Something went wrong at the gasp pump, it might have been my fault, I'm not sure, but when the pump was supposed to be done (the numbers had stopped moving and the *click* sound went off) I went to take out the nozzle and gasoline was still pouring out of the hose. I ended up absolutely coated in gasoline. When I went in to ask the owner for help he came out to my car and accused me of driving away while the gas was still pumping (which was idiotic because the car was still there). When I reminded him what I just said about the pump not turning off, he told me it was because my car was too far away from the pump (also stupid because I was within two feet of it and it easily reached my car). When I once again, this time more aggressively, reminded him of what happened. He handed me a single paper towel and told me to go away because there was nothing he could do.
I have a hard time believing the protocol when there's a massive gas spill and a customer is coated in gasoline, is to tell them to go away. I also have a hard time believing, handing me a papertowel is considered good customer service. read more
