This year, leading up to my annual cleaning, the office called me multiple times throughout the week asking me to move my scheduled Saturday 12:30 PM appointment to an earlier time (around 10 AM). I clearly explained each time that I work long hours and that 12:30 PM was the earliest I could come. Despite this, they continued to pressure me to change my appointment. On the morning of my appointment, they called again and told me they needed me to come earlier because "the doctor did not want to wait two hours for my appointment." I was also told they "usually close early," which makes me question why they even offer later appointment times if they are unwilling to honor them. I was then told that I would need to reschedule, even though I was fully willing and able to attend my original appointment. I had already rearranged my schedule and stacked multiple medical appointments on my only day off that week specifically to accommodate this visit. Like many working adults, I have very limited flexibility during business hours, and I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a healthcare office to respect a time slot that they themselves scheduled. As someone who works in healthcare, I found this extremely unprofessional and not patient-centered at all. When I later decided to cancel because I no longer felt comfortable with the level of professionalism, the receptionist simply said, "Okay, I will cancel your appointment and inactivate your account. Goodbye." No apology, no attempt to address the issue, no basic courtesy. Patients should not be made to feel like their time is less valuable than a provider's convenience. The lack of respect, communication, and professionalism throughout this entire interaction was shocking. I will not be returning and would not recommend this office based on this experience.

I asked her to get a quote to just have 2 removed that were bothering her and we would get the other 2 removed later. She was quoted $1200 and told the Dr that comes in to do extractions went up on his rates. In 2 weeks his rates changed. I ended up having her come to Richardson to get her wisdom removed and it was $267 TOTAL! She was told she also had a cavity, decided to have her get a 2nd opinion on that as well. Come to find out she has no cavity! I would avoid this office!

When the office mgr, Melinda, submitted the info to Delta Dental, it was determined the summary file was NOT readable. Delta Dental sent Melinda an email stating this, but no reply. I was forced to conference the call between Delta Dental & Melinda at Dr Baik's office. Melinda is overbearing, unprofessional, and can't seem to be bothered to answer a question directly when I asked her if she sent it via PDF. She had NO CLUE HOW SHE SENT THE SUMMARY FILE, BUT realized the file she submitted was unreadable. She was suppose to fax this to Delta Dental, but they NEVER received. She NEVER bothered to respond back to Delta Dental. Delta Dental advised the fax was NOT received. I attempted to request Melinda to send me a readable copy of the summary so I could fax, along with asking her to fax it again. She kept interrupting me and would NOT listen to my request. She is a person who plays victim and kept saying over and over that she can only do her job and REFUSED to listen. Needless to say, I would NOT TRUST this office at all. I went to Dr. Crumpton while I was in the middle of an implant procedure that was being performed…read moreout of state by another dentist. I had been fitted with a temporary "flipper" for four months while the bone healed, but it had become uncomfortable to eat with, so as I was in Texas, I made an appointment with Dr. Crumpton to have it adjusted. On the way there, I took a phone call, the flipper became loose so I set it on my car dashboard, and--disaster!--it took a joy ride down into the air vent, never to be seen again without dismantling the whole dashboard of my car. Dr. Crumpton's staff were wonderfully kind and patient, his dental assistant even coming outside to help me look for it. Even though this implant procedure was not being done by them, Dr. Crumpton immediately stepped in to help. Knowing I was leaving for London the following week and couldn't possibly go with a front tooth missing, he arranged to get me fitted the very next day, at a very reasonable price, and without ever making me feel foolish for what had happened. Thanks to their professionalism, kindness, and generosity, my new temporary tooth will be ready next week--just in time for my flight. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Crumpton and his team--they are not only highly professional but also compassionate and caring and did not try to gauge me on the price.

I immediately note 2019 ???? I've been going to Vanilla DDS regularly since 2015. During my visit on Wednesday, he showed me a big dark cavity at the base of my tooth, then he said the good news. No root canal needed. However, it does need a crown as the solution. I've been telling them for years that I've had a bad taste in my mouth, and they said nothing about the cavity they knew was growing on tooth 32 since 2019. They left that decaying tooth in the back of my mouth until it needed a $900 crown instead of a $50 filling. I've also had other major work done with them. Not a word. Stay away! Unethical at the minimum, evil at most. I literally don't know what to say. No, I have to add this to my list of ways to avoid being taken advantage of.
