Talk about a fair and honest place... well I found it here. My daughter is near here going to school and needed new brakes. She wasn't sure if it was both rotors and pads and if it would be for all 4 tires but she was quoted prices on the phone and made her way over. She did have to leave her car for a couple of hours (on a Saturday) but she was called once the car was on the rack and only needed front pads and rotors. The inspection fee gets put towards the total of the repair and we even found a coupon on their website. The car was ready in a couple of hours and the work and service were 5 stars! read more

Since my previous review in 2016, I have returned to Brake Masters a few more times. Each time, Antonio, Adam and their staff have remained incredibly honest and professional. I kept thinking that I needed new brakes and they completed inspections, telling me that my brakes remained in good shape. Finally, last year, it was time to replace my brakes. The price that they quoted was outstanding. They did the work as promised and my car runs beautifully. ***Bait and Switch Coupon*** Was referred to these guys from America's Tire. I wanted to get an alignment done after my set of new tires. They offered a coupon for an alignment for $59. Needless to say that's when things got interesting. Upon arrival, they said the $59 coupon was not valid for my European car and showed me the fine print regarding an extra charge. While I can understand that some cars may be different and require additional work, the price increase was just insane. I was thinking maybe $20-$30 up charge for Euro cars. Especially when they show am additional charge of $10 for a 4 wheel alignment. I went from thinking the cost was $59 to them telling me the cost is now $139. That's more than double the standard amount. I could get (2) "regular" cars for less than what they are charging for a European car. Just a heads up for anyone thinking the coupon will do you any good for a European car. Time to find a new alignment shop as I won't be bringing any more cars to this place. I came in a couple of months ago at the recommendation of some folks at America's Tire in West Covina. Antonio seems like the manager there, he was great - super friendly and I appreciated the advice on how often to get an alignment and make sure my car was in tip top shape. Good customer service, very fast, fair priced, and clean waiting area with comfortable leather seats. I gave them a call in the evening around 4pm to schedule a diagnostic on my brakes. I was told to bring it by the following morning anytime after they opened at 8am. From start to finish it took them about an hour to conduct a diagnostic check, give me a quote, replace my front brake pads, and clean the rotors. Initially quoted me at $239, but I was able to bargain down to $200. I recommend this business and will be returning for future maintenance. read more

