they couldn't do it and the next appointment was over a month away. They were open for another hour and I feel they just didn't wanna do it. An oil change takes a half hour cause I went across the parking lot to the other place and got it done in under 30 min. And they guys at brakes plus did nothing the whole time. I know because I could see them. What horrible customer service. They lost business. read more

Horrible unfriendly customer service. Guy at front desk is an arrogant @##. He acted like it was a chore to explain the estimate. Overpriced unnecessary repairs. Place was a mess all while the douche at the front stood and watched TV for two hours. Wipe down the nasty counters and coffee maker ya lazy jerk! read more

I love this store. I never feel like I'm getting completely ripped off, I don't feel like they push a bunch of stuff I don't need. I'm female and rarely feel respected at a car place but here I feel like it's my dad helping me. read more

I would recommend Brakes Plus to anyone and everyone! They give fair and honest quotes. They don't try to tell something is wrong if it isn't just to bump up the bill. In addition, they tried their best to get the cost down after having to sink over $2,000 in to legitimate repairs. Associates are always friendly and great to work with. read more

The wonderful staff at brakes plus worked with me and helped me get my car back to being a safe car to drive with my kids. I cannot thank them enough not only for their great work, their excellent customer service and they made me feel like they really cared. They definitely went way above and beyond. I will be returning and anyone who asks I will tell them to go to this brakes plus. read more

Great service here! Had a low oil light come on at 2k miles after service and the gentlemen checked it out and your it off all for free. I'll be back! read more

Very honest and reliable service. They will do a thorough inspection and give you the options. This is a very busy location, so it's best to call and schedule an appointment. read more

I just had my second appointment in the past week canceled. The first appointment I scheduled online to have a diagnostic check. I should up for the appointment to find out that their diagnostic person wasn't working that day and that I should have called to make an appointment. I called to schedule an appointment and again took the time to bring my car in only to find out that "things had changed for them during the time of my appointment and they would have to cancel again." I'm very frustrated. My check engine light has been on for over a week now while they gave me a run around. On top of this their prices are higher than they should be. I have be coming here off and on for several years. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! read more

If you need anything done with your car, this better be your first stop. The crew is amazing, their follow up is second to none, and, most importantly, they stand by their work. I have never had a bad experience with them, and they are, by far, the best auto crew I have ever used, and will never, ever go anywhere else. read more

Jessy was there to help a girl out! I needed a new back blinder bulb replaced and the part store next door wasn't able to assist. Went over to Brakes Plus, Jessy grabbed the screw drivers and out we went. Nice small chat, said she had 20+ years of experience. Minutes later done. I will be back for maintenance to come. Thanks Jessy :) read more

Have taken my families vehicles there for wheel alignment mostly and had no issues with the exception of last 2 visits where they advised me a tie rod needed to be replaced, they gave me 2 options for replacement parts, I choose the lower cost but upon picking they car up they charged me for a more expensive part which I didn't authorize. On another occasion I provided them different specs for rear alignment than factory and they said they would use them but the readout shows they didn't. And one one occasion 7 yrs back my son used then for a front bearing repack and they gave him a price and then tried to charge him more when the job was finished saying it was more for 4 wd , we refused to pay them the extra price and made a scene in the waiting room until they backed down. They have good customer mgmt skills but watch out for getting hit with additonal unauthorized charges. I don't plan to go back. read more

A day after getting my oil changed I drove to Colorado Springs and stopped to smoke coming from my engine. When I popped the hood I noticed the funnel was never removed or the oil cap replaced. Just got some new wheels on my ride and I must say they did a fantastic job! They were really quick and helpful. The job was perfect. They also gave me over $100 off the price. I'll be going to them every time my car is experiencing problems read more

Had a bad experience dating back a year. Had brakes fully replaced, as well as a couple other repairs totaling over $1,000. Originally went in because brakes were squeaking - primarily my passenger rear. After the brake job, that same wheel still squeaked consistently when starting driving, and intermittently after warming up - pretty embarrassing for a new brake job. Called in, was told it is normal for new brakes to squeak for a few HUNDRED miles. Brought it in after a few months, was told the same things - wait and see, bring it back in a few months if it is still doing it. Fast forward to today - I'm told my options are to "just deal with it", as it is not hurting anything and the brakes are fine, or pay them $311 to warranty out the brand new parts since it has been over 6 months. Very disappointing considering I made contact more than once during the six months and was told to wait. The whole experience makes me wonder if I needed brakes in the first place, as the expensive work changed nothing about the noise or performance of the vehicle. They seem to have an inability to fix a simple squeak - very odd for a brake specialty shop. Definitely feel like there are some shady business practices going on. Moral of the story - stay on them if you choose to have them do any work. Make sure they fix any issues right away. I'll be steering clear in the future - my fault waiting as long as they told me to. read more

Went in for the first time yesterday because I was told I needed my brakes replaced by my dealer. After brakes plus inspected my car, and took me out to show me (the only place I've been to that does this) they informed me that my brakes were still in great shape, and nothing needed to be done. They knew that I was expecting to spend money, and easily could have told me that I did need work done, but NOPE, they were honest!!!! Me, my family, and everyone I know will be going to see the guys at Brakes plus! read more

Made an appointment two weeks in advance online for a simple oil change while I wait. They called me the day before the scheduled date and said they couldn't do it and that the website shouldn't have even allowed me to do schedule it, but I could bring it in and they could possibly get to it however it would take all day! Very upsetting! Made the appointment two weeks in advance, got confirmation online. When they called, they even got the time I scheduled wrong (I set it for 1pm, they said I was set for 11am). And then an all day oil change? Never going here or any Brakes Plus! Went to Jiffy Lube the same day they called me and got it done in 10 minutes. Beware online scheduling here! read more

