There are two playgrounds that are designed to give a play area to children of all ages. The covered pavilion has picnic benches and is located between the playgrounds and the splash pad which gives you the best view of the entire park while your kids run around. The jewel of this park is the splash pad. I recommend bringing chairs and blankets to sit on as there are not any right near this area. The bathrooms are located right next to this spot which is great for changing your kids in. I suggest wearing water shoes if your kids will be running in and out of here, there are many "stickers" all around. I hope the city continues to bring more to the East Side of Buda. There are communities here that have been ignored but are thriving!

It can get busy, but not so much that you can't find a spot--it's all first-come, first-served with no reservations required. There's also a basketball court and, on the other side, a sand volleyball court. You'll often see people playing frisbee or flying drones here, which adds to the lively atmosphere. The park has pet-friendly walking and running trails, a small play area for kids, and a few picnic spots. Restrooms are available, and there's plenty of parking. It's always clean, and you'll see enough people around to feel safe even if you're visiting alone.

It has well established walking trails, some have pretty good shade because of the surrounding trees another area is more of an open park with more of the feel of a school track. Both are nice. There were a few people when we arrived early and as the morning drew on more people arrived. But the area is so expansive it never felt crowded. It was a very pleasant morning on this trail. Upon driving, I was a bit confused with the lack of parking lot, but luckily there was a shared lot across the street. Absolutely beautiful! I instantly fell in love with this park. I've never been to a place that is dedicated to first responders. I'm happy to know that someone engineered this because those professions are often overlooked and are less paid. The bridge with constant flow of water reminded me of a park in Friendswood, TX (Heritage Park). It's so tranquil and relaxing walking around seeing all the plants in healthy conditions. The trails are easy to maneuver and are smooth. There are some parts that are interactive for children and adults to explore which is cool. Even have plenty of seating throughout the park to sit and enjoy the landscape. I even sparked a conversation with an engineer who was admiring the engineering/construction of the railings. I think this has been added to my second favorite parks and when I'm in the area, I'll frequent it more!

This dog park is huge, with a section for large dogs and a section for small dogs. There is a strong and hearty fence, and a leash station to keep dogs from getting out. There are water fountains and benches for the humans, water fountains and a hose for the dogs, and agility equipment for the dogs. There are always plenty of poop bags provided and for the most part it seems most owners pick up after their dogs. There are burrs around, which stinks if you have a long-coated dog, but alas, that's anyone's front yard these days! Most dogs who come are well behaved. Our pup is shy and sometimes has to outrun the rowdy dogs, but I've never seen a fight or anything dangerous at this park. There is plenty of parking and bathrooms nearby.
