After Brakes Plus charged me $1,200 to "fix" a leak, my car was still leaking. I took it to a different mechanic for a second opinion, and he had to re-run every diagnostic just to figure out what Brakes Plus failed to repair. Guess what he found? The leak was coming from the exact area Brakes Plus supposedly fixed. Their repair wasn't just sloppy--it was flat-out wrong. The second mechanic had to repair their mistake, and I ended up paying another $800 to fix Brakes Plus' screw-up. To make matters worse, when I brought this to the manager's attention, he told me, "Send me the invoice and I'll see what we can do about reimbursement." Well, it's been almost two weeks and I've heard absolutely nothing. No update. No follow-up. No reimbursement. Just silence. And let's talk about what Brakes Plus tried to do when I brought my still-leaking car back to them: They attempted to charge me almost $4,000 for a "new leak" that didn't even exist. I took my car in yesterday to have my Ac serviced on my Nissan rouge. They told me after inspection that I needed a new AC blower and resistor and that labor would cost 1440 alone because you have to take the dash off and take the heat core out and put it under a heat core labor code. I went back today and asked the manger to explain if this was right and he stated that yes it would take 8-10 hours to replace because in order to do so you have to take the heat core out. You absolutely do not need to take the heat core out, it took 2 hours yesterday to replace and you can go through under the glove box. They wanted to charge an arm and a leg to do it the hardest way possible, when it is not necessary. If you seem like you don't know anything about cars it feels like they will try to take advantage of you.