I just left this place 10 minutes ago got an oil change and an alignment. The alignment with the flyer that I have is supposed to be 69.95. And as discussed with the guy at the front came back to pick up my truck and they charge me 174 with a $20 discount which was not agreed-upon and they spilled oil all throughout my engine bay. Went on a Saturday morning with no appt and the two gentlemen working the counter were happy to work on my car and came off as genuinely caring about my situation as well as everyone else that came in. I went to this place to get my brake pads changed. When I told them I bought a complete set of Duralast from Autozone, the guy as the desk told me that the brand has a bad reputation, because they will cause squeaking when braking. After finishing the job, they told me if the brake keeps on squeaking, I should bring it back to them. Right immediately after I left, I definitely noticed the squeaking sound; it was pretty bad. I gave it a week, and it was still pretty bad. My mechanic uncle noticed it, so he took it apart and inspect. After a quick inspection, he told me who ever changed my brakes, did not add grease to any parts of the brake; it was dry. After adding grease to where it was needed, I took it for a test drive, and the squeaking sound never appeared again. I can understand why they would steer me away from the brand I bought to the brand they would recommend me, so they can make a profit, but to straight out lie to me about duralast brake pads making a squeaking sound, and on top of that, did not do their job correctly by not adding grease to the brake pads, I will definitely not go back to this place nor recommend this place to anyone else. I was there for almost 4 hours. If they were gonna take that long, they should have made sure they did the job correctly. It is a good thing I didnt take my car back there. My car was pulling super hard to the right and making noise from the rear passenger wheel so I went in for the alignment. They didn't hear the wheel noise when they tested it the first time so I figured I'd deal with it later. Got my alignment done here and they had a coupon, saved me some money. A few days later, I started feeling it pull to the right but I was leaving town for a couple months. They told me to bring it back in when I was back in town. I took it back today and they checked the alignment, said it was fine but that the tires just needed to be swapped (front to back). I made sure they heard the wheel noise this time. They took the brakes apart and got down to the bearing. Cleaned the brakes and bearing and said that everything looked fine and that maybe it was because of the tires. They charged me $0 for the check. You can tell they really take care of the clients here. I'll definitely be bringing my business here again in the future. Thanks Juan, for driving the vehicle! Very honest people at Brake Masters. I took my vehicle to get new brakes, and they offered an inspection. I already knew that the front brakes very fine, and only the rear brakes needed replacement. After the brake inspection, they told me what I already knew. They offered a great price, and the repairs took only 40 minutes as promised. It's a little bit far but well-worth it in my opinion. I spent $660 in January on brakes, then in June I spent another $464, and now it's September and I need more brakes. Terrible experience, save your money and go somewhere else. Unfriendly and unfortunately not very honest. They quoted $250 and charged $370 without getting approval ahead of time. To top it off, the change (dollars and coins) in the center console went missing, the owner refused to make it right. I ended up filing a police report with Pomona PD for theft. I asked for recommendations from America's Tires for tire alignment and they directed me to here. About 10 minutes drive from Chino Hills to Pomona. I arrived about 1 hour after they opened. They looked busy with some people waiting in the waiting area. It had 2 TVs and some magazines to keep you busy while waiting. Restroom was maintained very clean and no foul odors. Typically, a lot of car shops smell like grease. Seems like the owner or manager helped me with the process and he was very kind. I had to wait about 2 hours for the work to be done but I only waited about a hour. He said everything looked good and they had to do little adjustments for the car to maintain good balance so tires do not wear out more to one side. I highly recommend this shop. I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE. On 6/17/2023 I had my tires replaced at America's Tires in Chino. Upon picking up my car at approximately 12:30pm, although driveable and safe, they tell me 2 lugs were stripped/damaged and requires repairs. I'm refered to have repairs done at Brake Masters in Pomona at America's Tires cost. I'm pretty disappointed and annoyed but what can I do? I don't have time to argue and need it done. I head to Brake Masters, arrive, meet, and talk to Antonio. I'm told lugs need to be ordered and there is no time that day. I completely understand and ask to schedule the following Saturday. He tells me to come at 11AM and should take approximately 45 min to an hour ("as it should be an easy job"). I'm thinking...Okay, he seems like a professional and competent individual. "See you next week!". Customer service (0 out of 5): It's 6/24/2023, the following Saturday. I arrive at 15 min before 11AM. The female at service desk? My first impression? Not very profressional nor competent at all. I felt like I had to say something first or wait for any acknowledgment for any service. I'm then finally asked the reason for visit? I tell her I have an 11AM appointment. She looks clueless and has he has no idea what I'm talking about. She goes out to the garage to ask Antonio. Apparentely no appointment or note was scheduled (although the parts were ordered). I'm asked if I'll be dropping off my vehicle. I said "No, my appointment is at 11AM and was told it will take 45 min to an hour. I'll wait". I'm then told they have cars waiting since 8AM, my vehicle will be done around 4PM, and asked if I would like to be dropped off. I told her, "I made an appointment, had I known, I would have made other arrangements". She then says it will take approximately 1.5hrs once started on. Antonio then comes in and basically tells me the same thing. Welp! What can I do? Service wait time (0 out of 5) It's now 12:18PM. 1 hour 18 min past my so called scheduled appointment. My vehicle still parked and untouched. THIS IS COMPLETE BS! It's way past the 2 hour mark and my vehicle is finally being taken in. WOW! But wait, it's just sitting there on hydrolic lifts for another 15-20 minutes. UNBELIEVABLE! I believe it took over 3.5 hours. I understand how busy it was. I get it. But don't schedule appointments and tell your customers it's an easy job and make verbal commitments you can not keep. With as many employees there that day, YOU (as the manager) should and could have easily prioritized and done a better job at scheduling and spreading out appointments throughout the day instead of cramming in unpromised time slots and taking walkins in the AM. The later half of the day eased up. Had I known the unprofessionalism, I would have gladly taken a later "appointment". You would think this establishment would prioritize it's referrals from big chains like America's Tires? Overall? As nice as Antonio is, horrible management. No sense of scheduling, time managment, nor prioritization! Work done (3 out of 5): Did they do the job? They certainly did. Everything appears to be fixed. Of course, I will not know until there is a need to unbolt the wheel. I've worked in manufacturing. It's not difficult to retap threads with low or high tolerances. Especially if you have the right tools and expertise. A peace of cake for them! Scheduling, prioritizing, and time management. Thats your job. I should have been out of there within 1.5 hours (based on appointment given). I would not come back to this establishment unless I didn't have a choice again. read more

Amazing honest mechanics ! I went there 1 week ago for an alignment then drove to Modesto and back. Unfortunately the 1 used tire I purchased was defective. Went back to them and they told me that the problem was the Old tire that I had purchased a week ago (sold by Rigo's tire on Holt), so I went to another tire shop and bought 2 same tires and had BM do the alignment again. The reason I was at Brakemasters was because I was getting new tires at America's Tire and there was a wheel stud problem, and that's who they recommended to fix it. Although I had to get my car towed to Pomona, I was highly satisfied with the work done there. Their prices are very reasonable,and are posted on a screen behind the counter.
