I confirmed with Costco that each location can charge whatever they want and there is no uniform Costco gas price, pre tax that is, as we know tax is highly variable by county. For instance, today 7-24-2025, it is $3.399 here versus $3.289/gal regular at the Mount Prospect Costco. Booooo! Not a favorite place for gas anymore!

He then took a pair of scissors and starting cutting off part of the plastic collar (which didn't work) so I told him that since he couldn't open it, I would just take my refund and go to home depot to get a can. It was clearly worse after I came out than when i went in. I showed this to the guy behind the desk and he just said "nobody else complained" and offered me another code to use the wash again. I said - can't I just get my $8 back (so I wouldn't have to go through the spooge machine again) - and he said "no absolutely not." WTF? I attached pics of my car AFTER the wash. It's hard to take pics of a reflective surface, but you can see things that should not be on a car after it is washed (and never are - in 100s of car washes). If you want a car wash on Dundee, then drive to Skokie blvd and go to Mobil where your car will actually be cleaned - not covered in fresh stains.
