Brad had given me an estimate a few weeks back. I communicated about moving forward with a small job. He texted me to confirm yesterday which was great. I had texted him that I did have something going on in the morning. He mentioned that he was going to be in my area at 10am for an estimate and my job would be on his way home. I texted him that I just wasn't sure if I would be home by 10am for the job but that I would be in touch today about 9am. I didn't share with him that it was a medical appointment for my husband but I did text him this morning around 9:20am that I thought I might be able to get home a little after 10am. Unfortunately, I was too optimistic about my husband's procedure being on time. At about 9:50am I texted Brad that I didn't think that I would be able to get home around 10am as I thought and that I would like to reschedule. He texted at 10:05am saying that he wouldn't want to reschedule since he was already at my house and I wasted his time and possibly cost him income. And, that I should find someone else to do my job. Miscommunication or not, based on him telling me that I would be on his way home after his 10:00am appointment, I didn't think he would be at my house by 10:05am. Nevertheless, I'm more than happy to find someone else for my job. I don't need to work with anyone who is so inflexible with scheduling. Things happen whether on the handyman side or the client side. In fact, he was supposed to first do the job last week but his back was out and I told him that it was ok to reschedule. But, I guess his time is more important than mine. Small job or big job, that's not customer service. read more

Brad did a great job on installing a storm door. There are not a lot of these doors installed in California, but he did a great job. Our home didn't have the exact fit for the door so Brad was able to customize our doorway to fit the door. He was also able to secure a hanging ceiling door that had become loose. He fixed the dry wood rot on all the window sills. Removed bad wood and sanded and prepared area for new wood moulding. Caulked and sealed the area and any cracks found around the windows. He primed the areas and painted the new wood that was added. He also repaired some paint peeling above garage door and the wood siding on the front of the house. Primed and painted and caulked those areas too. Brad is very detailed and knows what he is doing. He cleaned up as he went. His work was excellent and very happy with is work. I hired Brad to dislodge a locked sliding window which I couldn't budge and also to repair a bathroom sink that was leaking. He charged me $85 and spent 45 minutes in my home. He did dislodge the window and after taking the plastic pipe apart in my bathroom sink and putting it back together, he said I would need to call a plumber. He did not fix it. Had he told me he is not familiar with such repairs, I would not have hired him in the first place. Finally he arrived without a mask and didn't use a mask the entire time he was in my home. Ugh.
