Approx $550, including the purchase of lights on our behalf and then the install of lights onto our house. Part of the service was upkeep; e.g. if a string or light was to go down or stop working the company would come back, repair/replace and ensure operational lights throughout the Christmas season. Within 2 weeks 4 strings failed with 1 of the 4 then appearing to work again, they replaced 3 and left. Within another 3 days that 4th string of lights failed. I contacted the service provider and they said they would have a solution the next day. Since this time the operator of the business (I believe her name is Kimi Lynn) has not reached out, replied to any phone calls, emails or text messages that we have sent to her. I have asked for the receipt for the lights so that I could take the string down and have them replaced and have heard nothing. Desired Settlement: Finish the job Desired Outcome Description: Come back and replace the defective string and provide the receipts for the lights you bought on our behalf. I would be happy to just get the receipt for the lights so I could ensure we didn't waste our money entirely.

The light fixture I had installed above my island was missing hard to find pieces. I went to Maple Ridge Lighting to see if they had the parts I needed. I spoke with an employee named Scott and he was EXTREMELY helpful. He didn't have the parts I needed right then but he took down my number and called me an hour later to let me know they had them waiting for me. Not only was he prompt and courteous but he also did not charge me for the replacement parts. I would recommend Maple Ridge Lighting to anyone and everyone. I am not an employee of this company but do business calls regularly. Over the years, I've seen how the staff attended to customers. They are helpful and knowledgeable. We reset our breaker but unfortunately no dice - nothing changed. Our neighbors had no issues, so we knew we needed an electrician. Being close to Christmas, we were a concerned about availability and cost. We were pleased to find out the "Swiss Guy" had availability the same day. Aaron arrived on schedule and was absolutely awesome to work with. He quickly diagnosed the root problem, which was a bad/loose connection with one of our smart light switches. As soon as the connection was tightened up, all lights were back. Since we were fed up with our smart switches not working well (they are kind of overrated), he swapped them all out with regular switches. This was all done in under an hour. Once that work was done, Aaron was 100% willing and able to fix a laundry list of other stuff we had been putting off: A partially dead electrical socket, a loose light switch plate in the bedroom, a ceiling fan with intermittent lighting, and a new bedroom light fixture we needed to put it. He did everything quickly and efficiently over a couple of hours all while being incredibly personable. A good quote I recall from him - when I asked him how much time he had (worried he may need to go), he said: "I'm done when everything is fixed!". To top it off, his pricing was an absolute bargain compared to competitors! In conclusion, we were thoroughly impressed with Aaron's service. We highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work! :)

We hired Dan Wilcox to do the electrical work for our kitchen renovation in November 2022. I…read morebelieve he started the work on November 19th. We paid 80% ($2704.80) of the invoice after the first stage of the work was complete. Since then he has returned on two occasions to continue the work, however it remains incomplete and our kitchen pot light switches are wired incorrectly. When you flip the switch, some lights turn off and other lights turn on. Other lights flicker badly. He has crossed the circuits somewhere so that three different switches are controlling lights that should be controlled by only one switch, which leads them to turn lights on and off simultaneously. I'm concerned this is a fire hazard. Some of the pot lights are also not secure to the ceiling and are sagging down. He also was supposed to finish our above the stove vent so it vents to the outside. He has left it venting into our attic. I'm very concerned this is a fire hazard in our home and do not feel safe using our stove or kitchen lights with three kids at home. He said he would be here January 3rd to fix the mess of a job he did but never showed up and is now ignoring phone calls from both myself and our contractor. He will not return messages or texts, even though I can see he has read them. He has taken our money and abandoned the job. Also totally botched the work that he did complete.
