This spot may move up to four if we get a good nights sleep Pros There is a nice queen bed. And a kitchenette with a full size refer and top freezer. I had Things to freeze. Coffee maker and microwave. I don't plan to cook Of the three nearest inns it looks the best. We were given ice cream sandwiches and cold water on arrival. The manager " Faith" Is very nice. I think they will be sold out tonight. My room was way under 100.00 The shower head and hot water were very good. Cons No upgrades in decades. This is how my father would have seen it. And I'm a grandfather. The train track is about 500 feet Away and they blow the horn. Lasts about 15 seconds. I m guessing hourly. Earplugs are provided at check in. Don't think I ll use them. The tv is like a 24 inch , I may need glasses to see it from the bed. Jo

We stayed in Room 15 on 10/21/2023; $83.10 for the night. Since the property is on Route 66, it's also right next to the train tracks - we find train noise charming, but others apparently don't because there's a note on the mailbox that they can't control the trains. The room was adorable cinderblock with super cold air conditioning. The room actually had a working ceiling fan (first in all my travels), handheld shower head (YES!) and actual bathroom rug! We were thrilled to find a working ROKU! The beds were fantastic with soft homey bedding. All the linens, towels and rugs were residential finishes, as was the toilet seat. The room had coffee, microwave and a fridge. Loved it and will 100% stay again - which we are! BRAVO, Brad's - BRAVO. Grade A.

Avoid at all costs- motel 6 half the price and not a disgusting pit. Please do yourself a favor and avoid. Don't think I've ever been treated as rudely and unprofessionally in my life. Will elaborate when less upset. Room was very dirty and smelled like an air freshener factory. Presumably to cover something else up. After being told none of what I said was true and having an hour wasted and being told system was down so they couldn't charge me I was told I had to wait in the office for a refund. When I said that was unacceptable and there better not be a charge on my account the owners son came from the back yelled at me to get out and shoved me out the door. This place is a pit. Shameful and horrific.

You get there and there is a sign that says "please don't review us based on trains" I kinda have an issue with that because it is not disclosed anywhere prior to booking... And the trains drive by all night...and they are kinda loud. I noticed the city was a little sketch when I got there... It's cute, but then the hotel looks like kinda a bad area. We go to our first room. The key didn't work so we had to move to an upgraded flamingo room. It's adorable..cute decor... But we turned on the ac and it hummed all night long.. again actually pretty loud. The bed was ok, but there were stains on the comforter. Then I opened the counters to about 10 roach traps. We left to get food and a maintenance man was standing in the doorway of his room with a machete and no shirt on....just scary and unprofessional.... Again, looked sketch. Side note: after the man looked sketch I googled holbrook and later found out Holbrook is actually a huge crime area. So, we didn't feel safe here at all. The owner was super nice and came and talked to us about everything several times.... I hate to give a bad review, but I just want those that have high expectations to be prepared. Don't stay here if you want clean, or even historical.... I couldn't find anything on this property and it isn't in the middle of the route 66 feel, it's just a cute place... Actually some staffing changes this year as well I think. Honestly, no where in this city looks great so I guess if you have to stay here for the national park just don't have high expectations. I am bummed we didn't stay in another city. P.s. the breakfast.... Not the greatest, good try but the staff coming out in PJs that were not even that cute to serve in was pretty unprofessional too.

The rooms were clean and had an awesome 66 Vibe. The young lady at the front desk is everything you'd want as a host: helpful and friendly. She made us feel welcome and really seemed to care. She also had a friendly shop pup who was adorable. While we were there the Oscar's Mayer Mobile stayed the night which our kids loved. Highly recommend! It will be our stay to place when we are in Holbrook. By the way DO NOT stay at the Route 66 Motel in Holbrook.....it is the opposite in every way to Brad's!

Holbrook, Arizona --- "Brad's Desert Inn" is a "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite place to stay along the Historic Route 66 ... all 2450 miles! The rooms are clean, the staff (Kimberly) is so personable, efficient & focused on her nightly visitors. The nightly rate includes coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator & hair dryer in each room. A hot breakfast is included in a quaint & homey area, complete with home-made treats, optional cold cereals & a selection of teas. On your bed is a set of ear plugs if the passing trains botherer your sleep. Personally, I found the passing trains soothing & just a part of the "sounds-of-the-West". The exterior flair of the motel adds to the comfort of this exceptional place to sleep. Considering the atmosphere, extras & "Kimberly" "Brad's Desert Inn" is without any doubt, the absolute Route 66 BEST BUY lodging. "Run-A-Way Bill" was here! (& will return) 10.29.18

Brad's is exactly as advertised, an old school motor court on Route 66. My room was clean and well decorated, although a tad spartan (but again, this is an old school place and not the Ritz). The staff, well, mother of the owners, was friendly and accommodating. Plus, they make an individualized breakfast for guests in the morning. The location was right on old Route 66 and within walking distance to highly rated local (not chain) restaurants as well the historical museum (worth a visit). So why not 5 stars? Unfortunately, Brad's, like all the motels on this portion of Route 66, is located about a block from the freight rail tracks, and those trains run all night. Ear plugs are complimentary but the train noise can be a bit much. Overall a good stay and I would reserve a room again, especially if I wanted to experience old school Route 66.

A little thank you gift with a personal card.

I pleasantly surprised. The area is so depressed that you don't expect to find a nice place to stay overnight, but this place is very nice. Our room was clearly remodeled and it's a good bargain and includes breakfast. They don't have carpet in the rooms so you don't feel like you're walking on nasty hidden germs. It made me wonder why other hotels don't ditch the carpet. The guy in the office is really nice. He gave us a good recommendation for a restaurant within walking distance and he even gave us a pitcher of half & half for our evening coffee.

Days Inn: Where Time (and Cleanliness) Stands Still…read more So, the Days Inn. It's like visiting your grandma's house--if your grandma hasn't updated anything since 1978 and also forgot to deep clean. But hey, it wasn't terrible. Just... vintage. It's a decent stop for a quick road trip break when all other hotels are booked and you're too tired to care anymore. We rolled in around 11 p.m. and discovered the bathroom was, shall we say, cozy. Toilet and shower? They worked. That's the most glowing praise I can give that area. There's a mini fridge and a microwave straight out of the 90s. It was so retro, I half expected it to have a VHS player built in. Now, the floors. Oh, the floors. They've definitely been cleaned--just not in the last century. My feet were black after walking around for 5 minutes. I'm talking "I just ran a marathon barefoot on a construction site" black. Stains? Oh yeah. From what I can only assume were the ghosts of pets past. You'll want to pack sandals, socks, or a hovercraft to get around safely. The parking lot around the back? A little dark and sketchy, but that's just the ambiance. Adds to the "adventure." Breakfast? Not bad! Pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs... the usual suspects. Nothing Michelin star, but it gets the job done. Coffee was decent enough to kick-start your soul at 7 a.m and it's free. Now, the pool. Oh, sweet summer child. The pool doesn't open until 3 p.m., which is the most ridiculous rule I've ever heard. We were all set for a morning dip to soak these tired road-tripping bones, only to find out we'd have to wait until mid-afternoon. What in the actual nonsense is that? Would I stay here again? Meh, I might try something else next time. But if you're tired, on a budget, and just need a place to crash, it's not the worst option. Just don't forget your sandals and sense of humor!
