I came with the goal of trying to understand and resolve 4 years of chronic shoulder pain (I have seen various western and alternative specialists with no improvement)- he has been very comprehensive in doing this - and has so far been the only practitioner to relieve me of pain. He was also very flexible when it came to finding a plan that worked for me in terms of frequency and finances. I know this is a problem that will take various visits and probably lifestyle changes - but feel very positive about the progress I will be making.

He isn't a snap-crackle-and-pop agro chiro bro, and we have a good time musing about life while talking shop about body mechanics as he works on my musculoskeletal complications. My high level of fitness tends to be undermined at times by my overexertion. I first came to Dr Veech with a painful psoas muscle spasm that another chiropractor was unable to resolve. I'd had the problem treated successfully in the past by other practitioners, and knew what to expect. Dr Veech was able to resolve it in one visit. His treatments start with a variety of ART (Active Release Technique) muscle manipulations with active patient participation before any traditional chiropractic adjustments are discussed. The entirety of each long visit involves him working with you instead of slipping SOT blocks under you or adjusting your neck without warm up and running off to another patient. Dr Veech has also advised me about effective stretching and exercises, for which I'm grateful.

I sent my MRIs. I talked about desiring a PT program. The person I met with "K" wanted to do some chiropractic adjustments. I was in so much pain after K's adjustments I needed to lean against the wall to stand. K saw how in pain I was, but just went back to his computer like this was normal. There were two front desk representatives. They also saw me leaning against the wall and just diverted their attentions to their computers. I was so horrified at all the pain and utter lack of compassion, I just cried. Took me a couple hours to get home. Some other points: The facility has a dog on site. I have no clue what the purpose of the dog is. Various staff had come in and out of the session room I was in with K. Knowing looks would be shared between staff, which indicated to myself that attention was easily pulled from focusing on patients. I wrote Johnny wanting a solution. He recommended I go to a different PT center entirely. I was hoping he would have used the opportunity to look over my charts, ask me to come back in, reassess. Nope. This is why I can't recommend. If Warrior NYC is so committed to their patients and understanding body mechanics they should jump at the chance to fix any situation that left their patients in debilitating pain. At the least, offer a refund, yet that would probably admit to incompetence. To me, this interaction demonstrates a complete lack of faith by themselves in their own work. Any other kind of contractor would want to fix or repair the body or at least their reputation. On Nov 20th I ended up having spinal surgery at NYU Langone. I truly believe the actions of Warrior NYC led to my spinal surgery. If anyone else has experienced a similar circumstance, contact me.