The service I received from Mark, Brandon, and Jessica was insurmountable. They were all so friendly and chatted with my son and I while we waited. When it came to cost, they worked with my budget and then clearly told me what I was missing out on because of it. The time we waited was shorted than quoted and the brake service didn't suffer- my car sounds great and everything seems to be functioning properly. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. read more

Went to the store, because my breaks were squeaking. There was a deal $100 pads and shoes. Also there was a free inspection. After the inspection they told me my breaks were still good and the squeaking was due to being cheap break pads. They were upset giving me the free inspection after finding out there was nothing wrong with my breaks. Then they said they could stop the squeaking, but it would cost $400. They listed some things that they were going to do to stop the squeaking to justify the $400 price, and I'm thinking to myself you just said the squeaking was because of the pads. I refused their services, watched some YouTube videos and went to Oreilly auto parts. I bought pads for all four weels, some lube, break fluid and a cleaner for about $90. It took me about three hours, my breaks don't squeak and I saved $300. Just don't go here. read more

I have taken all my cars here. They do all the work for us no matter the job and they always do a great job. Sitting at brake plus right now 05/28/13 to get my brakes done on my 1999 pathfinder. Had the pleasure of dealing with mark who is the manager. From the time I called him this morning to getting the job done it has been a great experience here. I used to work for a detailing company that handled car dealerships and worked closely with the service departments so I have been around this type of business for sometime. He has been honest extremely helpful by explaining everything to me and giving me every option possible to work with me on a tight budget. I even called my old adviser buddy and was told that not only was he not trying to make me get something I didn't need but also how great the price was. ( based on jersey prices ).. Not only that while I was waiting I saw the service and help the other adviser gave to the other customers and can tell they try to go above and beyond and value their customers. I will definitely be back in the future for my truck needs and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I don't often give 5 star ratings but I was highly impressed by the outstanding level of service from the employees at this location. They were knowledgeable, qualified, and honest about the condition of the brakes on my vehicle. This was my first time visit here but it won't be my last. I will bring all the vehicles in our family for service here in the future. read more

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They are honest and sent me away to have my tires checked instead of doing the alignment I asked them to do. They recommended someone else for an electrical problem I was having. And the times they could help me they did without the high cost of the dealer. One of the best things they do is to tell you honestly when something needs to be done and when it can wait. I had power steering problems and they fixed the biggest part. Since I was low on funds they told me I could wait a few months to fix the rest and I would be okay. No hard sell here, like the dealer. I no longer use my dealer and go to Brakes Plus for everything. read more

This place has about the worst customer service possible. Was given misinformation by this location and was directed to another location who then told me that I was misinformed. However, rather than either location trying to help they were both horribly rude. The second man I spoke to at this location spoke over me numerous times only to "explain" to me why I must not be very smart because how dare I listen to whoever I spoke to yesterday at that location who told me my brakes could get done in an hour. Wow. It's not worth the "lifetime warranty" they offer on brake pads as they make it so difficult to get an appointment and take your car back in to take advantage of getting the pads replaced under the warranty. read more

I'm giving this place 1 star because I couldn't even get service. I parked in front of one of the bays and waited for one of the 5 guys in sight to speak or acknowledge me. Then I moved to another bay. Figuring maybe I was in the wrong spot. Nothing! If this is the way they treat customers, I'd rather not do business with them. Two thumbs down. read more

While traveling thru town on an important time line I had a serious brake line problem. Not having the time to wait for parts etc.... Mark & his super cool staff, (especially Dustin) took it upon themselves to try everything possible to get me back on the road safely. After 2 different unsuccessful temporary fixes to my car they were not giving up on the best fix for the moment. They had me go from very worried to not at all... I could tell by their positive attitude that they were not going to give up, even meaning the company would make more money from me if they did, but they listened to me as to how importance it was that I get to Phoenix that night (SAT@2pm this all happen) Dustin refused to give up and he and another smiling face got aggressive and made it work. Cost is unimportant, (super low fyi) ... the high level of integrity and determination accompanied with work ethic and a SUPER HIGH LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is what forced me to do my first ever yelp review. Kudo's to these guys this shop .... Awesome Dude Manager Mark with his respect and concern for his crew is so impressive....yes it's a brake shop but these things matter EVERYWHERE! I recommend going out of your way to bring your car to these guys, they will go out of their way to make sure your taken care of perfectly. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! Called ahead for a quote and they ended up charging me an extra $105 for the same repair they quoted me for. Then they overcharged me for spark plugs and spark plug wires with an 87% mark up not including the labor cost!!! Then after all this, they broke my cruise control and didn't even tell me, then they refused to fix it even though the tech confessed to detaching it!!! WOW!!! read more

Avoid this place at all cost; I had them replace a caliper that had frozen up, which went fine; or so I thought, more on that later. Took me four visits to get them to attempt to bleed the brakes on my 4runner properly...finally I gave up and decided to live with it! Then one year later I realize I didn't how f'd up these guys were; they play no attention to torque specs. I had a flat and attempted to change it on the road because it was not drivable the lug nuts wouldn't budge with the lug wrench that came with the truck, shortly a guy stopped with a wrench and a breaker bar, 4 of the studs twisted of off leaving me with two of the six to limp home. Now six month later, I had warping on rotor where the replaced the caliper, to remove the rotor I had to remove the caliper they replaced a year earlier the bolts are on so tight I've broken 3 wrenches trying to loosen the two bolts holding it on. My advice would be to stay away from these clowns... read more
