There are five separate 5-star reviews posted on the same dates September 24 and 25, 2025, which is obviously fake. Please review the latest health inspection report from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) on the CMS website, and be sure to tour the facility in person before deciding to admit your loved one.

With my family, this was problematic, as I have a younger son too and work with children in my own work, so we ended up missing quite a few sessions even in the first month -communication about scheduling, superbills, etc can be challenging. During the entire two week period, Mary was very caring and courteous to our daughter. Apart from the training, helped my daughter get over the fears with a very practical approach making her clean using a silent vacuum cleaner etc. She has given us practical tips of how to eliminate the fear by gradually exposing to attenuated sounds and increasing the intensity etc. the highlight of the entire Training process was the care with which Ms Mary approached and made my child feel comfortable

Moira and her staff are truly special people and I appreciate their neurodiversity-affirming, child-led, respectful approach to OT. She gave me a lot of helpful tips for developing his fine motor skills as well. When you have a child who is developmentally delayed and/or neurodivergent, you hear ALL DAY LONG from professionals about their deficits, what's "wrong" with them, how they're different from their peers, etc, and it's honestly depressing. Moira was one of the few professionals who spoke of my son from a strengths-based perspective which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this practice to any parent whose child needs OT.

Her caring, well-balanced approach to therapy was exactly what I needed. Be patient with their office, they're very busy. It may take a few weeks to get the appointment, but it's absolutely worth it. In-Network Status Not Honored / Intentional Overbilling I…read moream writing this to warn other parents--particularly those with HSA plans--about the billing practices at Hands On Care (Saba Kamal). Despite being listed as an in-network provider, this office overcharged my client by more than $600+ beyond the insurance-contracted rate. When the EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) confirmed the overpayment, the office refused to issue a refund. Most telling was the provider's own admission; when questioned about the overcharge, she stated: 'I cannot make money with the rates that Anthem allows me to charge. I would have to bill you for two visits.' This is a clear 'bait and switch' tactic. A provider cannot agree to in-network status to attract patients and then unilaterally decide to charge more than the contracted rate because they find it more profitable. We escalated this to the insurance carrier and filed a formal grievance. The insurance company ruled in our favor, yet Hands On Care still refuses to return the client's money. It is highly unethical to take advantage of parents trying to care for their children. Furthermore, the care plan was underwhelming, and my client eventually sought treatment elsewhere. Do not trust this office to honor their in-network obligations

The endless research, appointments, teacher conferences, and constant questions about how to best support your child and help them reach their full potential. I've sat through countless meetings where I was told my child was too wiggly, too silly, or not meeting expectations. I've experienced the heartbreak of camps, sports, and social situations that didn't always work out as planned. My son, Ben, has always been a foot taller than his peers, and as many parents of taller children know, people often expect maturity that doesn't necessarily match their age or developmental stage. One of Ben's biggest struggles has been tunnel vision, Executive functioning skills, and maturity. Today marks a huge milestone: Ben has officially graduated from Occupational Therapy. This accomplishment didn't happen overnight. It took years of hard work, patience, consistency, and guidance. Mrs. Alex and Mrs. Hannah have been instrumental in helping Ben develop the skills, confidence, and self-awareness he needed to grow into the amazing young man he is becoming. They met him where he was, celebrated his strengths, and gave him the tools to succeed in a way that worked for him. I would also like to thank April in the back office. From scheduling appointments to helping our family navigate the logistics over the years, she was always kind, welcoming, and supportive. The little things matter, and her warmth and care helped make every visit a positive experience. Watching Ben grow and mature has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I truly couldn't have done it without this incredible team.
