I'm sorry I didn't post this review of my treatment with Dr. David Posner, MD much sooner, since…read moremuch was going on in my life in the last few years since I saw Dr. Posner, on March 2019. I had been in past treatment for what had been diagnosed as asthma since 2019 when I was a patient at the Lenox Hill Northwell Medicine Clinic at 178 East 85Th Street, 2nd floor. There I saw various internal medicine RESIDENTS who report to their attending physician supervisors, who put me on Albuterol, and Flovent. I decided to make an appointment with a pulmonologist at my wonderful hospital health care system, namely Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health. Dr. David Posner MD was highly suggested to me and then I did my own research on his qualifications, reviews on multiple sites, Yelp, Healthgrades, Vitals, Google Reviews, etc. Hence, upon meeting Dr. Posner I was amazed at his kindness, bedside manner, and listening skills! I explained all, and he set me up for a lung challenge test among a few other tests, and low and behold, I NEVER HAD ASTHMA NOR COPD!!! Dr. Posner explained all in detail, took his time with me, and is one of the best medical doctors at Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health and their pulmonary clinic on the 3rd floor of 178 East 85Th Street, New York, NY 10028. I was further treated with professionalism by the front desk staff, which is extremely important, and the clinic is beautiful. Dr. Posner will always continue to be my go to pulmonologist at Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health in any future issues regarding any pulmonary issues or questions. I highly recommend Dr. Posner!!!!!

I've read many positive reviews about Dr. Shukla, and I wish I could echo those sentiments. While…read morehis staff was professional and friendly, I can't personally recommend Dr. Shukla. I visited Dr. Shukla to get a new CPAP machine, and after a sleep study, he recommended I try an oral appliance for my sleep apnea instead. He assured me that insurance would cover at least eighty percent of the cost and that I would need to pay for the device upfront. However, when my insurance only covered forty percent, Dr. Shukla claimed I was never told insurance would cover eighty percent. When I received the appliance, Dr. Shukla briefly showed me how to use it and told me to return in a month for adjustments. However, he didn't explain why an AM Aligner was included with the device. The oral appliance arrived in the most closed position, so it didn't help my sleep apnea at first. I was essentially left to figure out how to adjust it on my own. Using the included adjuster, I gradually widened the space that pushed my bottom teeth forward, and over time, the appliance became more effective. After six weeks of use, I found the appliance worked, but it didn't compare to my CPAP or travel CPAP machine. My advice would be to only consider an oral appliance if a CPAP isn't an option for you. Additionally, if you have significant dental work after purchasing the appliance, it may no longer fit properly. As for me, my appliance is now sitting in a drawer as a backup in case my CPAP breaks.

This practice is sub standard. Showed up on time for both appointments. Office is tiny and…read moreincredibly crowded. Waited for 30+ minutes the first time and 15+ minutes the second time. This is an office that treats respiratory issues and there is no ventilation, air filters, or anyone wearing masks. It's embarrassing. actual staff is fjne but clearly poorly scheduled and stressed. Not worth coming here.

It is consumately professional and effective, and "very…read moremuch itself" with eye-popping art (much of which was made by Dr. Greenspan who doubles his role as founder and chief with a sort of impresario's vibe. Great music too,. I first went to Pulmonary Wellness in 2017, after a lung cancer operation, and just did it again in 2025 as a refresher and to get myself back on the stick exercising. Over 12 sessions, I improved 87 percent and now I am eager to start ramping up a regular cardio habit. In addition to Noah, special shout outs to Wai Chin for his calm competence and caring manner, to Jose Tan for his upbeat and positive attitude and his diligence, Christine for the juggling act she does, and for being so gracious with all my annoying requests to change my schedule, and to the others with whom I did not work, but all of whom I liked to watch going about their very important business. I could quibble with the fact that you can't listen to your own headphones etc, and I wish they had been in-network, but I am very grateful for the net gain. Thank you all!
