We brought in a car for maintenance. They called and said the car was done at 11am but when we went to pick it up at 4:30, there were lights on, and they had to retest the car and then take it for another test drive. When asked how long it would be, they said just a couple minutes. How long should customers expect to wait for vehicles that are supposedly done after spending over $1,000 to fix an issue? Really not happy with the customer service provided at this location... After waiting significantly longer than a few minutes and being avoided by the employees while we were looking for answers, they told us a sensor got disturbed and they'd need to fix it, so we have to go back tomorrow again to hopefully pick it up. In and out while I snarfed drive thru special in the lobby. I always bring a coupon, check the website, to take the sting out of paying. Beware of this place. Took one of my vehicles in for an oil change and left with an estimate of over a thousand dollars. Was told I needed new brakes all the way around and new front half shafts. Got the impression that the cheap oil change is just a way to get you on a big repair. Update 1/13/17- Put the vehicle on lift today only to find there was nothing wrong with the Cv half shafts. Was told they were cut and slinging grease all over the place. Total lie! Also after checking out the brakes I found pads were worn but not down to the wear indicators. Also found that the rear rotors were fine and within tolerance. Stay away from this place as they are total scam artists! read more

All I need is an oil change and they tell me they are booked up until Wednesday. Seriously?? Once again I was in need of the quality service from the great people at Brakes Plus, Cheyenne. About 2 months prior, I started feeling a vibration under the front of my Ford Focus. It seemed that it was only occurring when I accelerated. Twice the problem had been previously misdiagnosed, including by myself. I scheduled my appointment today because I thought it was one of my interior CV joints gone bad. Within 25 minutes of dropping off my vehicle, I was already called by Jerry telling me that the problem was my motor mounts, one was broken and it appeared a second was also. The repairs were promptly and correctly completed, and I was informed by Kurt that it turned out only one of the motor mounts was cracked (completely) and needed to be replaced. Thanks to Jerry, Kurt, and any of the other great mechanics who repaired my vehicle. It's so nice to have a quiet smooth ride again. Brakes Plus, Cheyenne is the best. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN, NEVER COME HERE. Now I know this may be something people may hear often on 1-star reviews, but I wish I could give them negative 5 stars. Thats how horrible it was there. My vehicle had the check engine light on, and I went to get it checked through them because they could get me in the fastest... no wonder, it was because of how bad the business is (should have been a red flag). When I got back, they said I had 7 things wrong with my engine. My car was still accelerating and decelerating, and my engine was not making noise or anything. To add a cherry on top, my and 2 other people's codes read that there were 2 issues. Breaks Plus claimed I needed a new engine and that my car may practically explode. I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion and I'm so glad I did! When I took it into the other mechanic, I watched as they checked my car and came to learn this place didn't even check my engine all the way. They never took off the intake gasket to check my spark plugs or any other important things!! THE DUST WAS UNTOUCHED. They even tried charging me for one of those too. After talking to the fabulous mechanic later, just like the code reader said... I only needed those 2 things. Now, my car is fixed and works great. This man only charged me $100 vs the SIX GRAND these other people were saying I would need to spend. The issue was my car was vibrating when it got to a certain rpm and that is all gone! No thanks to Brakes Plus at all! I am a single 18-year-old woman living on my own paying my bills myself and they saw me and clearly thought I was going to be an "easy mark." If you are a woman never, and I repeat never, come here. It isn't worth the time, hassle, or money. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT ACCURACY IN YOUR SERVICING CHECKUP! Made an appointment for an alignment, rotation and balance, and an oil change for 1pm on my day off. Dropped my Tahoe off at 12:30 and went to enjoy lunch and errands with family. At approximately 2, my phone rings and it's Brakes Plus - we think WOW that was fast!!! Yay!!! But - no. They were calling to tell us that we needed an additional $1,000 of work before they could do the alignment, but the oil change was complete and - even though there was no alignment done - the balance and rotate was. Here's the funny thing - we LITERALLY had all but ONE of the "must have" things on their list done by our own trusted mechanic in Oklahoma before we moved here a little less than a year ago. We figured an alignment before winter wouldn't hurt, but I certainly wasn't expecting $150 worth of services to turn into almost $1,200. I have a trusted mechanic here - he's my neighbor and has worked on my vehicle before - so I asked him to take a look and GUESS WHAT??? Turns out I needed back brake pads. WOW. I have an appointment with Fat Boys next week. Maybe I'll have my husband drop it off so I don't get screwed or taken advantage of because I'm a woman and CLEARLY know nothing about the vehicle I've owned for nearly a decade. Oh!!! And for a $68 oil change you'd think maybe they would reset my light?? Nah - too much trouble for them I guess. Even with the $19.99 basic service at Walmart I get the courtesy of resetting the CHANGE OIL light so I don't have to. Worst experience ANYWHERE since we moved to Cheyenne. Just sad. Drove an hour to Cheyenne because Brakes Plus gave me an estimate that was $100 cheaper then anyone else to replace two front disc brakes. They were very friendly and pulled my truck right in, and then after about 20 minutes came and told me that the estimate was going to be almost $300 more than what I was told, because I needed new rotors. I told them that they were almost new rotors, but they stated that one could not be turned because it would be too thin and out of specs. I was suspicious, because the rotors were replaced at the last brake job... so I took my truck to another brake shop a few blocks away and they had no problem doing the job and turning my rotors. I told them about Brakes Plus saying I needed new rotors, and he laughed and told me my rotors were very thick, looked brand new, and could be turned many more times. Beware - if your price is too good to be true, it may be because they are planning to rip you off! read more

A few weeks ago I took my Silverado to Brakes Plus because I was getting a lot of vibration when braking. Even an occasional squeal. I had Chevy check it, and they kept telling me my brakes are fine. Brakes Plus told me my pad thickness was fine, but my rotors are warped and they would have to replace the pads because they are glazed. So I had them go ahead and replace the pads, the hardware, and they wanted to machine the rotors. A couple hours later, I was on my way with new brakes! About two days later, I noticed that when I brakes, the pick-up would stop, but then my foot would go all the way to the floor. Evan told me to take it back in, and I did. They drove it around, pulled it in the shop, then told me they couldn't find anything wrong with it. And they couldn't get the brake pedal to go to the floor. The guy told me Chevy just has "mushy brakes". Well...it had never done that before. So I took it out to Kustom Illusions on Fox Farm and had Randy take a look. He had no problem pushing the pedal to the floor. He then replaced both rotors that were bad and greased the bearings that had not been done by Brakes Plus. He then showed me my brakes fluid, which was dark- and what new brake fluid looked like. Brakes Plus charged me for a brake flush and failed to actually perform the service. Next he showed me rusty pins that Brakes Plus charged me for replacing, and again, failed to do so. Beware of mechanics, especially if you are female. I do not recommend Brakes Plus on Del Range. My experience with them was very shady and dishonest. They did refund $95 of what I paid after being presented with evidence that they charged for services unrendered. I still am not happy with the situation. read more

Took my daughter's car here for a simple four wheel alignment, after installing suspension parts and getting new tires, done by myself and an ASE Certified mechanic. They call and say that their technician broke the camber bolt and it would cost me only $263 for used parts but that they would not charge me for the labor.
