Bait & Switch Coupon
J. B.

***Bait and Switch Coupon*** Was referred to these guys from America's Tire. I wanted to get an alignment done after my set of new tires. They offered a coupon for an alignment for $59. Needless to say that's when things got interesting. Upon arrival, they said the $59 coupon was not valid for my European car and showed me the fine print regarding an extra charge. While I can understand that some cars may be different and require additional work, the price increase was just insane. I was thinking maybe $20-$30 up charge for Euro cars. Especially when they show am additional charge of $10 for a 4 wheel alignment. I went from thinking the cost was $59 to them telling me the cost is now $139. That's more than double the standard amount. I could get (2) "regular" cars for less than what they are charging for a European car. Just a heads up for anyone thinking the coupon will do you any good for a European car. Time to find a new alignment shop as I won't be bringing any more cars to this place. Don't appreciate the shady business practices.

Good customer service, very fast, fair priced, and clean waiting area with comfortable leather seats. I gave them a call in the evening around 4pm to schedule a diagnostic on my brakes. I was told to bring it by the following morning anytime after they opened at 8am. From start to finish it took them about an hour to conduct a diagnostic check, give me a quote, replace my front brake pads, and clean the rotors. Initially quoted me at $239, but I was able to bargain down to $200. I recommend this business and will be returning for future maintenance.

The front area. Nice seats.

2018 WRX "UPDATE"... After the leaking issues on the motor rebuild…read more I brought the car back. Martin went above and beyond to fix multiple leaks that came about from the rebuild. I trusted Martin to fix everything and make things right. Martin will do whatever it takes to make this right and have a satisfied customer. I had to have patience and it paid off! The car feels and drives like how it used too! Martin's character to makes things right is why people should come to his shop. He will help out to the best of his abilities to make the customers satisfied. Thank you Martin!!

5 Stars - TMC Auto Repair in Diamond Bar (aka the place that actually gives a damn)…read more Let me paint you a quick "before and after" picture so funny it hurts: Scene 1: Midas in Diamond Bar, 3:50 PM I roll up with a driver's window that's basically on permanent vacation (stuck halfway like it's trying to ghost me). The guy behind the counter doesn't even glance at the car. Doesn't ask a question. Just grunts, "Yeah, it's the motor." Me: "Cool, wanna pop the door panel and confirm? I'll pay for the diag, takes 10-15 minutes tops." Him: refuses to move, refuses to look, basically treats me like I'm trying to sell him oceanfront property in Arizona. I left wondering if "customer service" is now Latin for "get lost." Scene 2: TMC Auto Repair (literally two minutes away, same day) I used to go to this shop years ago when it had a different name. Now it's TMC and let me tell you -- it should be called TLC because that's exactly what they give you. Walked in frustrated and Martin greeted me like a human being who mattered. He listened to my Midas horror story, laughed with me (not at me), and said, "Let's actually look at it." One of his techs pulled the door panel in like 8 minutes and... drumroll... the motor was bad and there was a broken plastic piece in the regulator (exactly what I told Midas Guy, who apparently moonlights as a psychic but forgot to charge his crystal ball). They got the window temporarily working until the new part arrives, didn't overcharge me, and treated me like I've been their customer for a decade (because I basically have). Moral of the story: Midas Diamond Bar just lost a customer for life in under five minutes. TMC gained a customer for life in under five minutes. Martin and his crew are professional, honest, fast, and actually enjoy fixing cars instead of playing "guess the problem from the lobby." If you're anywhere near Diamond Bar/Walnut area and need work done by people who treat you like family (the good kind, not the dysfunctional Thanksgiving kind), go see these guys. 10/10, will be back the second that part shows up -- and for every oil change, brake job, and random rattle from now until my car retires. TMC, you have my undying loyalty... and my window now goes up AND down. Magic. Show less

I told him I'd be back when I got my tax return. Two months later I told him I was ready to go. He scheduled an appointment and finished the truck in 2 days like he said he would. I paid the price I was quoted and not a penny more. I found out later that the parts prices were a little more than he originally estimated, and he also had to spend more labor hours on the truck. Trying be fair and compensate him a little for the unforeseen cost, I tried to give him a tip. He wouldn't have it then he told me "they don't accept tips" I about fell over. This kind of integrity from anyone now a days is completely unheard of. The truck rides like new. Friendly courteous people in the office, great service, they do what they say, the quoted price is the price you pay (No surprises), the shop is super clean with the latest equipment. It was a pleasure doing business with Top Alignment I will definitely use them again and I'd recommend them to anyone who'll listen Thank You George C.

Brought my car in, went over some paperwork and was told I'd be contacted once the inspection was complete. Sure enough Matt called me to let me know there were some items found during inspection and which ones needed to be addressed right away. After agreeing to the updated quote they got to work. I came back to the shop prior to being told my car was ready, and I think there may have been a delay in getting parts needed (dropped the car off at 9am, wasn't done until 4pm). Other than that, the quoted price is what I paid, there wasn't any pushing to buy a service that wasn't needed. I will definitely be bringing my car back for the additional work needed.

I requested a quote through Yelp and my request was sent to multiple auto shops. I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.
